  1. Devo max (everything to Scottish Parliament except Defence and Foreign Affairs) is the only reasonable option that allows those who voted Yes for independence and those who voted No based on the promises given by the unionist parties to come together and be able to move forward together as a nation. If this isn't given then the unionist parties will have proven the Yes argument and sold out the No voters.;
  2. Speaking as someone who grew up as a Rangers fan and got booted out of Follow Follow Forums on multiple occasions for having differing viewpoints the Rangers Media forum at the beginning was much better as it didn't fall into the BritNat Loyalist bigot rhetoric that Follow Follow had, sadly however it got more popular and those same BritNat Loyalist bigots came on board and jump on every comment that doesn't fit with their deluded outlook. Thanks to these idiots on these boards i have given up on being a Rangers fan. Is the TAMB like these boards? Partially in that there is a strongly vocal grouping, the difference is most on here who are politically aware want to hear from the other side, we want to have discussions with them as we believe that our belief is correct and that having online debates can flag up the different viewpoints for all to see. Is there abusive people on here? Yes but not in the same automatic way that you see on those other boards.
  3. I would leave the party if he ever got close to any senior post.
  4. He can still be massively effective in the Scottish Parliament on the back benches, he will not be constrained by being in the Scottish Government, he will have more time to do interviews generally this could become a good move for the pro indy camp.
  5. Having the leadership spread across two parliaments would be an utter disaster in my opinion, it would allow for the opportunity for situations of them briefing against each other. What has worked so well over the last 7 years has been the unity of the leadership. Westminster is an irrelevance to the SNP, we are in government in Scotland therefore our complete focus should be here, where we are polling at 49% in constituency votes for the Scottish Parliament.
  6. The leadership is a foregone conclusion, however the deputy leadership will be interesting. So far Tranport and Veterans Minister, Keith Brown MSP has put himself in the contest as has Stewart Hosie MP. Straight off i will say i support Keith Brown for the deputy leadership i think he would be a great deputy to Nicola Sturgeon as leader. He was my first choice looking at them all, i think Stewart Hosie can't be deputy leader whilst in Westminster, it is a fairly irrelevant place for us. I think our focus has to be at Holyrood therefore our leaders should be there.
  7. Minimum adult on direct debit is £3 per month, though you could pay less Minimum annual payment £12 Adults, £5 unwaged and over 65. https://my.snp.org/join As of 5pm today membership at 64,673.
  8. So i got the reason why i was knocked back for the domain i requested: So they have decided my family name is a 'premium' name and i as someone who has had that name since birth isn't allowed to use it. Very egalitarian.
  9. It was 1and1 i went with, pre registered but knocked back today, i'll be interested to see who got in ahead of me.
  10. Anybody try and get a .Scot domain name? Just got notified that i was knocked back for the one i wanted as it was offered to someone else.
  11. I personally would be in favour of a national service bill, but not in the manner that most consider, i would have one where young people provide support to the less fortunate in society above what is provided at present. I would use it to ensure young people are aware of the needs and issues of all of society, we could have all sorts of options available whether it be being involved in rural matters, urban regeneration or supporting the elderly. None of it would be military related nor replacing jobs that are already in place.
  12. What do you want them to do? I personally have given up on Rangers, no longer attend games and now have switched sport to actively supporting the Glasgow Warriors instead (partly cos of the loyalist types and partly because of the way football is these days in general). These aggressive types are in organised groups, not something individuals can rail against without fear of retribution.
  13. Alex Salmond as a back bench MSP will be a nightmare for the Unionist Parties, it will be Salmond unleashed.
  14. Thats where you and i disagree, everywhere is the place for politics, restricting where politics is allowed has caused the poltical indifference in the past, having it part of everything has allowed more and more folk to get more engaged, football is just 22 guys running about a grass field, the importance that many give to it is over the top when compared with everyday life which is impacted so much by politics.
  15. It is the overwhelming majority of the politically active in Scotland, they are now the third biggest party in the UK.
  16. Given that since the referendum the SNP membership has grown to over 57,000 then i would say there is a clear appetite for another referendum, i would just hope we have it on a much shorter time frame from start to finish.
  17. Yeah, you're right, football is far more important than the future and well being of our nation.
  18. But then they have talked of devolving only part of income tax. On talk of Devo max, devo max is everything but foreign affairs and defence, this would never come close to being discussed. The substantial powers they talk of is power over the bedroom tax and part of income tax which would likely mean if we varied income tax then Westminster would vary the block grant accordingly. The No campaign have lied through their teeth on these and other issues ably abetted by the print and television journalists who have printed what they are told without even looking into the claims made.
  19. How exactly do you get someone to represent the electorate when 45% don't want us to be part of the UK?
  20. in the past they have lost elections and no one asked them to disband, how is this any different? Just because they brought us to this opportunity for the people to stand up and be counted? It's more like the Scottish people should disband, just call ourselves the North British now.
  21. I noticed also on Paddypower Scotland to be an independent EU state by 2025 at 7/2
