  1. Most people who have had 2 vaccinations will be over 50. There are lots of people on here that are younger than that. Not that taking a lateral flow test is much of a hassle.
  2. Some people seem determined just to treat it like a party and an excuse to go down to London to get pished. This would be fine under normal circumstances but not when Covid is still an issue. All they are doing is making it harder for people with tickets to get train tickets and seats in pubs if they want a pre-match pint.
  3. I think UEFA will probably send an email about it. They can’t expect people to rely on forums like this or checking their website for late updates like this. I don’t think they will let us into Hampden with unopened bottles but possibly Wembley although I’m pretty sure the food kiosks will be open in Wembley. At least we can still go to the games. That’s the main thing.
  4. Most people I should think even if it’s just out of curiosity. How many that test positive will be honest though?
  5. Well yes but say 100 people test positive next week and 50 declare it honestly and 50 lie. At least 50 people who have the virus will stay at home who would otherwise have traveled to London going to pubs and restaurants, travelling on public transport and going into a stadium with thousands of others. The food kiosk situation hasn’t been officially confirmed yet as far as I know.
  6. If it stops a good few people who have the virus from going then it will do some good surely?
  7. Fair point but it’s more the false positives that are a pain with people having to self isolate when they don’t have the virus. I’m sure that puts some people off. If everyone in the country was doing them twice per week then the Royal Mail (or whoever delivers them) would be ridiculously busy. Every little helps though I suppose.
  8. People (like me) who don’t work with the public (or close to anyone at the moment as I’m working from home) aren’t really encouraged to take them. Not to any great degree anyway. Nobody has ever suggested I take one. To be fair the lateral flow tests are so unreliable I’m not sure they are much of a benefit to anyone.
  9. The website also states further down that the tests are self administered so there’s no need to go to a test centre for a PCR test or anything more formal.
  10. I’m really struggling to see the reason behind this. If there was a fan zone round the stadium where you could get a beer or at least a soft drink or something I could see the point. We have been holding big matches at Hampden for decades without the need for fences surrounding the stadium. Do they have merchandise kiosks up inside the perimeter or something?
  11. That’s what I thought at first but it’s not as bad as I first feared. At least we don’t need to go to a test centre to get poked and prodded.
  12. Cool, cheers. Sounds easy enough then.
  13. The website was only updated today so presumably they will send an email out shortly? I hope they do as not everyone comes on here or checks the UEFA website for updates.
  14. 2m x 1.5m max size according to UEFA website.
  15. That’s why I was confused.
  16. It wasn’t confirmed when we bought our tickets. Looks like it was only confirmed today. You either need a negative lateral flow test or proof you have had 2 doses of the vaccine if your second dose was more than 2 weeks ago.
  17. Are you suggesting Gilmour is going to move from midfield to being a forward?
  18. Yes you will need a negative lateral flow test result to get in. Only applies to Wembley matches and not Hampden games.
  19. And they send you a text/email with the result on it?
  20. I have no idea. I just read it on the website where you order the tests. It’s a lateral flow test so you get the results straight away and don’t need to send anything away.
  21. You do the test yourself and upload the result yourself so it’s a bit of a waste of time and money since folk could just lie.
  22. Maximum size is 2m x 1.5m according to the ticket app.
  23. Depends on how much home advantage counts for in a 3/4 empty stadium. Can I be greedy and hope it won’t matter at Wembley but it will at Hampden? 😂 England aren’t exactly firing on all cylinders although they do have a way of grinding out results. I think we have a chance of getting something at Wembley if we beat the Czechs. We can play with freedom and confidence in London and get right in about them. If we lose on Monday then I think we will be very nervous and under too much pressure to perform well.
