  1. I was at Glasgow Central low level tonight for a train at quarter past seven. You really would have been struggling to know there was a game on at Parkhead tonight. Sporting Life gives the crowd out as almost 46000. I reckon they are being optimistic by at least 26000.
  2. Know exactly what you mean. Years ago now to be fair but been pulled over many a time walking down King Street, aha mr ------, new jacket? not seen you wearing that one before etc
  3. Easyjet and Ryan air mate. Last day of easyjet sale today so you might me lucky and get some cheap flights. Out on the Sunday with Easyjet early morning and back Wednesday afternoon with RyanAir. 13th to 16th March. Going again Sunday 29th May and back Wednesday 1st June. Booked these flights back in September last year and when i was booking my March trip the May flights were actually cheaper than the £70 I paid in September!!!
  4. Further to your recommendations above Kevin, let me know if you come across any more good bars or restaurants. I'm going over again in March for 3 nights before going back in May. At £28 return from Glasgow i just couldn't refuse.
  5. C'mon, the Sir John Moore and the Edward G Wylie. You have got to be having a laugh.
  6. Hmmmm Hampstead Heath TartanJon??? I know you like walking a lot up here and around parks. Careful down there though. I think they call it cruising. Cheapest pint I've ever had in Landan was in the Volunteer Arms at Tottenham Hale at £2.69. Careful you don't have too many because a certain resident (you met recently) might take you through a certain Tottenham estate to get to the High road. Not clever and never to be tried again. Oh and avoid Hackney main street. It has the unusual concept of making certain areas in Glasgow look plush.
  7. harvester pish is over stated No it isn't pal.
  8. Incidentally I have no idea how the game will pan out today. I know hibs appear to be on a bit of an unbeaten run and rangers have dropped points. I most certainly wont be paying attention to it but as stated above will be delighted to see rangers beaten as I am every time it happens and by anyone at all. Compliments of the festive season to you all
  9. Bells league cup tie i'm sure 1976. Mind the programme from the game cost 12p. We went out 7-4 on aggregate. Got a doing that night at ibrox on the park and then got a doing at primary school the next morning as I was the only dandy don at school. That and the willie johnstone incident with john McMaster (which everyone conveniently forgets) fuelled my resolve to continue with my support of Aberdeen with even more patriotism and may I add for the avoidance of doubt my hatred of rangers. You'll be pleased to hear I will be delighted if hibs win today.
  10. I thought it was a great gesture from the WESTA committee to offer every member a free drink. With only 40 members turning up it was great to get three free drinks each!!!
  11. Ha ha aaid. Not this time. A number of the Dynamo boys were over last week for the game v hearts. I've got a good team phgoto of everyone in the Castlegate.
  12. Giroud to score first and 2-1 the gooners. 45/1 with betfred
  13. I'm going again in May but will catch up for a a pint with you tomorrow night joecraigfanclub.
  14. Have said previously i am not renewing. £3 booking fee. I didn't know that. So in effect it's £48. Absolutely confirms i'm not renewing.
  15. Sad news. A very innovative man. Never understood the hatred for him.
  16. Easter weekend. Would have been good to get an away fixture with the Friday and Monday being public holidays for a lot of people.
  17. Massive blow to be missing Niall today. Unfortunately missing the game today but think we can do it. 2-0 the Dons.
  18. Speak about yourself for five minutes??? Seriously??? You've never had a problem with that before and for a hell of a lot longer than 5 minutes any time I've seen you in the Shoe!!!
  19. Aye a great night. I too was only 16. At least I was dry of sorts that night being near the front of the bench seating in the covered bitty across from the mainer.
  20. Ha ha join the club. Am 50 in January. Probably chatted up the same birds on the same nights lol
