Financial Fair play makes it nigh on impossible for any club to compete with the big boys. Chelsea and Man City would not be able to do what they have done now. Some may diasgree with someone turning up and throwing a few billion at a football club but it does make life more interesting !!

Agreed, but spurs v arse , Liverpool v Everton, Newcastle v Sunderland, man city v man utd and the mix of all the other games makes it better in my opinion. If you think athletico will keep it up, feel free it has been and will be a two horse race. Barcelona and Real Madrid take the lions share of the tv money. They negotiate separately to the rest and the rest are ultimately fecked. Feel free to watch all liga, each to their own and all that. Greatest no, richest possibly but still considerably better than the SPL ;-) I'd still take the EPL over a two horse race like la liga any day of the week and whilst i think the bundeliga has it as number 1, that particular league is rapidly turning into a one horse race.

I never said atheists can't be arseholes, I am also aware that most suicide bombers tend to be Muslim. Like I said I try to hate as little as possible in this life of mine but what I do hate is bullies and personally I see most religions ultimately in that light. Yours included. You will tell people that unless they subscribe to what you believe they are going to hell. Correct me if I'm wrong but the three Muslims who were shot are in hell according to your belief ? An atheist that doesn't care about other folk is an arsehole just like a catholic or Muslim or Jew that doesn't care about other folk. The world is full of hypocritical arseholes, personally I believe they are concentrated in the major religions on the planet ;-) (and politicians)

I can't speak for all atheists and speaking as an agnostic I have no issue with people believing whatever they want. I dislike most organised religion but try to hate as little as possible but you don't tend to get atheists killing people and blowing themselves up because of their lack of a belief in a deity and I include all organised religions in that statement ( Jedi and pastafarian excepted)

Atheists don't hate religion they don't believe in a deity. In fact a committed atheist should value life above all else as presumably they believe when it's over it's over.

So a bloke who has no religion shoots someone because they have a religion ? doesnt make a lot of sense to me . According to the wife of the bloke that did it it wasnt anything to do with religion. Maybe just maybe he was a gun crazed loon. America seems to have more than their fair share !!

All true but the same could be said of many other leaders throughout history. He was of a time that is now alien to us and I don't doubt he was a hard that could make tough decisions that many would disagree with but I'm still feckin glad he was about when he was. Others will disagree and they have every right to, but to just dismiss him as a nasty bit of work is churlish in the extreme, IMHO ;-)

Don't see what the issue with using tear gas is ? I'd rather be tear gassed than shot at !! I don't know the ins and outs of the 51st being left behind but I doubt it was a deliberate act.

Try an use it in an offensive way,, a racial abuser :-) would call someone a Black xxxxxx but a coloured xxxxx !! I dont see it. It was just a word that was acceptable and now isnt, another that springs to mind would be half-caste which presumably was originally used for mixed caste indians and migrated across to mean people of mixed race not necessarily meant to be offensive, just words of their time.

As someone pointed out it might be out of favour but if you were looking to insult someone you certainly wouldnt call them "coloured" so it might be out of fashion but I doubt it was ever used in an offensive way
