  1. If anyone thinks that the Notre Dame cathedral is all about religion, the men in white coats called, they have your room ready. The roof was built by felling 13,000 trees, so we'll be waving goodbye to 13,000 more. It would be nice if they could find a suitable substitute. Researchers have found that hemp-based fiberboards to be twice as strong as wood, but what with the timber industry playing an instrumental part in demonizing Hemp, there's little chance of that happening.
  2. The SFA killed Scottish football, as well as the Scotland national team. This is not even a question. People can blame Rangers and Celtic all they want, but in Scottish football the tail wags the dog.
  3. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/scott-mctominays-remarkable-manchester-united-14337284 Hopefully he has another man-of-the-match performances tonight and United progress.
  4. Tierney will most likely spend his entire career with Celtic. They don't have to sell anyone and they've made it clear that they won't accept anything less than £25m. There is no chance a team will ever spend that kind of money on a Scottish player based in Scotland. People keep saying that players are the ones who hold the power, and in most cases that's true, but not if a player loves the club. I can't see Tierney digging his heels in and demanding a move any more than I can see Celtic sell him for less that what they want.
  5. No we don't: McLean, McGregor, Armstrong, Fleck, etc, are much of a muchness. Personally I don't rate any of them. I don't think that's the case at all. Against Wolves United had most possession and McTominay was pretty much running the midfield, topping it off with a goal. Against weaker teams he'd do a lot of damage stepping forward. Some people have this misconception that he's an anchorman, solely a destroyer, but he isn't. He has more to his game than that.
  6. It wouldn't happen as Arsenal play with a back three.
  7. Exactly. The inclusion of McNulty over Harper was just a bizarre choice. Harper is holding his own against the second tier of Spanish football, and he's just gotten a move to a top 5 La Liga team. How this doesn't warrant a call up is beyond me. Harper should've been involved in the previous two squads, without doubt. And as for McBurnie, I think he's found himself on the bench for the past few weeks... and yet odds are he'll still be our number one pick. Not calling up Harper and keeping McTominay on the bench... the more I think of it, the more I'm convinced that McLeish has lost his marbles.
  8. I don't buy/watch Scottish media, mate. What argument? Why is everything an argument with you? I don't have to support my argument. What do you want me to do? Wax lyrical about Ian Durrant for a dozen or so paragraphs? I could do that quite easily, do you want me to?
  9. I'd place good money on that being the case. The SFA won't fire him, he has too many friends in high places in the SFA. He won't be fired. Chances are that the SFA will wait till McLeish's contract is up, they'll then go the cheap option by appointing McCall, Mackay or Gemmill as manager.
  10. I don't particularly agree with Durrant's politics (he's a bit of a bigot) nor do I care much for either half of the Old Firm, so I'm 100% neutral on this. If Ian Durrant didn't get injured he would've become world class, maybe even better than Paul Gascoigne. It would've been virtually impossible for Rangers to hang to him, it would've just been a matter of time till a major club bought him. Man United, Liverpool and Sampdoria (among others) were looking at him. Personally I feel Scotland was robbed of a potentially world class player. If people took off the blinkers and stop being immature they'd admit that he would've been one of the best players that Scotland ever produced. I shouldn't had to preface this with me saying that I'm not a Rangers fan, but apparently that's the society that we live in. I'm not a Rangers fan, I'm just an intelligent adult.
  11. Agreed. As far as technique goes, he's one of our best players. But apparently there's an issue with his ill Mum. I think Scotland should take a backseat to that kind of situation. I don't really understand why people are obsessed with pace. Remember the world clash Spanish team with Iniesta, Xavi, Torres, etc? I don't remember any pace in that team. They had unbelievable technique and skill so they pretty much passed teams to death. Oliver Burke is one of the fastest players in the world, but he's so cumbersome.
  12. I think it has something to do with it, to be fair. He had a great start at United, but he's nowhere nearly good enough to be manager of Manchester United. His bubble has burst.
  13. Cool. Thanks for that. That'll teach me for missing the build up to the match.
  14. OGS is a strange manager. Simple fact is, if McTominay cost £50m+. he'd start every match, but he didn't, so he doesn't.
  15. They'll most probably play with a three man central midfield against Barca with Fred as the anchorman. The lad is 22 years of age. I'm sure he can play 3 games in a week, Fred and Pogba will. I'm not buying any excuses, it's pretty clear to me that OGS doesn't rate McTominay. After the PSG match he was dropped for the next three matches, losing two of them.
  16. Yeah, that appears to be the popular opinion, but the West Ham game is a must win to salvage something from their season. To bench a player that's red-hot is just... for lack of a better word, stupid. It's funny how Fred and Pogba don't get rotated... maybe it's because they cost £150m...
  17. McTominay is on the bench. Reading comments from United fans over the past few days, they'll be fuming. And we think McLeish is clueless.
  18. Really? If that's the case then to hell with Scotland. Some things are way more important.
  19. Man love? Dude, you're one who said that you had a boner for him when you first saw him. 172 posts in 20 years? So, you post 8 posts per year. Do you just not have much to say?
  20. To be fair, I talk about 3-5-2 a LOT more than I do about McTominay. I also talk a lot about Robertson and his potential to be a kickass anchorman. You're pretty much new here, so I give you a bye for not knowing the aforementioned details.
  21. So, you had a "rager" for him since you first seen him?
