  1. Sounds like the pained voiced of experience. ? I've had run ins with Ergonomes that Made my brain boil with their pedantry. I suppose they were just doing their job but they don't half enjoy being irritating.
  2. I doubt this had anything to do with it. It was probably just an idiot doing the design. You appear to think about things just a wee bit too much.
  3. Have you not been paying attention these last 3 years?Sevco is the company, not the club. It's not that hard to remember FFS! ?
  4. I won't be going to the Gibraltar game. I'm not paying £30 to see that standard of football when I can watch my kids team for nothing. Also not interested in the NI friendly as that'll be another turgid mince game. Utter waste of everyone's time and will help Strachan in no way whatsoever. With Poland and Germany to play we need much better opposition to prove anything. The SFA are doing their best to put everyone off following the team.
  5. I know what you're saying but it still depends on the context as essentially the term Hu.n is meant as an insult, although apparently orc has become the online insult of choice for Rangers fans recently. As an aside, I love the fact there's a shop at the Barras that sells Celtic gear called Timland. Took me by surprise the first time and nearly crashed the car.
  6. Totally agree. McLeish is a good manager and proved it at both Rangers and Scotland. He was also doing reasonably well over in Belgium last I checked.Villa is a poisoned chalice.
  7. I see what you're saying but I don't agree. There are other songs that aren't sectarian but are abusive that can obviously be classed as such. You're assuming that because it's non-sectarian it's difficult to class as abusive. That's simply not the case. As others have pointed out some sectarian songs dance a fine line so would be difficult to catch. I agree that you start with the obvious but that doesn't just mean sectarian.
  8. Now you've gone too far.I'm happy with kittens drowning but the puppies must live.
  9. No dilution or deflection. As I've said it don't think sectarianism is acceptable and I'd gladly have is stamped out (new job for McCulloch?) by enforcing the existing rules. All I'm saying is that when Hearts and Celtic fans threw bananas at Mark Walters I didn't hear any outcry from other teams fans, so whatever is done needs to apply to everyone for all forms of abuse. I don't think you can single out sectarian abuse as something special. Personally I'd shut Ibrox for the next home game because of the chanting at the OF game. Admittedly it's not as much of a punishment as it would have been a few years ago but it might give the current board the kick they need to wake up. Again I'm not sure even that would work as I have a feeling The Easdales may be quite tolerant of some of the singing, if you get my meaning.
  10. Perhaps the difference is geographical. All abuse bar Sectarian is pretty much universal and therefore has been addressed by both Westminster and Europe. The full force of the law has been applied. Has that been done for sectarianism? I don't think so. Is that because the local law is all that's lined up to eradicate it? I'm just thinking out loud so feel free to agree/disagree.
  11. That's pretty much my point. Abuse is abuse whatever angle it comes from. If you're the target then it's the worst kind to you.The problem is some posters think we should concentrate solely on sectarian abuse. It's probably the most common but it's no worse than racism or homophobia IMO.
  12. Why are you misquoting me?I've said several times on this thread that I'd be happy for the SFA or SPFL to grow a set. I did qualify it by saying that I'd expect their punishments to be fair across all forms of abuse though. What's your problem with that?
  13. I know you think sectarianism is unacceptable, you've said it nice and clearly. As have I and Ek_celt for that matter. The question is asked you was why you think sectarianism is worse than the other forms of abuse? You haven't answered this. You've just banged on about how we're part of the problem. Try answering the question asked.
  14. And still you can't read my posts. I don't need anything explained by you. I've already said that sectarianism is unacceptable several times now. You have ignored that because you don't have an argument as to why it is so much worse than other forms of abuse. I haven't ranked types of abuse merely listed some that sprang to mind. I'm pretty sure they are all the worst forms of abuse in you anesthesia target. Now, unless you can actually read and understand my posts, which is in serious doubt, you really need to stop posting. You're in danger of making yourself look completely ridiculous.
  15. Started what? You accuse me whataboutery but can't define the term and deliberately twist what I've said. You're either an idiot or just wanting an argument. If you have a serious point try making it instead of your wee kid posts.
  16. You still can't provide any explanation for your stance that sectarianism is worse than everything else.I don't understand your reference to racism unless you are completely missing the point here. So, as you seem to be either incredibly thick or deliberately obtuse here it is in simple terms. Sectarian abuse is bad, wrong and should be punished. Racism is just as bad. No worse and no better. Homophobia is just as bad. No worse and no better. Do you see the pattern yet?
  17. Fair enough, I'll leave the other poster to take you up on that. You are however assuming that Celtic supporters are upset but Aberdeen fans aren't. That maybe the case but I doubt it's as universal as you assume. Either term is pejorative and shouldnt be used. Obviously there are lots of other terms for other support which fall into this category. I'm just looking to understand why non-OF fans think sectarianism is worse than everything else? As I've said several times on this thread I'd shut Ibrox down to get rid of the bigots (although it might not be as effective just now!) but the punishments have to be fair and cover all.
  18. Of course Old Firm fans engage in the general abuse too. Nothing excuses that either. Other fans need to accept that they are responsible for abuse too. The poster on here who's been asking what the difference is between being called a Fenian and a sheepshagger still hasn't received anything like an answer. Abuse is abuse whether it's around religion or not. Why is sectarianism worse than other forms of abuse?
  19. Another one who hides behind a term rather than engage in a meaningful debate. Please define whataboutery? I would really like to know what I'm being accused of, especially as I'm so good at it!
