Whatever became of them?

Enough of this nonsense about transport links to Hampden. Every sports or events venue in the world has problems with busy traffic/transport before and after an event. The stadium is in an excellent position , with motorways and 3 train stations nearby along with numerous bus services. City centre is in walking distance. It is patently better transport wise than the three main alternatives mentioned ie Celtic Park , Ibrox , and the Edinburgh rugby ground ( driving into Edinburgh at any time is a nightmare).

The idea that Scotland would play our matches at some rugby ground in Edinburgh is vomit inducing.

I've drank in Finlay's for years, but I must say it's lost it's way in recent times - I still occasionally jump in late Friday nights for sentimental reasons, and it's always full of very very very drunk people. Surprised you haven't mentioned The Quaich in Coustonholm Rd - smashing old pub good to visit before Pollok games.

Sadly , The Doune Castle / The Village , iconic pubs of their time , is now a Poundworld shop. The James Tassie is next door and a kip.

A surprising article, in that it is so petty disrespectful and frankly childish that Mr Oliver damages his own credibility.
