run zurich marathon 2013 in kilt 4hours 17min run amsterdam 2014 in kilt 4hours 13min run london 2015 4hours 16min run edinburgh on sunday in shorts 3hours 52 min so much easier just sighned up for budapast marathon in october will be running in shorts

did the garioch half marathon today in 1 hour.50 - a lot harder than the inverness half, only a minute of difference. so happy next race London marathon looking for sub 4 but doubt it

Yes I would recommend it - a bit crowded at the start coming out of the stadium, and then some narrow patches, but good crowd, and certainly flat all the way! Scenery is pretty nice - apparently you run past a windmill - but my head must have been down as I never saw it!! Good buzz coming in to the stadium at the end. Good organisation. Next year is their 40th anniversary of the marathon - so might be extra special Panda if you're thinking of doing it. Now I'll have a few weeks off from training - before I start all over again, as got a ballot place in London next year.

Just back from Amsterdam marathon, legs and feet still a bit sore Time 4 13 - was hoping for 4 10 but last 8 mile was a killer My lad was running also - his time was 2 58 . He asked if I had been running backwards!!!

Off to Amsterdam tomorrow for marathon Hoping for time of 4 10 to 4 20

MacGregor Croatia: Nice pic of your match tickets there. Pity you didn't buy the two from me I was keeping for you all week. Could have sold them several times over - but had promised them to you and didn't want to let you down. Had been in touch regularly with you - and you said you definitely would take them. Got a text from you around lunchtime on Sunday saying you'd be at Strobels from 3pm - so we left the square early to go meet you. Gutted when we got there for you to say 'there was a slight problem'. You'd bought elsewhere. Not the way to the treat the TA.

We were on the cancelled ABZ-FRA flight tonight at 5.30 - just off the phone from Lufthansa 0371 9459747 - guy got us on KLM flights early tomorrow morning to Frankfurt via Amsterdam (no charge obviously). Hoping we can still use our rail tickets to Dortmund, although will have missed the one we booked for. Best of luck to anybody else.
