  1. Totally agree. It seems like the draw was opening up for them and all the big seeds kept getting knocked out, paving their way to an easy route. It was a novelty at first, but it began worrying me... Yeah. It'll be tight, maybe one goal in it. Hopefully to us.
  2. It'll probably be: Marshall Hanley Gallagher Tierney O'Donnell Robertson McTominay McGregor McGinn Dykes Adams
  3. I don't find it controversial. I get where you're coming from. And I understand what you're talking about Redcafe. But you also have to remember that the people "critiquing" Scott McTominay are the same people who used to give Darren Fletcher untold pelters and labelled him "Fergie's son". They only stopped when Fletcher blossomed in the 07/08 season. One of the main things the Redcafe haters like to beat McTominay with is that he "hides". No. He doesn't. If you watch him carefully playing for United he often slips into a centerback position, making it a back three, allowing AWB and Shaw to bomb forward. Another one is that "he can't pass". Is he Paul Scholes or Michael Carrick? No. But he's definitely a better passer than his haters suggest. Look at the facts. In the big matches. Scored against Manchester City with a belter, scored 2 in about 3 mins against Leeds. He was brilliant in two matches against Barcelona and PSG a couple of years ago. He was MOTM in this year's Europa Final. His main attribute is driving the ball forward and covering ground. Every player needs a player like Scott McTominay. Liverpool wouldn't be the team they are without Jordan Henderson, and they haven't been. A midfield needs a certain dynamic. Scott McTominay adds a workhorse dynamic to the United midfield. Does he cut defences open with passes? No. But that's what Rashford, Pogba, Bruno, etc, are there to do. Billy Gilmour is the deep lying playmaker that Manchester United are crying out for. Home and McTominay in the pivot would be brilliant.
  4. That's what I want to hear. Apparently, some people here think this England team has been cloned from the class of 66. ๐Ÿ˜› The doubters should take a refresher course by watching the 96 encounter. That England team would tear the current one apart and yet we bossed that match. Same in 99.
  5. Ah! It all makes sense now. Craig is a "No" voter.
  6. Craig Levein delivers shock Euro 2020 prediction as former Scotland boss tips rivals England for glory Yikes. I feel even more confident that England will flop. โ€œIโ€™ve just got a funny feeling that France arenโ€™t at their best." Good think he doesnt post here, otherwise his opinions would be dismissed as "controversial". For the record, England will most probably lose in the 2nd round as they could face Portugal, France or Germany if England win the group.
  7. Re: Lewis Ferguson Just goes to show that with football, it's not in your DNA. My Nephew trained with Barry's other son, Kyle, at Hamilton. Apparently, Kyle was just "ok". Lewis might have to do an Ethan Hamilton or Greg Docherty and move to league one. I can't see him holding his own in the EPL. He might do well in the Championship. Maybe.
  8. Same. It was probably called off because of Covid.
  9. I was toying with Patterson, but O'Donnell will probably start the Euros, but I'd give Patterson at least 45 mins. Hopefully Adams is fit and can get at least 30 mins.
  10. Why is that your go-to response? Someone says that x player is better than y player, you reply with "I'm sure you're more qualified than the manager". Again, you have a weird thing with opinions. You don't think people should have any. Sure thing. You'll see that the numbers stack up and are very conclusive: https://www.tamb.net/forum/index.php?/topic/13218-scott-mctominay/&do=findComment&comment=628186
  11. Anywhoo.. This isn't the time to argue. Let's just see what happens.
  12. Maguire is out. Nope. Just 9 months ago you said that playing 3 at the back was "baffling". You don't remember? Do you really want me to paste the numbers of 3 at the back vs 4 over the past 22 years? Please say yes! We'll see.
  13. I have given you several reasons why England are overrated. And yet you are just ignoring it.
  14. Marshall Hanley Gallagher McKenna O'Donnell Taylor McTominay Gilmour McGinn Nisbet Fraser
  15. You thank heavens, do you? Are you one of the many that wanted to stick to a back four, by any chance? One of the many right things that I've called is switch to a three and qualify. The ilk of England? Dear lord. Does anyone here watch anything other than Scottish football? Even a lot of English people were burrowing their brows at White, Coady and Philips. lol Anyway. Enough talk. Let's see what happens, shall we.
  16. I think it's been all but confirmed that Maguire is out of the group matches. Fantasy? Controversial? I remember you laughing at the concept of playing with a three at the back against Israel last year. What did you call it? An alien system? How did that pan out? Looking forward to Euro 2020? I say what's on my mind. If you think that's controversial then fine. Up to you. You don't like people having opinions. So everything is controversial to you.
  17. They have to be, if they are to live up to their billing as favourites. Spain? Most recent time England beat Spain was in 2018. People are talking about England as if they're world beaters and so far ahead of us. It isn't true.
  18. Disagreed. Which part? Are Mings and Coady the new Nesta and Baresi? ๐Ÿ˜› Philips, the new Gullit?
  19. Is that the sole issue, though? In some quarters, England are favourites. That is Twilight Zone stuff. It's marginal. I mean, how better are Mings and Coady to McKenna, Hanley, Cooper or Hendry? Not much. McTominay, Tierney, Robertson could walk into their team. With our centerbacks giving theirs a run for their money. Even Gilmour would be pushing the first XI. Same with McGregor.
  20. True. Against Austria, he and Mings didn't appear to be the most stable of partnership. With Magure out I wouldn't be surprised if they played with a three. I thought they would've did it against Austria, to be honest.
  21. I tried to draw up how England will line up against us. They're so thin in midfield that I originallt put Mount, twice. Players from Everton, Wolves, West Ham, Leeds. These players aren't exactly going to make it into an all-time England first XI. There's nothing bitter or fool about it. Coady, Foden, Mount, Rice and Sancho are all novices at this level. Best I can do: Pickford Walker - Stones - Coady - Shaw Mount - Rice - Philips (struggling with injury) Foden - Kane - Sancho Or Pickford James - Coady - Stones Walker Shaw Rice - Philips (struggling with injury) Mount Foden Kane
  22. I think O'Donnell will surprise a few people. And yes, that's the beauty of playing with a three. England don't really have wingers, though. If anything, those three will be a problem for our centerbacks to solve.
  23. Oh cool? Really? I hope so. If we all collectively have positive vibes we can do an anti Uri Gellar.
