  1. Had a debate in the office last week and a few yessers blew on about once in generation and that guff. I laughed and said you are living in dream world. The SNP can never accept a no vote as it only exists for one out coming. Team Scotland, he even said it with a straight face. Neverendum here we go. However will the public forget the once in a lifetime garbage.
  2. The dictionary meaning of a patriot was thrust at me, have a look at the definition of nation and tell me Scotland was not a nation before and after this vote.
  3. I know we have debated every issue over last 2 years. I agree we are now tired of the arguments. I am sure some feel sorry for us but over the last few days I have had a genuine sympathy for many yes voters, some family even some on this board. My vision did not agree with theirs but my love of Scotland does.
  4. Surely we are now the strongest member of the union. The only nation where the people voted for the union. Whilst England , Wales and northern Ireland are locked into a union they never voted for
  5. redstevie I know you piled your money on a yes vote and will be bitter, but hating your fellow countrymen is not a patriot
  6. You have chosen to define a scottish patriot by a simple yes or no criteria. You need to now move on open your ears again, move the debate and realise that you do not own the right to define a patriot. Once you have done that you will start to recognise the common ground that you share with many that voted no. Indeed you may start to see some yes voters in a different light, shall I name a certain bus company owner...
  7. I worked the polling station yesterday and I was impressed by the way the event went. No problems, no shouting and no aggression, good humour. Some amazing sites, helped numerous disabled people to vote and can't remember seeing so many young and old in one place. Every single young person was dignified and some bursting with excitement. Saw one young girl with a worn out no badge simply refuse to back down to her mum, who then moaned well you just cancelled out my vote. Its not the side she was on, it was the self assured manner that got me. I was a major 'no vote for 16s', not now. We even had one wheelchair user breakdown and have to push start it..
  8. You clearly will never understand but today I and I am sure others do not have a sense of victory far from it. I have no desire to gloat, if yes guys at work want to talk about it fair enough, but I want to drive Scotland on now and move on.
  9. Proud to have voted no proud to be Scots proud to support Scotland ALWAYS
  10. The majority have spoken and for once it really is the majority. Let's celebrate it and move on. I am not sure how the Scottish gov moves on though without an election
  11. Sober up and move on, you might need a parasite to save your life one day
  12. Why don't you go set up a yes only tamb website then on par with north Korea
  13. Does this not reflect why this forum has been so crap over the last year. Just like the debate on the street the silent majority speaks. How many tambs just gave up with the yes fest
  14. I am Scottish are you? You tried to wreck scotland mate. We will move on with social change a labour party at westminster , salmond out and labour in Edinburgh, now that's potential for change not economic suicide.
  15. I am certainly not gloating sitting with yes friends. I am just having initial thoughts on an incredible result. I worked the election tonight and it was an amazing electorate.
  16. I was very scared last week and thought Gordon brown turned it around. I think that you can chap on an immigrants door and sign him up but will he vote the answer is now clearly no. sri Lankan guy across road said he signed up to get rid of the guy but told me he didn't understand what it was about.
  17. Going to bed now when heard turnout. Sorry guys but its over. I will go to work and start building bridges tomorrow
  18. you are the kind of yes voter that I have time for. No nirvana just a long term yes through thick or thin. Never agree but I respect your position.
  19. Ever thought that the no voters might not be home because they are WORKING
  20. Fair enough but they are in the same line of business and I have ended up placating for for you lot. some of us have careerscareers
  21. Ye OK the usual guff, but I saw it from a different spec tonight and think more than ever the friendly divorce is a fantasy, not trying to bait or change just saying a bit of a reality check
  22. Currently in England on a training course and as a solid no been taken back by the backlash of feeling here. I really think now we have been in a bit of a bubble. Really don't know what the next couple of years will bring
