  1. Another season in Serie B for Liam Henderson beckons. Lecce lost in the promotion playoff 2-1.
  2. Josh Doig linked to Watford. Could be a double Scottish swoop by Watford with Doig And Ferguson.
  3. One training session and Steve Clarke will see that Billy Gilmour is Scotland's best midfielder.
  4. (Since Andy Gray has been mentioned) Gray and Keys made Sky Sports what is. The only reason Gray was sacked because the Sun hacked his phone and for some weird reason, he objected. Who owns/owned the Sun and Sky? Gray's boss. Gray is wasted in a studio. Andy Gray and Martin Tyler are the best football commentary duo. Legends.
  5. Is that right?! Oh my god.
  6. You're not wrong. Manchester United used to say the same thing when Darren Fletcher. If he were named Fletcherinho he would be lauded as a superstar. Even decent Brazilian footballers with a name from the Flintstones can fetch £47m (Fred) Being in the five for goals and assists for a relegated side is mind blowing. In his final full season with Sporting, Bruno Fernandes got 33 goals and assists. He went for £50m. I'm sure if Gauld was playing a top team in Portugal he'd definitely get 20+
  7. I'm not a part of the Newcastle United medic staff, therefore, I don't have inside information nor am I privy to any potential leaks that came within the club. I'm working on what the media and what specialist sites declare. From my understanding he had his operation April 22nd. The recovery process fluctuates, as some people recover faster than others. If all good well, a patient recovering from a groin opperation begins light running/cardio three weeks after the opperation (13th May) and the intense running/cardio six weeks after the opperation (3rd June). Yes. I did say that Ryan Fraser will be out for "2 week" on the 2nd May. Which is correct. 2 weeks after 2nd May is 16th May, and by that time he should've been in light training: https://www.tamb.net/forum/index.php?/topic/15560-scottish-players-in-action-2021/&do=findComment&comment=646722 Haven't you been gone since the past few weeks? Weeks? Try months: https://www.tamb.net/forum/index.php?/topic/15922-ryan-gauld/ Arrogance? Says the guy who dictates to people what they can and can't talk about on an posting board. There are levels of competence. Hypothetically, Derek McInnes may have the same coaching badges a Thomas Tuchel or a Pep Guardiola, but in the real world, that don't mean a thing. The black and white way your mind works is that no managers ever make mistakes. If you do think that... no wonder you sound like a robot. I'm shocked no one has accused YOU of being Doaheer. Tell me, what are your view on typos? 😛
  8. Scott McTominay is being assessed. Hopefully it's nothing serious.
  9. The boy is set for life, financially. He's training at world class facilities, along with world class players, playing under a world class manager.. but I bet that moment is the biggest moment in his young career. His potential is absolutely massive. Already I'd say that he's the most comfortable Chelsea midfielder on the ball, as well as the best passer, which is insane since he's only 19.
  10. Nailed it. The football fans among the Old Firm fans would would probably follow their local teams. The non football fans among the Old Firm fans would lose their free pass to be offensive and anti-social.
  11. The thing with Fraser is an odd one. Technically he isnt even fit and he's currently in rehab from an operation. There's every chance he won't make the final cut. He's definitely no Ronaldo, but only Ronaldo is Ronaldo. Ronaldo is a force of nature. Ryan Gauld is far better than decent. Would he greatly improve the Scotland team? Definitely. Statistically, when it comes to production of goals, Ryan Gauld is the 5th best player in Portugal. For a player who plays for a team that finished 2nd bottom, that us incredible. I've watched Farese 15 times. They have always had less possession than the opposition: Harris Seferovic (Benfica) goals + assists: 29 Medhi Taremi (Porto) goals + assists: 27 Pedro Concalves (Sporting Lisbon) goals + assists: 26 Sergio Oliveiera (Porto) goals + assists: 18 Ryan Gauld (Farese) goals + assists: 16 The Portugese league isn't a top 5 league, but it's still far better than the SPL. And no, Stuart Armstrong wouldn't make any impression on the Portugese Primeira Liga. Certainly not for the second worst team in the league.
  12. Probably trying to force a move to Watford.
  13. He might still sneak in if we get another injury. (Not that I would ever wish an injury on a Scotland player) Or if Fraser doesnt make it. Hopefully Gauld is picked going forward. Just think it's a shame.
  14. Going by what he/she said to me yesterday, I doubt they're a newbie.
  15. Their league is better than ours. My guess is that he'll be on the shortlist to win the Premiera Liga player of the year. Politely? You said that he was talking "drivel". Then for some reason you went all "you're going to ruin another thread". That well has run dry. And it's a complete misnomer. Anyway. Ryan Gauld should be in the squad. The end.
  16. Like a kid waking up on Christmas day. Delighted for the lad.
  17. Ask most people attached to Portugese football and ask them if Gauld should be in or not. I've watched Gauld about 15 times this season. He would be in my first XI. You seem to have a problem with people expressing their opinion. Yesterday you scalded someone for talking about English players (we're playing England) and now you're asking me if I think my opinion has more credibility than Steve Clarke's. Just do you.
  18. I meant Gauld. Shouldn't you be putting me in hospital?
  19. Yes. But this is a posting board. If no one post their opinion then it's going to be completely empty. Let's not paint Steve Clarke as Sir Alex Ferguson. (SAF still made mistakes) Just because this is his provisional squad doesnt mean he's right. Picking Nisbet, Forrest and Fraser over Gauld Is nothing about talent. It's about loyalty. However, picking Turnbull over Gauld is unfathomable.
  20. Marshall Hendry Hanley Tierney O'Donnell Robertson Gilmour McTominay McGinn Christie Dykes Goalkeepers: Craig Gordon (Heart of Midlothian) David Marshall (Derby County) Jon McLaughlin (Rangers). Defenders: Liam Cooper (Leeds United) Declan Gallagher (Motherwell) Grant Hanley (Norwich City) Jack Hendry (KV Oostende) *on loan from Celtic Scott McKenna (Nottingham Forrest) Stephen O’Donnell (Motherwell) Nathan Patterson (Rangers) Andy Robertson (Liverpool) Greg Taylor (Celtic) Kieran Tierney (Arsenal). Midfielders: Stuart Armstrong (Southampton) Ryan Christie (Celtic) John Fleck (Sheffield United) Billy Gilmour (Chelsea) John McGinn (Aston Villa) Callum McGregor (Celtic) Scott McTominay (Manchester United) David Turnbull (Celtic). Forwards: Che Adams (Southampton) Lyndon Dykes (Queen’s Park Rangers) James Forrest (Celtic) Ryan Fraser (Newcastle United) Kevin Nisbet (Hibernian).
  21. I don't think Fraser is going to be ready. He's just after a going operation and there's every chance of a flare up if he's rushed back. Most other managers named a backup player list. I'm sure Clarke has on his table. Generally, I'm happy with the squad. Delighted that Gilmour is in. A few training sessions in front of Clarke and he'll be the first name on the team sheet.
  22. Yeah. I just said as much in the Gauld thread. (With McGinn, Armstrong, McGinn, Christie, Forrest and Fraser) Half of those players have either been injured and/or off form. It's a shame. Imagine if Gauld won the Primera Liga player of the year and he wasn't included in our squad. Which is possible.
  23. We only really need two out and out strikers In the squad, as we only usually play with one. Gauld can play either attacking midfield or second striker. So I'd say that Turnbull, Fraser, Forrest, McGinn, Armstrong, Christie are all ahead of him in Steve Clarke's head. I disagree. After the season that Gauld has had, he's top of my list. Fraser has tooked, Forrest has missed most of the season, Christie hasn't been that great. So saying all that, I'm even more baffled. I have no complaints about Patterson being picked. I haven't seen him playing for Rangers, but it seems like most people want him in... that's good enough for me.
  24. Pleasantly surprised about Turnbull and Gilmour. Confused about Forrest. Gilmour literally cannot do any more. He should be in ahead of Forrest and Nisbet.
  25. Essentially, Steve Clarke is saying that a good season (Turnbull and Nisbet) in the SPL has more clout than an amazing season in the Portugese Primeira Liga. Absolute madness. Not even going to go into the whole Nathan Patterson thing Forrest being included is bizarre.
