  1. Clearly we have too many fans & TA groups who are scared to make their true opinions known in case they are scrutinized for it. Heaven forbid they were to lose their SSC membership This puts the last nail in the coffin for me. We are completely powerless to force change as every alley way we go down is snuffed out by those who could help us. Lets see what happens come March when the stadium is empty vs Slovenia. If that causes a knee jerk reaction from the SFA then happy days, if they don't attempt to make peace with the stay away fans then we have made the right decision by calling it a day.
  2. My mates seen it and hung around for a while until the paramedics turned up but left as the guy came round. Many other Scotland fans done the same so a pat on the back to all that did Apparently a steward went running for the paramedics then stopped mid way to give a bunch of fans directions which led to a barrel load of abuse from other nearby Scotland fans. The stupidity of some people amazes me They were keen to find out what happened after they left so any info would be appreciated
  3. For most its change at board level and to get rid of Strachan. I will still support the players also (well apart from a select few who are stealing their caps) but can no longer justify spending my hard earned money to watch them in the flesh. Its a pity as the players deserve our support but the SFA don't deserve our money for the privilege
  4. Exactly. He is too busy with his media work and smacking golf balls around the Algarve at our expense for that though
  5. its the current selection process that has us in this situation This is why alternatives are being suggested. Do you regularly watch Aberdeen and/or St Johnstone? Strachan's problem, along with many of our fans, is that they think we should play the 11 players who are playing at the highest level no matter on whether they are in form, play regularly for their club etc. Where has that mantra got us? ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE! Look at NI for example. They play their best 11 players based on who is in form at the moment and it was good enough for them to get to the euros! And lets face it on paper their team is worse than ours. On the park they are streets ahead!
  6. are you suggesting they don't deserve a chance and we stick with the current crop of sh!t centre backs who have left us down continuously with their errors?
  7. If you still think its worth your hard earned dosh & annual leave from work then you crack on I, like many others, have concluded that enough is enough and I would rather spend my cash elsewhere until the current regime changes
  8. That means paying money to get in... just to walk out again. I refuse to get them another penny until they see that change IS required. This could be an idea for all ST holders though?
  9. I should have wrote "force them to consider change" rather than force them to change. If those on here with the knowledge would be interested in leading I boycott that is something I would certainly back. They can put forward their ideas for change and provide back up to support their ideas which could be "yay" or "nae" 'd by the rest of us... Get the ball rolling with ideas of how best to approach it...
  10. Most fans want the same thing although we will all have different types of ideas and levels of knowledge about how to replace them and who to replace them with etc. The fact is our best chance of getting a reaction from the SFA is buy staying away in large numbers and forcing them to change things. Maybe ATAC could assist with the finer details us "average" fans don't know enough about. If their mindset followed ours maybe they could lead the boycott...(I have read on here the SFA aren't paying much attention to them these days?)
  11. I think the manager, board, Raegan & Doncaster have to go, I would start there. In terms of replacing them we all have different ideas. I would love to see guys like Kenny Dalglish, Sir Alex Ferguson, Graeme Sounness etc. get involved any some capacity but I don't think any of them would be interested and you can't really blame them...
  12. We all need to give ourselves a shake and consider if we should be as committed to the national team as we are/have been recently. We need to scrap this "Bonnie Scotland we'll support you ever more" idea we have and stop throwing our money at the SFA and getting nothing back. Get this boycott of the Slovenia game up and running and see what reaction it gets from the SFA - if panic sets in we will know it hasn't been a waste of time and MAYBE things might improve. If they don't care in the slightest and carry on as normal (happy because they have our membership & season ticket money) we will be able to confirm what we already knew and move on with our lives and spend our hard earned cash elsewhere. I simply refuse to spend my money watching the national team any more knowing its paying for the blazers to have a jolly at every away game and Strachans trips Portugal instead of scouting our next opponents
  13. Same! It would make me even more depressed than I am already knowing I have threw even more money away at that useless shower of sh!te
  14. I would recommend holding off on booking up. Once we get humped from Slovenia and England anyone who has booked already will be paying other fans to take their flights off them
  15. He's played plenty times in Europe for Aberdeen and been a regular for 10+ years. Definitely deserves a chance. If Grant "costs us a goal a game" Hanley can get in the team when he ain't even making the bench at Newcastle because Benitez can see how bad he is than why shouldn't Considine get a chance?
  16. You are correct. I meant Colin Meldrum
  17. Agreed! Hoping this boycott grows arms and legs and the attendance is <10K for Slovenia. On the back of that we should get a reaction from the SFA who will start to panic that they have lost the "bonnie Scotland we'll support you ever more" element of fans who have paid their expenses for years. If they continue as normal without any reaction we can say they DEFINITELY don't deserve our support and continue to stay away and save our hard earned cash for better things
  18. my thoughts on the situation also I left after the 3rd goal went in on Friday night and vowed not to go back under Strachan
  19. It is about time Considine got a run out for Scotland. He has been steady for Aberdeen for years, particularly under McInnes whom everyone thought would get rid of him from the off. He keeps things simple, almost never loses a header (I believe he is the tallest outfield player in the SPL?) and rarely gets overran even though he is slow. Strachan just isn't interested in trying new things or picking players from the north!!
  20. The Sussex Bar outside Leicester Square station had a good atmosphere on match day (or did for the few hours we were there). The young lad starting all the songs was brilliant
  21. So if your ticket had been given away to some random at the last minute after all the money you had forked out you would simply accept it, walk away and fight your case in a gentlemanly mannor on another day? Utter bullsh!t 99% of people would be angry (rightly so) and voice their opinions there and then. Totally agree on 1st part in bold. I would be furious and kick off with them as well no doubt! I think a slap on the wrist and verbal warning would cover it on this occasion.. remind her of her duties as well. To terminate the lads membership is astonishing, I would go to the papers about it.
  22. so they admit their mistake by handing out your ticket to someone else without said person showing ID you admit your mistake by acting inappropriately yet your membership has been cancelled and they carry on as normal.... seems fair! I aint saying they should lose their job since you lost your membership as that would be extreme but surely they should see sense, understand why you were angered and agree to let you off with a slap on the wrist on this occasion considering it was THEIR fault...
  23. I half expected a home game this week as well but delighted we aint playing. We are utter garbage and the fans don't deserve to be subjected to that level of sh!t any more. Strachan will be delighted also as he's off for a break in the Algarve whilst we all go back to our day jobs. There really is no justice in this world.
