  1. I'm flying out a week today from Gatwick via Ukraine (Fri) flight still ok so far!
  2. Our group of 3 is picking up. 1 six and 2 five pointers.
  3. i thought the metro advice strange too. Whilst on the subject...here is an extract from LP The efficient Tbilisi metro operates from 6am to midnight, and the two lines reach most important parts of the city, meeting at Sadguris Moed ani station. To use the metro, buy a Metromoney card (2 GEL), and charge it up with credit for rides, at any metro station ticket office. You touch the card on a reader when you enter the metro. Your first ride of the day costs 0.50 GEL, your second 0.30 GEL, and any further rides the same day 0.20 GEL. You can sell your card back within a month if you show the original purchase receipt. English signage and announcements are being phased in alongside Georgian. Station names are announced at each stop, and just before the doors shut the next station is announced.
  4. Seems like it is most folk with 6+ points have been 'randomly' selected
  5. I've been picked too! I'm on 6 points.
  6. https://twitter.com/sfa_supporters/status/633378313831075840
  7. Just saw on Twitter that there are 2 pick up sessions on the Thu and and 2 sessions on Fri which includes one at 6pm at stadium.
  8. If you fancy a bit swimming then there are a couple of pools to cool down. The Laguna Vere Pool is an clean open air, 50 by 25 metre pool - 10 GEL and extra 5GEL for first time visitors for cursory medical inspection. The Radison Blu Iveia Hotel super sky-level pool is open to non-guests for 90 GEL (about £25) and the Courtyard by Marriot is also open to non-guests for 40 GEL or you can try the famed sulphur baths and get a massage
  9. They stated on Twitter it wouldn't be a 100% pick up...however it all depends when tickets are sent out if they are at all.
  10. I stand corrected. FCO advice is also not to drink tap water. You should also have your Diptheria and Tetanus vaccinations up to date.
  11. Was speaking to a friend yesterday who used to stay there recently. They said the water is fine...no problems with brushing teeth or drinking.
  12. A friend who used to stay there recently said main nightlife street is called Sherdani Street. Lots of bars apparently
  13. Me and a mate are heading out on the 28th. Anyone else out that early is more than welcome to join us. Already sussed out the local. A wee bar called the Drunk Owl.
  14. I think the amount of harvesting has been exaggerated. I'm going for approx 1800 making the trip. So less than 200 trying it.
  15. According to Booking.com 40% of rooms in Tbilisi are booked the week leading up to game. That's quite a fair chunk of rooms. I think the harvesting element is lower than what people think imo.
  16. It's got a Hooters http://www.info-tbilisi.com/hooters/gallery/
  17. I for one won't be travelling all that way to sit in an Irish bar, drinking Irish beer.
  18. I'll be flying out 3 weeks on Friday and still no word about tickets!
  19. I didn't realise Georgia were the host for the Euro Super Cup next month between Barcelona and Seville. The Dynamo Arena Stadium holds 51,000. Is that likely to be same stadium for our game?
  20. I got a couple for Match 11 in Bordeaux - F3 v F4
  21. Just click on stadium plan button once. It will eventually come up. It's just really slow.
  22. I bought the lonely planet chapter on Georgia and the area Kakhti seems to be one of the famous wine producing regions not too far from Tbilisi. The Shumi winery is one of many in the area and one of the ones recommended by Lonely Planet.
  23. Will be running the Cotswold 24 hour event. Will catch up with it in-between my 9km laps. :-)
  24. Me and a mate are flying out the Fri 28 Aug until day after game. Flying from Gatwick via Ukraine. Getting out early I know, but want to explore a bit before the madness.
