  1. So you want them to disrupt proceedings in westminster? Will that bring about another indyref? If your wanting them to rebel in a serious manner then its not a political party you are wanting. I think what you really want/need is a scottish republican army rather than a political party. Armed struggle is not the snps(or any political partys) responsibility. The mps are not there to physically fight battles. They are effectively like political lawyers there to put forth the publics views and interests and implement change in how the country is run and our case break away from the uk. I dont know why you think they are there to physically fight your battles or rebel and disrupt things. As i asked before whats your solution here? Do we vote in alba? Would they have a better chance of getting indyref2 and would they 'kick off' and rebel if they dont get indyref2? You and the anti snp brigade need to start asking yourself these questions if you are serious about indy. You also have to ask yourself what you are willing to do in terms of civil disobedience or minor rebellion. If the scottish ppl wont rebel then expecting a bunch of politicians to do it for you is delusional to say the least. For me i really dont want to spend my life in prison so i wont sit and expect sturgeon or any other politicians to do something i am not willing to do myself.
  2. So do you want to hold a referendum without westminsters consent? Whats your solution here? What do you want the snp/sturgeon to do? They are a political party not a paramilitary. Its not up to sturgeon and the snp to physically revolt against the british establishment. The situation on here seems to be a bunch of ppl who are unwilling to physically revolt/rebel themselves looking to pin the blame on sturgeon/snp for not getting them a referendum. If westminster says no to indyref2 then you need ask yourself am i willing to physically kick off and revolt against westminster. If the answers no then why are you looking to sturgeon or the snp to do it for you? Your looking to the wrong ppl to fight your battles.
  3. Yes it would be based on the single issue of independence. It would effectively become a referendum in itself. You do realise ppl have died in order to obtain their countries freedom? Voting for a party you dislike is the easiest option anyone has ever had and yet the scots cant seem to do it.
  4. So you want to hold a referendum without westminsters consent? If you do then fair enough but it will be boycotted by unionists and deemed illegal by westminster. The result will be flawed due to this and wont be considered fair and legit. I know its easier for you to blame sturgeon but what would you like her to do? Shes not a military leader or a vigilante. Shes there to apply for a referendum and lead a political party. She cant physically force scots to rebel. If the scots wont vote on mass for indy parties(about 30 percent vote for snp )and wont cause civil disobedience then what is it you expect? Your looking to blame sturgeon and the snp rather than accept the scottish ppls short comings. It seems to be a common theme on here to blame sturgeon and the snp but if scots wont even vote for indy partys then why do you think we should be getting another referendum. If the ppl cant do the simplest of tasks of putting an x in a box then they dont deserve their country back. My personal preference is that the snp call another scottish election and run on the single issue of indyref2. The scottish ppl will then have the chance to put up or shut up. If the result returns close to half of electorate for indy partys then we reapply to the uk government for an indyref2. If they reject it then its civil disobedience time or we just do what you want and cowardly scapegoat a women who from the age of 16 has dedicated her life to pushing for independence for YOUR country. The choice is yours.
  5. Theres only been 1 scottish election since the brexit vote and that was in 2021 in which the snp had indyref2 in their manifesto. What possible way can you have an issue with the timeline of events. Did you expect the snp to have indyref2 in their manifesto in 2016, only 2 years after the first 1? Thats unrealistic to say the least. The uk general elections are a different kettle of fish. Scottish seats only make up small percentage and the snp have less seats now than in 2015 when the scots decided to vote on mass for the snp when it really didnt matter. Jesus wept is this the mindset of nationalist movement. The snp have pushed for a referendum at the earliest possible chance. Its been knocked back so now its over to the scottish ppl to keep voting snp and for them to keep applying for one or civil disobedience by the scottish ppl is the next step. Blaming sturgeon and the snp because scots dont have the balls to take their country back is pathetic. It seems to be a common theme on this thread(and the previous one). Stop trying to scapegoat ppl and take responsibility.
  6. The snp have done everything they possibly could. The anti snp brigade need to stop the false narrative that they have been promising indyref2 for years on end. I know ppl look for something or someone to blame but its annoying that ppl want to throw sturgeon under the bus because the scottish ppl wont take charge of their country.
  7. They applied for another referendum. You not been watching the news? It was denied by the supreme court. Most of those headlines are in line with the idea of a 2023 referendum and the 2021 manifesto. Look buddy i am guessing your a fully grown man. If you want to vent your anger at not getting indy ref 2 then focus it on the weakness of the scottish ppl rather than blaming a woman who has been campaigning for independence since she was 16. The snp havent been promising referendums. They have suggested that one takes place in 2023 and had it in their 2021 manifesto. There might be snp soundbites prior to 2018/19 of indyref 2 but suggesting they have been promising one for years on end is bullshit. The idea of having another referendum 4 or 5 years after the first one is madness and totally unrealistic.
  8. Eh? When have they promised a referendum and not delivered it? As i said countless times on here, the prospect of another referendum a few years after the first one was never going to happen and i cant ever remember the snp asking for one or suggesting one takes place. Brexit happened and 8 years have passed which has given the nationalist movement and the snp the opportunity to push for another referendum. No one in the snp has been promising countless referendums.
  9. Perpetual can kicking? There hasnt been time to kick the can, we are only 8 years on from the first indy ref. Did you expect the snp to announce another referendum 1 or 2 years after the first? What would you like them to do that they havent done already?
  10. Maybe bologna could take him. They seem to like our players and are doing a pretty decent job in developing them.
  11. I think you might get one or two who would be willing to turn to armed conflict but i doubt the ppl of scotland would back them enough for it to ever be a serious resistance in the same way the ira or pira were. Scotlands nationalist population is just too small and mentally weak to be fighting any kind of war against the uk. Maybe if the irish and scots were to combine forces then there might be an uprising to be taken seriously but i doubt the scottish side could ever match the irish ppls commitment. Ppl in scotland are just too comfortable to be resorting to widespread violence in a way the other commonwealth countries were forced to under the british empire. I also think its important to remember that the nationalist population in scotland is probably only 3m ppl at most. 3m up against more than 60m and the might of the british armed forces is a mismatch and i genuinely hope no hardline scots decide to take up arms as they will be lambs to the slaughter.
  12. I think this cost of living crisis is really starting to hit home with ppl. Winters pretty much here and scots(and english) cant pay their bills or heat their homes and its finally starting to dawn on everyone that maybe independence would be a better option than getting royally shafted by the tories. I was kind of expecting or hoping that their would be a shift in the polls due to this and maybe this is the start of it. Obviously have to see what future polls say as this might be an outlier or a one off. Its a case of being forced into indy rather than choosing it if the union continues to run for tory elites.
  13. Supreme court have probably helped the indy movement with that decision. Westminster will be under immense pressure to grant indyref2 especially if the polls start showing clear majoritys for it. The indy movement gets to ramp up the pressure with the argument that we are being held against our will. Ppl just have to make sure they vote mostly snp in the next couple elections although i doubt that happens. The country seems to be falling apart with all these strikes and the cost of living etc. Ppl will need someone tangible to blame and sturgeon and the snp could be it. Also ppl dont like the same government being in power for too long and may want change.
  14. Just look at the polling for the last year. Most have a slight lead for the union. In my opinion its probably near 50/50 which isnt great reading considering the mess the uks been in with tory leaders and the energy costs etc.
  15. Do we really want a referendum when theres a good chance we lose it anyway? Use this verdict to ramp up pressure on westminster to grant one in a few years time with the rhetoric that we are not in a voluntary union as proven today.
  16. Sounds like he could potentially be a big loss. Certainly would be if he goes to the epl and does well. Not much we can do about it now. Just hope that he doesnt become some superstar centre back.
  17. Watched the second half and that was pretty disappointing even though the commentators said we played better than the first. France are exceptional, the speed and skill they move the ball about was impressive and we looked well off the pace at times. We did have one or two good passages of play and managed to get a goal through a penalty but overall france looked a cut above us and i am guessing they are one of the best teams at that age group in the world. There is some promising players in the u19s and it will be good to see how they progress over the years. Adam and mebude in particular look like future stars but obviously they have a long way to go.
  18. I was going to watch this but its probably best i chose not to lol. Sounds like we are getting ripped apart.
  19. If he was that good he wouldnt be at stoke. Every player can play well occasionally, even our centre backs have good games every so often.
  20. If those two end up being stars then a 433 might be a good formation for the future. Both doak and mebude both seem to be similar to sterling and mane in that they score plenty goals. I can see england trying to get mebude. His pace and dribbling skills were jaw dropping at time.
  21. They were brilliant. Mebude looks like a special talent.
  22. Well that was seriously impressive to watch. Kazakhstan are obviously a poor team but scotland looked great, the passing and movement was top notch and every player is comfortable on the ball. Mebude, ure and adams were standouts. Mebude and adams have great dribbling skills and mebude is able to just ghost past players and has the ability to pick out a pass or cross as well. Only criticism is mebude should maybe be more selfish and go for goal more often rather than pass. Ure looks like an excellent finisher and hes got a strong build on him already. If he doesnt get gametime at rangers then a loan move to another spl team would be great. Watched a few youth games in the past and usually been underwhelmed but that was pleasing to watch. Shout out to the Kazakhstan goalkeeper who actually played ok considering the barrage of shots and attacks.
  23. Scores 4-2 to scotland which is mad considering how dominant scotland have been. Adams scores a lovely goal with link up with mebude.
  24. Scotland have been impressive and should be up by 4 or 5. Mebude and adams look really good and their dribbling and quick footwork is brilliant to watch. Obviously Kazakhstan are a poor team but the passing and movement from scotland has been excellent to watch.
  25. Scotland 1 nil up and playing well although Kazakhstan lost 7 nil to france so they are probsbly a shit side. Mebude went on a great run and showed brilliant skill for the first goal. Looks like he could be a future star.
