  2. From the looks of things the group discussed it and couldn't back it, particularly due to the open ended nature of the motion and the lack of exit strategy etc. The Labour shadow cabinet minister is a bit bizarre on this. Resigned from shadow cabinet and then abstained. Don't understand why she resigned to simply abstain.
  3. Ian Davidson voted against. That's almost reason to back the action...
  4. OFFICIAL STATEMENT IN REACTION TO FIFA's DECISION RELATING TO OUR FIFA APPLICATION TODAY: The Gibraltar FA is extremely disappointed the decision taken by Football’s World Governing Body, FIFA, at its Executive Committee Meeting this week, to reject our Membership Application on the grounds that Gibraltar is not an Independent Country. The decision was announced, this afternoon, at a Press Conference, following a meeting of the FIFA Executive Committee, by FIFA President Sepp Blatter. The Gibraltar Football Association is extremely disappointed that once again political issues are being allowed to interfere with and take precedence over sporting considerations. Unfortunately this is a decision that, at this stage, the Gibraltar FA expected and as a result, the Gibraltar FA is already nonetheless engaged in preparing its case for admission to FIFA with the Court of Arbitration for Sport, (CAS), in Lausanne Switzerland.
  5. Aye, keep us updated with how it goes. I can categorically state I will NOT be doing an Ultra or Iron Man type thing at any point in the future.
  6. According to something on the radio there was a motion. Signed only by Dave, Nick, Ed and Broon.
  7. Was he the one who wanted that hands across the border thing?
  8. Possibly also living in the part of the UK that the UK is actually run for might influence too I guess?
  9. Almost all (there is maybe one or two exceptions) of the folk I know who live outwith Scotland and were backing No live in London or the SE. Coincidence?
  10. Not read any of those but according to the nurse at my last review I am at the 'reversed' stage.
  11. Got a good ten miles in on Monday this week. Sunday sees the River Ness 10k which might be fun after the Ryder Cup on Saturday. And then on to Glasgow next week for the half. Hopefully I can sneak in with a time under 2 hours.
  12. I'm down Saturday. Train leaves Aberdeen at 4:46am I think.
  13. With Angus MacNeil retweeting this, I don't think the SNP will be backing this motion: Gerry Hassan @GerryHassan · 3h How many times has UK attacked #Iraq? 1916, 1941 & 2003 invasions & 1998 air strikes. #Iraqobsession
  14. What's with the person who was hoping for a No but disappointed that it was? How does that work exactly?
  15. If that's Turkish airlines they will sort out your overnight in Istanbul.
