I’m exercising some caution.

I’d love it if he went out on loan to a championship club for instance, starting banging the goals in and started to win full caps but I think we have to be realistic. As much as that’s a perfect situation for our national team and us as fans who’s to say that fits in with his plan. International football isn’t as much a draw now for some young players, particularly for players such as him who qualify through parentage or grandparentage.

When chances were going begging last night Jordan Rhodes came to mind.

More importantly, not a very good footballer.

I’d put Tierney alongside Souttar in a back 4, Mulgrew has been the weak link in the defence since McLeish took over. I’d also be inclined towards the 4-2-3-1 that Strachan used as it would allow Fraser to play in an advanced position.

Apparently he injured his knee in training with us.

Didn’t realise he’d been drafted in, wasn’t in the original squad obviously.👍

He never got a call up while he was at Hearts. His last call up and indeed when he made his debut was when he was at Blackburn for our Denmark/Czech friendlies.

Well deserved, I’m a big fan of Watt and he could be a massive asset to the national team but we’ve been here before. Hopefully he’s grown up now and maintains this form till our next international break at which point it’ll be hard to ignore him.

How do you set that up? Asking for a friend.

That’s a bit of a pisser, his Scotland career hasn’t really got going yet and I got the impression from Peter Grants interview that we were going to attempt to play to his strengths.

Got 90 mins up front. Moore has said that’s where he sees his future. Looks like he’ll be waiting for someone to get injured/lose form before he gets a chance.

Of course you weren’t demanding, I’ve just read numerous comments on various media over the last 24 hours though with people wanting him called up and probably haven’t seen him play since he left the jags. For what it’s worth I think Hanley is probably better than Hendry and Lindsay.

McArthur is a strange one, played at a decent level for years and other than popping up with a couple of goals has never looked comfortable at international level and for that reason has never been first choice. I’ll be surprised if he’s picked again.

Exactly, Mulgrew was an established international who strolled league one. While I’ve nothing against Liam Lindsay I wonder how many who are demanding he be called up have actually seen him play since he left Partick.

I’d get him in next squad if he keeps up current form, he’s still young enough despite the fact he seems to have been about forever.

Another goal for Tony Watt, get him in the squad.

First time I’ve had a proper look at McBurnie tonight, very raw and very ungainly but he’s got goals in him.

We can rule Souttar out I reckon, he’s in the U21 squad.

I’d like to see Rhodes back in the squad, he’s a decent option. Looked very low on confidence last couple of seasons but he’s had a good start this time round.
