  1. Oh cool Vankerkind (I can't be bothered learning his name) is the TAMB's Donald Trump. The "Lionel Messi would be lost In midfield" ranks amongst anything that Trump has ever said.
  2. No, there was no joke. I was illustrating how easy it is. See? So easy.
  3. Really? He suggested that Lionel Messi would be lost if he played a deep role in midfield.. I'm not sure how to compute that. If a dumber thing was said online, please post or recite it. I can't think of one.
  4. What a load of bollocks. Jesus died for our sins? Oh, what a convenient way of absolving human beings for the horrors that they commit around the globe on a daily basis. "I can rape this woman, but it's fine as Jesus Christ paid for it" People around the globe dying though starvation and murders, women being raped on a daily basis, people being homeless, injustices happening on a rate of minutes and seconds, all the human beings dying as they believe in the "wrong" things. But that's all fine and dandy, as Jesus died for all those things. That makes things all better. Just go to Africa and tell the parents whose babies are dying through malnutrition that it's all "God's plan", and the women who get gang-raped that it's all fine as God and Jesus has her back. The fact that in 2018 people still believe the teachings of a glorified fairy tale book, well, it's incredible. It's incredible how utterly moronic human being truly are. Religion is the biggest money making scheme in the history of mankind. Death to Christmas.
  5. I missed nothing. You overplayed your hand by suggesting that one of the two most talented players (maybe ever) would struggle to play a certain role on the field. It was one of the biggest internet fails, sorry. So, in essence, Kimmich and Alaba (Two brilliant fullbacks) play at full back for their clubs, (although Kimmich has started the season in midfield with Bayern Munich) and they are played as anchormen for the national teams. This is accepted by all. And yet, when the idea is brought to Scotland fans about doing the same thing with Robertson, the idea is thrown out? In fairness, a few people here have said that he would be great in midfield, so it's not everyone who looks upon the idea as if it were a note, written in Alien language, attached to a Meteor.
  6. Out of sight out of mind, I'd imagine. See? How does this further the conversation about our players abroad? Dear god. You must be a hoot to talk to in real life. Every other thing that you reply to must be a sarcastic quick. Bloody hell.
  7. Yes, because Gus McPherson played for Liverpool. he played in the EPL, he played in the European Cup final, he got lauded from top managers in the game, he had a £72.1 million price tag, he captained Scotland, Liverpool fans chanted his name in every single match, people claimed that McPherson could've played for Barcelona. Apart from that that Robertson and McPherson were identical. Seriously, mate, if all you can do is enter threads and be sarcastic, you have way too much time on your hands. That goes for everyone who ever posted on a posting board. Try to form constructive points in your head and then post them. Sarcasm is the lowest for of wit, anyone can do it.
  8. Kimmich has played anchorman for Germany in their last 6 matches (He plays more as a fullback for Bayern), and it's pretty much the same with Alaba. Circumstances? They're both class players (who are brilliant as fullbacks), so they can pretty much play anywhere. I remember the last Euro Championships when Kimmich was pretty much the stand out at right back for Germany, his marauding runs were a trademark. But the took that energy and put it into midfield. I think Robertson is every bit the player that Kimmich is (which is a compliment) and putting that energy and quality into midfield would be a piece of genius. Definitely.
  9. What, you mean when we got to the play offs against England, lost 2:1 on aggregate and absolutely battered them at Wembley, where David Beckham was pulled back so much that it was like he was a right back for the last half an hour and the matches that were the catalyst for Kevin Keegan quitting and realizing that he wasn't up to the job? Yes, Craig Brown "failed" to qualify once out of three times. I suppose that's worse than what, 9 failed attempts? Yeah, who needs to set the bar high with actually qualifying. Really? We have better players then? Gosh, that can't be the case, surely, I can link you to dozens of posts in this place where people say that we are strong in midfield. Are you? Really? Are you? Doesn't sound like it. With the manner of the "it's fucking bonkers" it sounds like you think Danny Fox is next in line. The best players in the world can adapt to play anywhere. Some joker tried being sarcastic about Messi playing as an anchorman, not realizing that not only could be play in that position but he'd be amazing. Why? As he's a once in a generation player. Yeah, I haven't played Football Manager since Football Manager 2013. I stopped playing when they introduced Steam. (Buying and then needing permission to play the game you actually own is beyond stupid). I have managed to download FM 2019 which bypasses Steam, but I doubt I'll have time to play it.
  10. I actually prefer MVP as it is what it is.
  11. I'd only focus on these five.
  12. I'd say so. Far from totally uncommon, though.
  13. Kimmich? Alaba? He was instrumental in Brescia winning Serie B. He did well enough that he got a move to Inter Milan. He did struggle at Inter Milan, though.
  14. Darren Fletcher was better than Ferguson and Brown combined. Plus he never retired or embarrassed his country, so that puts him ahead in my book.
  15. I know. Darren Fletcher literally put playing for Scotland ahead of his health. I remember that he drove from Manchester to Glasgow and he made about 10 or 12 bathroom stops along the way. It's a pity the illness curtailed his career.
  16. Have people forgoten that we still have Kieran Tierney? I hear that he's still young and still pretty decent. It wasn't that long ago that people were saying that Tierney was better than Robertson. People have short memories.
  17. 7 teams played with a 3 in the EPL over the weekend, too.
  18. And the reason that I "regurgitate the same shite" is because every single day people keep asking me the same questions.
  19. Yes. When Berti came in (2000?) he ripped up Craig Brown's successful formula and reverted to four at the back, we've been playing with 4 ever since. I'd actually play a midfield 3 of Armstrong, Robertson and Fraser, with Forrest and Fletcher up front, or even giving Forrest and Fraser freedom to roam.
  20. Actually, I'm glad you said that. Pirlo started his career with Brescia and Inter Milan as an attacking midfielder, it was AC Milan that pushed him into an anchorman position.... to dazzling results. The football knowledge of some people in this place is strange. They think that players are unable to play in more than one position.
  21. Yeah... I'm asking some of the players to adapt to a new formation and new tactics, I'm not asking them to adapt to a new sport. Difference is, Liverpool have Keita and Fabinho in midfield... we don't. Robertson would be an absolute tiger in midfield.
  22. See my "Livingston" thread. I'd play Robertson as an anchorman.
  23. A back 4 hasn't really been successful for the past 18 years, so why are people so obsessed with it? Serious question. Well, I disagree. With the emergence of Bates, McKenna and Souttar, it might be the time to try.
  24. This is my point, people are talking about one defeat and yet we've played with 4 for the past 18 or so years with god knows how many defeats, yet people are fine to stick with the 4. It's all about timing. We played with a three at home to Albania and away to Israel, but if it was at home to Israel and away to Albania then we would've probably have gained 6 points.
