  1. Interesting. Well if he did really have to apologise then I hope the explanation was that he was just bantering with his team mates. I mean, which on of us hasn't banter Ed about how shite an upcoming Scotland match might be? Especially those of us who work with a lot of English people. Still, stupid of him to do that on video.
  2. The BBC article says he addressed the squad to clear the situation up. Didn't actually say he apologised.
  3. Haha yeah, he'll feel right at home in Nardini's.
  4. Thought you guys might be interested in this stat in regards to your bet: This Friday marks six years to the very day that Scotland last failed to score a goal in a home qualifying match, and it was against Belgium.
  5. Venice to Ayrshire, that's a harsh transition 😂 Seriously though, it will be interesting to see how he plays in Scotland.
  6. It's slow, and we do have a long way to go, but it really does feel like things are moving in the right direction at the moment.
  7. Well that's been six months, and I'd actually say a lot more of these have come true than I'd expected!
  8. Lolz. I love that you're on a Scotland supporters forum trying to defend yourself for calling one of our players a "bitter hun cunt" with no real basis for any of that other than he's a Rangers fan, and now you're all butt hurt because you got called out on it. I don't give a fuck what pejoratives people use, but at least try to not use them against our lads if you're an actual fan! He also has talked about how he grew up as a Scotland fan living in England and how he used to wear his Scotland top to school as a kid. Can't have been easy for him. He's a good lad in my book. I'd call him a "crackin' hun cunt".
  9. Interestingly Belgium only have one more player (10) from the EPL than us (9) in their squad. Though they do have another 7 from the top 4 European leagues. Russia only have a single representative from one of the big four European leagues in their squad.
  10. This is the starting line-up I want to see (apart from RB and Goalie, where I'm not too fussed which one of the options starts).
  11. Bates started for Wednesday and Byres has scored for Swansea. Also spotted Ruben Sammutt on the bench for Sunderland. Maybe one to keep half an eye on?
  12. Liam Kelly v Craig MacGillivray in the EFL Cup this evening.
  13. If you play Revolution 9 backwards you can hear Lennon say that Oli McBurnie is dead.
  14. Good stuff mate. If you do in fact live in the same hood as me as your username suggests I'll maybe get a chance to buy you a pint down the pub while actually supporting Scotland, rather than tearing them apart endlessly. 🍻
  15. I think it was a discussion based on this article https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/oct/04/swansea-oli-mcburnie-scotland-socks-shin-pads-interview. Have a search around.
  16. I'm just gonna leave this here for some of you to read through - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia
  17. Not convinced by this at all. Remember only a few months back when we were celebrating his attitude towards the national team?
  18. I reckon he'll get at least one tonight.
  19. So far this season McBurnie this season has scored a goal for every 90 minutes he has played so far this season
  20. Counter point: There are more players from the EPL in this squad than there have been in recent history.
  21. For me this would be the best starting lineup v Russia: Marshall Jack Hanley Mulgrew Robertson McGregor McTominay McGinn Forrest McBurnie Fraser
  22. No giant surprises. Great to see Snoddy back.
  23. Yeah agreed, but obviously we don't have them.
  24. This feels like an obvious criterium for me, but maybe I'm wrong: I don't think you should get a start for your country if you can't get a start for your club. I like Armstrong, but a lot of people on here talk about him starting in the upcoming matches and I just can't see how to justify that. He needs to actually play serious competitive football before he merits a start for Scotland. Only exception to this for me at the moment is McBurnie, because I think he's being phased into the team still. I imagine he'll be starting for Sheffield Utd very soon. It doesn't seem like this is Armstrong's trajectory.
  25. Yeah, we're a lot better at home than we should be, and a lot worst away from home than we should be. It's the Scotland Paradox.
