  1. That's definitely viable but we don't know & may never so until we hear something official I'd rather give calling the kid a rest.
  2. Please admin close this topic so we don't need to read extracts from people's over active imaginations. He has started a handful of first team games this season , whether we like it or not England aren't desperate enough to call up players after such limited first team football it's only the smaller nations like us that need to consider such things due to lack of alleged quality options.
  3. Yeh exactly so the reality is we are probably 3 or 4 starting players short of being a top table side. Better than we've been for years but let's not kid ourselves that there's not huge room for improvement.
  4. Yeh maybe out of respect for us he didn't want to be called up to their under 21's. Maybe the lad is genuinely undecided but I still can't help wondering if we had played anyone but England in the anniversary game he might have already been capped albeit in a non committal friendly. Anyway it's got kinda boring chatting about him when none of us know what's going on in his head so I certainly won't be posting anymore until he finally decides.

It makes you wonder doesn't it🤔
  6. Yeh Bristol city fans raving about him, even comparing him to Alan Shearer 😆 Seems to have all the attributes to be a top striker, though he had dodgy hamstrings which sounds familiar here😪 He has already trained with the full squad so if he continues scoring he should be called up for the Georgia game. Let's not take any chances incase England come sniffing as he is only 21 so guess he is young enough to play for their under 21's . Another championship player who had another good game this week was Luis Binks. Coventry fans loving him, solid defensively & as he is so comfortable on the ball he seems to like to push forward from the back. Maybe he is the ideal K.T back up.
  7. The Ryan Jack of 12 to 18 months ago yes but I'm not sure he is capable of that form now.

Just been reading up on Lawrence & Mellon. Lawrence only just turned 18 & could be one up get quite excited about in a year or 2. Guess he qualifies through his mum? Mellon's dad was a good little midfielder, junior version is like you say scoring regularly in league 2 & the fans seem to rate him so here's hoping he is capable of stepping up a league or 3!🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🩷
  9. Nice to know, sounds promising 🤞 I know you've mentioned Luis Binks before, apparently had a good game for Coventry last night, fans saying he is a very composed left footed centre back with a good range of passing. He is the just the style of defender we need to find that's capable of stepping up to senior level. Lads only just turned 22 & already has plenty first team experience in Italy . I reckon a good season playing well & regularly at Coventry & he could be a dark horse to make our Euro 24 squad 🤞🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
  10. More good info Syecosse, excellent work👌
  11. Yeh straight after I posted that I thought I didn't word it well . Stepped up is certainly not the case, deemed possibly capable of doing in no small part due to lack of quality options is more appropriate.
  12. Some very positive comments from Plymouth fans about Hardie, still not convinced he could step up to international level but Shankland & Nisbet seem to have managed it could so you never know. https://pasoti.co.uk/threads/ryan-hardie.125093/
  13. Celtic 2 Scottish starting, 4 on the bench so I take it their a deplorable club without identity also🤔 The reason the Scots are on the bench at both clubs is pretty simple really , they either aren't ready, aren't in form ( Ryan Jack maybe) or the most logical reason they simple aren't good enough!
  14. Great to hear , let's hope that high praise leads to a few at the very least appearances from your bench this side of Christmas. If it does & he looks the part you never know who could be starting games regularly at the the age of 17.
  15. Brilliant news🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🤞
  16. I'm not knocking him, I believe he was even good enough to make the SPL team of the season a few years ago. I'm just saying from reading about him on the Barnsley & Stoke forums there was too many fans say consistently how poor his distribution was .
  17. I'll have my say about Lindsay again even though it's mainly from reading fans opinions, I've seen him live but only thru beer tinted glasses from the PNE away end . Overall he seems to be a strong defender but seriously limited with the ball so reckon the only way Clarke would chance him would be in the centre of a 3. He is only 27 so you never know he could perhaps long term replace Hanley but as we all know we have a few established alternatives for that central role so unless there's a injury crises I just don't see a window for Lindsay to get in. I guess also Hyam was in the last squad right? I expect due to being more technically solid he will stay in or around the squad for a year or 2 & hopefully over that time some younger better quality options will emerge to replace the older/veterans like Hanley, Cooper & Hyam.
