  1. Stop getting at the bigots, it's not their fault. It's the other folk who are "different" from them who are at fault for making the bigots aw bigoted nawrat.
  2. Tee hee, it doesnt cost any more money to send a wean to a Catholic School than it does to a non denom school, its all state funded through the tax payer and as far as im aware Catholics pay taxes.
  3. Catholics would still be catholics whether they were going to a non denom school or not. If catholic schooling was abolished i wonder what excuse for sectarian behaviour would be trotted out. Probably be the caffliks fault for being different.
  4. Of course not, mair alcohol is what i meant. Look at what happened when the jakeballs over indulged in Manchester.
  5. Kids in our street go to 6 different schools, 3 non denom, 2 local authority catholic and 1 private catholic school. Funnily enough the kids from the non denom school kids who go to different non denom schools dont hate each other nor do the catholic kids that go to different catholic schools hate each other, not to mention that the catholic kids get on fine with the non denom kids. My eldest sons best pal goes to a non denom school. They dont seem to realise they should hate each other the dafties. However, my main question to you, given that you think different schools are divisive is can you explain to me why kids in the same street going to different non denom schools should be any more or less divisive than kids in the same street going to a catholuc school and non denominational schools? Whats the difference there?
  6. Hey, Why don't we add alcohol to the mix? I'm sure that'll improve the situation.
  7. Oh dear, not this baws again. Please explain why The existence of Catholic schools make some Rangers fans sing sectarian songs? There's two boys in my sons class ( Catholic School) who support Rangers, explain that? It's a bit like saying that the existence of Catholics itself is the reason Catholics are to blame for some halfwits inexplicable hatred of them
  8. Ah ken! If folk are for it im not that fussed though I predict much spillage! anyway, i prefer illicit tonic drinking, its mair fun.
  9. Even were it allowed I wouldnt be interested. I can get a pint before and after the gemme in a bar in CP if i want. Practically speaking, the thought of having to queue for a warmish plastic pint of lager doesnt appeal not to mention the impractability of what to do with the feckin thing once ive sat on my seat. Ill stick to a Ribena bottle filled wi tonic thanks.
  10. I know what youre saying but Naw! At least we cant call his consistency into question.
  11. Great stuff last night, so glad I took both the weans who loved it (apart from Efe Ambrose's cameo clown feet appearance)

  15. Ach, I wis hoping Scunnered would have bit first on that! Naw, but the other 3 aye. (actually it was Brian donohoe not Ian Davidson, always getting those two mixed up) https://www.caat.org.uk/issues/influence/resources/2015-02-03.ads.dinner-parliamentarians.pdf
  16. Mags Curran, Ian Davidson, Gemma Doyle, Katy Clark. Mibbe Labour are eying up their next lucrative foreign excursion? http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/vince-cable-one-of-40-mps-on-guest-list-for-arms-dealers-dinner-in-london-10026302.html The British government's close ties to the arms industry was illustrated this week at a London banquet hosted by the UK's defence and security companies. There were 40 MPs on the guest list for a £250-a-head gathering at the Hilton hotel on Park Lane organised by trade organisation ADS, according to information provided by activist group Campaign Against Arms Trade (Caat). Business Secretary Vince Cable was the most high-profile attendee, and gave a speech at the event. A spokesperson said he was there to address some of the UK's major employers, and declined to comment further. The Independent has contacted other MPs reported to have been in attendance. Jeremy Vine, BBC Radio 2 host who will help to lead the organisation's general election coverage, has come under fire over his speech at the event, for which he received a five-figure fee, with Caat officially complaining that his appearance is "incompatible with the corporation's values". The BBC stated that Vine "is a freelance presenter and so can make personal appearances without speaking on behalf of the BBC". But Caat have also taken aim at Westminster, accusing politicians of appearing close to an industry it claims "profits from dictatorships which silence and suppress debate". READ MORE: JEREMY VINE CRITICISED OVER SPEECH AT ARMS DEALERS DINNER PRINCE CHARLES DOES NOT WANT THE UK SELLING ARMS IN THE MIDDLE EASTAndrew Smith from Caat said: "It's outrageous that the government actively supports and promotes this deadly trade. "The fact that arms dealers were swilling champagne with over 40 MPs is a disgrace and shows the extent of the arms trade's connections and political lobbying." Among the arms companies hosting MPs were Cobham, Raytheon, Thales, BAE Systems and MBDA. These companies have export and business interests in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Turkey, Israel, Taiwan and Bahrain. Read Caat's full list of MPs on the event's guest list.
