  1. Adams, Ferguson & Souttar coming on for Shankland, Gilmour & Tierney
  2. Totally agree. The rest of our game is on point. Just the final 3rd we are lacking.
  3. These are the chances he needs to take if he wants to make that starting striker position his own.
  4. FFS Shankland - you had to score there!!
  5. Unlucky McGinn and then Christie with a header which he should have done a little better. Creating chances now which is a positive. Just need to be much more ruthless when they arrive.
  6. Chance for McTominay there. Should have got the shot of a little earlier
  7. That’s pretty harsh as it was an unbelievable strike. I’d be more looking at our defence/midfield for giving Reijnders that much space to get the shot of and not rushing out to block of the shot at goal.
  8. HT 1-0 Netherlands Brilliant strike by Reijnders but we could have done better trying to close him down much quicker. Although it was an undeserved lead as we we looked like the team that was more on top. Patterson clearly looks rusty out there which is evident due to his lack of game time at Everton. I’d like to see Christie & McTominay swap roles in midfield. Get McTominay further forward & have Christie playing that DM role he’s excelled at his club Bournemouth. Overall playing some decent stuff and defending well to restrict the Dutch from creating any clear cut chances. Just need to improve our final ball/shot in their final 3rd. Overall disappointing to be losing as don’t deserve to be behind but pleased with some of the stuff that I have watched.
  9. 1-0 Netherlands Brilliant strike but we don’t deserve that as looked the better team.
  10. Horrendous dive by Gakpo. Glad the ref never fell for it.
  11. Christie hits the crossbar with a header. Would have been a well deserved lead. Very bright start by Scotland that I I think we’ve certainly taken the Dutch by surprise with how we are playing.
  12. Xavi Simons goes down as if he had just been cloggered by a baseball bat to the face. Results in McTominay getting booked which was never a booking.
  13. Ali McCann. Still at Preston and playing regularly. He represented Northern Ireland in the youth age groups so probably felt more wanted by them so opted to represent them instead of us.
  14. It’ll be interesting see if Barron is still an Aberdeen player next season. Contract expires this summer and was strongly linked with a move to Swansea City in January.
  15. Another good shout, only Zander Clark has made it into the Scotland squad albeit as a back up. I remember that St J team had a very good back line that season - Shaun Rooney, Jason Kerr, Liam Gordon & Jamie McCart.
  16. Definitely agree with both your points
  17. Hibs 2016 Scottish Cup winning team spring to mind. David Gray, Darren McGregor (wasn’t for injuries, he’d have been capped a couple of times particularly with how poor our CB options were back then), Paul Hanlon, Lewis Stevenson, Fraser Fyvie, Dylan McGeouch, Liam Henderson, John McGinn, James Keatings, Jason Cummings & Martin Boyle (both the latter two were still eligible for Scotland before Australia capped them). Even though they were in the championship, that team is adored by Hibs fans for ending the 114 year wait for a Scottish Cup title. Think it’s the only team to have won the Scottish Cup that weren’t a premiership team that same season.
  18. Matchdays- Scotland top (not sure which one), kilt & glengarry hat (don’t worry there is no feather on it 😂) Non-Matchdays - T-shirts & shorts
  19. Wonder how many Polish fans will have bought tickets in the Wales end 😄
  20. Playoff finals: Path A: Wales - Poland Path B: Ukraine - Iceland Path C: Georgia - Greece Fancy Wales, Ukraine & Greece to make it through.
  21. Tierney & Robertson are certain starters. Patterson is the obvious choice at RWB with no Hickey due to injury. The other two remaining defensive positions, I have based my selection on the players that have been playing regularly and playing well. Souttar has finally had a good run of games under his belt and playing his best football for some time and managed to steer well clear of the treatment table. Porteous has also got back into the Watford starting eleven and seems like he’s been playing well since being reinstated although I had a bit of a toss-up between him Hendry (who I don’t know how he’s been performing in Saudi Arabia as it’s not a league that I watch/follow). I just prefer Porteous over Hendry particularly in that RCB role. Cooper hasn’t really kicked a ball for Leeds Utd as Farke prefers the Welsh duo of Ampadu & Rodon at CB ahead of Cooper. I can’t see him being in the final selection for Germany due to the lack of game time he’s getting at Leeds.
