  1. Under the guise of catholicvism, armies have had stooshies with protestants and muslims, not sure i know off the top of my head any big stooshies between catholics and Jews, i not saying they didnt happen but, naw, im not aware specifically of any wars, battles. Maybe you could enlighten me? Your claim that there exists some catholic/jew card that glaswegian catholics are playing is, pish of the highest order, youve been asked to explain what this is and have failed to do so, asking questions instead of answering. You said youre pals post plenty pro catholic/anti jewish posts but havent provided any examples. Your premise that there inherently exists in glaswegian catholics some kind of anti semitism is drivel.
  2. I must be to expect any kind of intelligent answer from you. I asked for examples of the pro Catholic/anti Jewish things you claimed your Celtic supporting pals had been saying, of which you said there were plenty. Wasn't expecting their names and addresses tbh but I suspect you know that.
  3. Mmmm, so you're claiming that Catholics more than any other Christian sept have a problem with "the Jews"? Is this something Catholics are born with or have indoctrinated into them at secret anti Jewish meetings at the back of the pineapple? Ormonds a Catholic, wonder how he managed to overcome this phenomenon? Incidentally, why would the fact that Catholicism predates Protestantism have anything to do with it? Are you saying that Catholics have some genetic religious memory built into their system that makes them involuntarily froth at the mouth uncontrollably at the mention of Israel simply because their sept of Christianity is older than Protestantism? Also, are you mental?
  4. I'll give it one more try. Please explain what the Catholic/Jewish card is that is being played by Young neds? While you're at it, please give us a couple of examples of your Celtic supporting pals posts on social media which are pro Catholic/anti Jewish (of which you said you'd seen plenty). Thanks.
  5. What, more than any other Christian sept? Specifically, I'd love to know what the Catholic / Jewish card is that Ormond reckons young ned Celtic supporters are playing ( seeing as you've stuck your neb in, I'd have preferred Ormond to answer but as you've offered)
  6. 44. Now that I've answered your question how about answering mines?
  7. Deflect all you want, I'd just love a simple explanation of this pre programmed Catholic / Jew thing that's making all the "Young neds" in the Celtic support (let's assume they're catholics of course) wave Palestinian flags without obviously having a clue why other than that they're subconsciously playing the "Catholic/Jew card., because there's no way on earth that they're politically aware, eh?
  8. You're a Catholic? Cool, so do you have a beef with the Jews? Have you ever played the Catholic/Jew card on account of you being, well, a Catholic?
  9. Yup, it's a Christian/Judaism thing. Good stuff, you do see what m getting at then? I might not be the most attentive person in the pineapple but I've definitely never heard anyone tell me I'm supposed to have a beef with the jews because I'm a Catholic.
  10. Me too and a practising one at that, and given that I have no idea what you're talking about I think it's safe to assume this Catholic/Jew card you speak of doesn't exist. I'd love an example of a "pro Catholic/ anti jew" social media post. I've seen plenty of anti Zionist stuff however. Anyway, as you've seen plenty it shouldn't be too hard to give an example.
  11. Thanks but you're not getting the point. I'd like to know what this Catholic / jew thing is exactly. What you have described is not specific to Catholicism.
  12. Ffs, how hard can it be just to explain what you meant. You said "the history between the Catholics and the Jews", what are you on about exactly? Also, what is this " Catholic / Jew card" you speak of? Are you assuming Catholics out of all the Christian denominations have some kind of particular beef with Jews that other Christians don't have? (Are you from the Middle Ages?)
  13. Done. Now, what the feck are you talking about? What is this history between Catholics and Jews you speak of?

  15. To the zoomer who said that this is due to "the history between the Catholics and the Jews" , please explain yourself, what on ####in earth are you going on about?
  16. They were better than expected and it was seriously squeaky bum time when they got their 2nd. As for the flags debacle, I don't see anything wrong with it. The Israeli state sponsor a policy of apartheid, if anyone thinks that's a good thing then fair play to them. Waving a couple of flags is, I'm fairly sure not about to put a stop to the dreadful conditions the Palestinians face in Gaza and the West Bank but it does help to highlight their situation and know that some people think their treatment at the hands of the Israeli authorities and the IDF is disgraceful. Many of the protesters outside Celtic Park are involved personally in various pro Palestinian groups and indeed charities which try and help the plight of the Palestinians stuck in their ghettoes. I was at the game and no-one was slagging them off where I was sitting although some folk were worried about the club facing sanctions. Ironic given that uefa were using the game to promote their "fight racism" campaign. It's a complex situation with plenty of illogical hatred on both sides but there is no doubt in my mind that Israels treatment of the Palestinian people is worse than the treatment of black South Africans I during apartheid there.
  17. Aye Stevie, thats what shouldve happened, I think folk used tape or something to keep their seats up.
  18. Given that our capacity is 60000 then the 50000 seems reasonable to me, it was pretty full last night. Good first half, bog standard 2nd half, plenty of missed opportunities and a couple of mistakes, well it is Celtic. not much you can do against opposition like that, its just a potential banana skin so aye, everyone was pretty happy we had got through to the next round.
  19. Why isn't the op's thread option 3? You have to ask, does he think brexit isn't a cringeworthy ####up? Does he not think the behavior of some england fans in France with their pavement dancing and racist/islamophobic chanting a wee bit cringeworthy? What about losing to Iceland?
  20. Nobody, just nobody is fooled by your insincere keech. At least have the balls to give us the pro Union argument rather than a load of make believe pish.
  21. Its a pile of meaningless shite tbh. Some of his songs are decent, some are dodgy to say the least. Anyway, the award means literally nothing so why bother with it? Its just the establishments way of cosying up to folk by "recognising" them, well fair play to you if you feel better about those twats "recognising" you.
  22. Very probably you are right sir. anyway, like you i'm not wildly fussed about this but pretty sure just enough bothered to actually turn up to vote, probably.
  23. Unionists in the Scottish Parliament have been quick enough to say she is not doing enough or speaking up enough so damned if she does and damned if she doesnt. I wouldnt have thought being on a tv debate is the same thing but whatever.
  24. Indeed, folk complaining about unelected EU officials are laughable given that we have the House of Lords with such weighty intellectuals as Michelle Mone in it and lets not forget about the Saxe Coburg Gotha's.
  25. As wanky threads go, this is actually pretty interesting! I give the wife £150 a week for messages (family of 4), she usually spends a wee bit more.
