  1. Palestine is a lost cause for as long as loonball Hamas hold power
  2. Roman Catholicism represents the continuation of the historical organized church as it developed in Western Europe, and is headed by the Pope. Distinctive beliefs of Catholics include the doctrines of Transubstantiation and Purgatory, and distinctive practices include devotion to the saints and Mary and use of the rosary. Protestantism arose in the 16th century during the Reformation, which took place mainly in Germany, Switzerland, and Britain. Protestants do not acknowledge the authority of the Pope, reject many traditions and beliefs of the Catholic Church
  3. Of course it is man The catholic church is the biggest Christian sect, arguably the most religious, and has had the biggest and longest influence in public life http://www.heretication.info/_jews.html Think he was being sarcastic regarding the nonsense of it all
  4. That Papal Supremacy existed for about 1500 years before the Proddies came along
  5. I am acutely aware of the control that Israel has on Palestine and how that pans out for the people living there yes. Only an Israeli can justify the actions their country takes There is the thorny issue of a good number of Arabs in the whole region who want to see Israel wiped off the face of the earth - a point that many who take the moral high ground seem to forget.
  6. I'll make it simple for you The awkwardness of Hamas comment was in relation to you putting yourself and the Celtic supporters on the moral high ground because of Israel's ethnic cleansing (which nobody is trying to defend btw) It was merely to reflect that the situation in the middle east is not as open and shut as that and hasnt been for the last 70 years
  7. What a rocket ....... Thanks but glibly using the argument that Hamas has only been around since 1987 wouldnt suggest to me that you are the Einstein of the subject you claim to be. I would think with the birth of IS, hanging on the words of other Sunni Islamic extremists wont do much for your profile either.
  8. Yes - i believe you are trying to whitewash the Roman Catholic church being the prime movers in the Christianity/Judaism thing when it has been all powerful and jealously guarding it's position for hundreds of years in Europe. And for the record - I'm an atheist
  9. Of course it's not specific to Catholicism - it's a Christianity/Judaism thing However the largest Christian denomination (and for hundreds of years) is the Catholic Church and therefore has the most to gain/lose In fact the Catholic Church does not see itself as a denomination - it sees itself as the original pre-denominational church.
  10. He doesnt need to explain unless you want a history lesson The belief that Jesus is God, the Son of God, or a person of the Trinity, is incompatible with Jewish theology. Jews believe Jesus did not fulfill messianic prophecies that establish the criteria for the coming of the messiah https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relations_between_Catholicism_and_Judaism
  11. Zoroastrianism has a hell of a lot to answer for
  12. Whether it's true or not i have heard stories that Pauline is not the most reliable. Comes from one of the guys in work who's wife works in the NHS Cant remember the actual conversation but it went along the lines of having a long sick record prior to the ebola and being a bit of a weirdo Make of that what you will Could be a lot of pish
  13. Dont think we are supposed to Leone deliberately wanted the ending to be ambigious and let everyone have their own interpretation leading to endless discussions about the film. Even James Woods doesnt know.
  14. The Big Lebowski ending is pants We never found out if they beat Jesus Quintana and Liam in the semis
  15. Has anyone else noticed this siege mentality with Celtic fans this season ? Unless you are 100% positive then you are against them
  16. Absolutely zero unhappiness It's called constructive criticism
  17. Firstly - lets put the opposition into perspective before anyone gets carried away. Secondly - patently obvious anyone would be better than Ronnie who was clearly out of his depth. Notwithstanding i think Rodgers is a good coach (teeth issues excepted) but his true ability will be tested in the Chumpions league proper - not the SPL Lastly - will be interesting to see UEFA's take on tonight's shenanigans
  18. He at least is worth something to them alive so it may not all be unpleasant The others not so much ....
