  1. Jack has been extremely good this season. Arguably the best deeper lying CM in the Scottish league this season so far. Shinnie is barely getting a game at a lower quality level.
  2. Yeah I think they will be fine because unless Shankland gets a bad injury they will go up as Champions this year. They'd probably still need to run at a loss initially in the Premiership or maybe sell Shankland but they'd have room to do so. It's just funny the narrative isn't the same.
  3. Why are you using sectarian language just because you are raging that you team are shit?
  4. Not mad at all. You're the one fumin because your team can't get out of the Championship.
  5. Significantly more proportionally actually. For comparison our wages/turnover ratio is at 63% which is less than half of what it is for Dundee United.
  6. TBF if I was a Dundee United fan I'd be seriously worried. Spending 133% of your turnover on wages and making crazy losses? That's extremely irresponsible and even if you get promoted this season (which you will imo) then you'll still be running at a big loss with those figures.
  7. Did Clarke ever play 3 at the back with Killie? Can't see us changing our formation but think we will see Forrest and Christie wide.
  8. hahaha you of all me trying to call someone else a cretin. That's hilariously ironic.
  9. hahahahahaha the Green & Grey piglets are bricking it https://johnjamessite.com/2019/11/13/an-online-submission-to-the-home-office/
  10. Season after next. Would also mean the 3rd placed team (or SC winners potentially) would enter in EL QR3 and only need to win one tie total to get guaranteed UEFA Conference group stage football.
  11. Getting to 15th this season would be incredible actually. Didn't look possible a month ago and I thought we'd have to wait an extra year.
  12. If we draw 0-0 tonight and then get a draw in Rotterdam + beat YB at Ibrox then there are only one set of results of out 27 possible that put us out.
  13. Just looked it up. 0-0 in both 90s of the two legs then lost 1-0 in ET at San Siro. Their win was the season after in the group stage and was under Strachan: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7019611.stm
  14. We beat Livorno 2-3 under PLG. Think that must be the only time a Scottish team has won away in Italy since it was the first time it had happened. Celtic beat AC but was in Glasgow. Was it not Nakamura era so under Strachan though? Morelos, Edouard, Helander all just one booking away from a suspension tonight.
  15. That's not necessarily true though. You can build season upon season right. Take Liverpool as an example. Lost the title with 97 points which was a build upon previous inconsistent season and they are now favourites to win the league. Mainly because City don't look likely to get 98 points again and they've had that previous consistency to build on.
  16. I think you're missing why it's important. We got 78 points last season. That's never going to win you a title in the 12 team era against a Celtic team with a wage bill of £55m-£60m. The only reason that we weren't far off them in terms of points at the winter break last season was because they started poorly. They then went on a big winning run. Our PPG in the first 10 league games last season was 1.8 which is literally Pedro and Murty level of performances. This year it was 2.5 which again is actual title challenging form.
  17. By this point last season we had 9 less points. Yes, we are still second because Celtic also have more points than they did at this point last year. Our record so far is 2.55 PPG which is 90+ points form but obviously that depends on us maintaining that. In the last 18 league games it's 2.44 PPG so we've been maintaining strong results for quite a while now. It's a big improvement on the start last season and the squad is clearly better in comparison.
  18. I suspect we will make a net profit on player trading next summer.
  19. What? Are you using your entirely own definition of the term cost? Again you're not making much sense here at all. You seem to not understand the difference between fixed and recurring costs, one off costs, player trading etc. Yes, it's part of a laid out strategy to get the club where it needs to go. It's obviously working at the moment as a blind man can see with the increased on field success, increasing turnover, better facilities, better club structure, better player assets etc. We could break even tomorrow but there is no need to that is the point.
