  1. That would do nicely. Marshall could grow a tache and ponytail for the occasion? Well it might be a bit late for the ponytail.
  2. The Netherlands game was a neutral venue but yeah there’s no reason we can’t beat Croatia at home never mind draw with them. It’s the final game so who knows what the situation will be by then. Croatia may already be through but they might not be too keen on winning the group due to their second round opponents or, less cynically, may just want to rest some players. We might already be through of course and we can rest some players and accidentally let a late goal in to eliminate England. We can but dream. 😂
  3. Interesting that you point out France being 3/10 when the others mentioned are all 7/10 or 8/10. I’m guessing you’re a glass half empty kind of guy? 😂 To be fair I’m only really basing it on games I’ve been to or have seen on telly. Any Rangers game I’ve been at or watched on telly where VAR has been in use there hasn’t really been any VAR controversies. Same with our playoffs last year. I don’t watch French football but I do watch some Spanish and German football and it seems to work OK. The EPL just rip the arse out of it with their lines trying to see if someone’s lips are offside. There shouldn’t be any of that nonsense at the Euros.
  4. True but it seems to work better in European leagues and European competitions. The EPL has taken VAR and made a complete mess of it.
  5. Only good thing is VAR should stop the ref getting conned so if we give away any penalties at least they should be genuine.
  6. I am wondering 2 things. 1. Why do they feel the need to fence off large areas? 2. What is that shadow of in the bottom picture? 🤔
  7. All of that means they probably won’t be lifting the trophy but it doesn’t mean we’ll win at Wembley unfortunately. If we play at our best we have a chance but if we beat the Czechs I’d happily take a draw at Wembley right now. Depending on how the game goes of course. If we ragdoll them like we did in 1999 and only come away with a draw I’ll be bitterly disappointed but if we are under pressure for long spells and take a point then it could be a very valuable one. We should get a better idea of our chances at Wembley after Sunday/Monday. If England struggle against Croatia and we get a morale boosting win on Monday all bets are off for Wembley.
  8. Turnbull is only our best bet if he’s on the pitch which is probably unlikely. I can remember McTominay taking a couple of free kicks (including the one yesterday) and none have been that good. I would probably prefer Robertson to take them but we need a left footer and right footer. Armstrong can hit a good free kick but again, will he be on the field?
  9. Mate, you’re a joke figure on here and you’ve ruined this board. If you are going to post pish to annoy people then I will comment on it from time to time. Don’t like it? I don’t care. No thanks.
  10. Get a life ffs. You’re certainly afflicted with something.
  11. And yet you think we’ll draw with Croatia?
  12. Good point. We should all take one in and poke the straw in at a pre-determined time. It could go down in history as the Capri Sun Revolt.
  13. Yes but I wouldn’t give Branson my money. I prefer to give mine to Rupert Murdoch. I certainly wouldn’t record an England friendly to watch an England team I think is very poor and watch the whole match. I’ve got better things to do with my time. Like rearrange my sock drawer. To each his own though as they say.
  14. Yeah but a jobsworth steward/copper might have something to say if they see you sooking on your Capri Sun.
  15. You watched the whole England match? It was on at the same time as our game. You need to get out more.
  16. I’m not convinced a 5th Lyndon Dykes thread was required but yeah the English will tend to assume an EPL striker will start ahead of a championship one. Doesn’t really work like that when they are completely different types of striker. I suspect that Dykes will play up front with Christie rather than Adams next week. Or possibly Fraser if he’s fit enough.
  17. If he was definitely playing next Monday I think he’d probably have started yesterday. He certainly did his chances no harm yesterday but Clarke has such a boner for McGregor I can’t see him not starting.
  18. He also made more mistakes than O’Donnell. I strongly doubt Clarke will risk him next week.
  19. I wasn’t that impressed with Patterson tonight to be honest. Got into some good positions but was pretty wasteful. Not that he did badly or anything but I’m not sure if he is a “must start” against the Czechs and to be honest I don’t think he will.
  20. You can’t transfer tickets bought using access codes.
  21. I have seen Griffiths miss worse than any of the chances missed tonight. I’d rather we missed a boat load of chances tonight than against the Czechs. Hopefully the misses tonight will mean the strikers sharpen up in training over the next week.
  22. I don’t think so. There are teams that have never been to tournaments at all. We have had some major slices of luck to help us qualify in the past. We often greet about being unlucky but pretty much every elimination we have suffered has been our own fault.
