  1. Seems a bit fairer this time as if they have listened to the fans and criticism.
  2. Hi Deerus, sorry for the late request but I'm staying at the Victoria and would like one seat please if there are any left.
  3. We had booked France anyway before the Poland game and are still going as a family holiday. Just means we leave even earlier and go to Metz. Might even take in N.Ire v Poland in Nice as we are close enough. Spending time in France is never a hardship for us. Would wear my Scotland top too if we go to the game in Nice as I had a great time with the Poles in Warsaw.
  4. I'm also taking the Dublin route but going a wee bit earlier, getting to Dublin at 16.25 but coming back the same as everyone else. Anything happening in Dublin that night? Is it worthwhile even going into the city or is there a suitable pub near the airport?
  5. I'm staying in Hotel? Sol and would be interested in the Faro bus, on my tod.
  6. I'm surprised that so many posts are in favour of the format. I would have thought that normal working fans (I'm retired) would have been against this but it appears that most are for it. Double headers are a problem though and trying to catch both games and physically getting to the away leg and back can be difficult.
  7. I think he should be included. He had the whole country buzzing at the time. Looking at his playing career, he was pretty average, if you can call playing in the FA cup final average, but he still did fairly well for Scotland.
  8. Since June 1st, Watford have signed NINE players. Obviously their squad needed additions to stay in the Premier League but will that be at the expense of Anya? I know that Gord plays Championship players and is loyal but it's better to get game time. Comments?
  9. Thanks for the info (and the dance moves)
  10. Does the draw on Saturday just give the group members or does it also include the dates and times of the matches?
  11. The first 70 caps that Kenny Dalglish got were nowhere near as good as the last 30. He never seemed to play as well for Scotland as he did for Celtic or Liverpool. Not being a fan of either team, I only saw him on the box for them and mibbies they only showed the good bits on TV but I went to all the Scotland games and got to see 90 minutes. I think he got better with age for Scotland.
  12. Is it just me or is there anyone else fed up with blue shorts on the home kit. We are probably due a new kit for the next campaign and I for one would prefer to go back to the traditional white shorts. Comments guys?
  13. Many are saying that he's only got one foot Did he not score with his right against Ireland at Parkhead?
  14. Season tkt holders can buy 2 extra tkts after the sale to members who have not bought season tkts. From the SFA yesterday.
  15. I only paid a fiver for my pensioner's ticket!
  16. Are there any thoughts about a form of protest during the game? We don't generally boo during National Anthems and I certainly wouldn't, but a silent red card (A4 size) display could be one thought. Any other suggestions?
  17. I have access to 4 season tickets, (myself and the 3 weans, [all adult tickets]) and will order more tickets if someone wants them. I really enjoyed my trip to Warsaw and the Polish people were great, but was very surprised at the number of Poles at the Irish game and would certainly not want that at Hampden, we really need to try to prevent that.
  18. If this goes ahead, would it be a home or away match?
  19. Just as long as young players who move abroad are not forgotten, Must admit I haven't given Gauld much thought of late. and am glad that he's made his debut. I agree with above, I would play him against N Ireland.
  20. Did I miss something? Last I heard was that the SFA told us not to book until they knew that the game was definately going to be in Faro.
  21. Problem is that many folk I spoke to in both Poland and Germany were not going to the home games as a form of protest. The attendance at Ibrox proved that. Loyal fans are missing out on games like Fridays and like many others I think that we have a wee chance of doing something in the hardest group of the competition. I feel for them.
  22. He's looked a bit useful on the box but why did he lose his way when he left Dundee Utd?
  23. The Ireland game is no time to experiment with new full backs, that said Bardsley isn't exactly new and Strachan has already shown by playing Whittaker against Poland that he'll make changes if required so Hutton might not be a shoe in for right back.
  24. Must agree with all the comments about Warsaw, the Poles, stadium and the hospitality. Wonderful trip with 'Can you hear...' just one of the many, many memories.
