Why? 2 friendlies would allow some more of the fringe players get gametime and experience. Maybe a chance to try a new keeper. By your logic we shouldnt bother playing 1 friendly. Plenty of countrys outside of europe who might want a game.

So is it just 1 friendly getting played? Surely we could have gotten another lined up so that we could give some more of the fringe players a chance to impress. Theres a feel good factor right now and i reckon most of our best players will turn up for this friendly even if its meaningless game.

Well hes on 11 so far this season. I was referring to all competitions. I think its pretty realistic that shankland gets near to 25 and maybe more. I think were just under a third of the season gone and hes on 11 already. If he hits 25 or more then an english championship team will probably snap him up. Personally i reckon rangers should take a chance on him if he does. Hes a cheap option who would score goals against the lower 6 spl teams while they can rest a better striker for bigger games in europe or old firm games. The griffiths situation was slightly different in that he was only 23 i think when he hit 28 for hibs. Celtic probably felt there was plenty of potential for him to improve and then sell on.

Yeh? Stewart looked excellent before his injury and scored 27 goals in league 1 last season. Shanklands yet to have a decent season in the spl. Saying that hes scored 11 so far this season so he should hit 25-30 this season which is pretty good. Currently I would favour stewart over shankland because he was doing well in the championship which is probably slightly above the spl in terms of standard(excluding the old firm). Saying that if shankland has a brilliant season and scores more than 30 then he should definitely get another chance with scotland.

Shankland scores. Hes starting to hit a bit if form but with the emergence of stewart and conway it could be tricky for him to get into future squads. Wish the guy all the best but i doubt he gets many caps in the future.

Conways goal yesterday. I think thats 8 or 9 goals already this season. Lads only 20 but hes obviously good enough for championship level. Maybe a call up for the turkey game should be considered.

Yeh i aint much of a wordsmith and i definitely aint chripper. I actually didnt mind chripper, always a good laugh with that maniac giving his views and he wasnt always wrong with some of his points of view. Saying that it wouldnt surprise me if chripper is hiding under another profile/username in here.

His stats last season and this season are very impressive. Last season he had 14 goals and 19 assists in 30 games. Obviously hes got some serious potential.

Yeh maybe. A few apps in cup games this season then next season out on loan somewhere. Personally i would like to see him go out on loan in january. A championship or league1 side that will guarantee him games would be good for his development.
