Not Motherwell’s best performance, we’ve played better and lost this season, but good to get a win. Hopefully advance on Thursday and can get some sort of run going. I presume the 2nd fan test next Sunday at Pittodrie has been put on hold?
-
Maybe tried to leave a bit on him? Scott Brown has made a career out of that. I’ve only seen one angle, and my reaction was very much “is that it?”

Think it was a bit of a freak injury. At full speed there looks nothing in it. The witch hunt starting against Clancy and Edwards is uncalled for. Can completely understand him seeing an innocuous challenge without the benefit of replays and still pictures. At full speed looks a nothing incident. If we are going to start penalising players for consequences rather than the challenge itself it sets a dangerous precedent. Every injury resulting in a retrospective ban?

Hearing Morelos’ stitches have fallen out, Castore are to make a statement soon. 😜

Still photo looks bad, at full speed a complete nothing incident. Morelos very unlucky to receive a bit of a freak injury. Think the Dundee United boy would be harshly treated if he received any retrospective punishment for a challenge that would be a yellow at most.

In this case he’s actually right, it is the same team. 😜 -

If Aberdeen win, they play PSV Eindhoven, Sporting Lisbon or the winners of Honvéd and Malmo. Motherwell would get the winners of IFK v Copenhagen, Osijek v Basle, KF Laçi v Hapoel Beer Sheva, or Backa Topola v Steau Bucharest. 🤷♂️ -

Would be great if lightning struck twice. -

All 3 should progress, glad Motherwell avoided AIK Stockholm, but Coleraine took a decent scalp (Maribor) in the last round. Aberdeen probably got the toughest of the 3 available to them, rangers play a pub team. -
I see the only way to watch Celtics home games (legally) is to buy a season ticket. No PPV option for Celtic or Motherwell fans.

Which means Motherwell are seeded in the next round. Boooooom! 😂 Just to put in context how difficult it is to get to the group stages, if the majority of seeds make the play off round, AC Milan would be unseeded. AC Mi-fuckin’-lan unseeded. What chance have Motherwell or Aberdeen got. 😂 (I should be on commission, but this website is your diddy team European qualifying bible! https://kassiesa.net/uefa/seedel2020.html ) -

I watched a bit of the Glentoran game last week and both teams were awful, you’d see a better game on a public park. Yet I still have the fear. 😂 -
The Mighty Celtic...

If Celtic are looking for a Scott Brown replacement, they’re buying the wrong Motherwell player. -
Agree with that. If Kent is worth whatever they are saying this week, perhaps we could’ve got more. I know Turnbull (despite not being a fan) was pretty keen on the Celtic move for whatever reason and the club owe it to him not to hold him back given he’s signed new contracts to ensure we get a fee when he goes. I don’t know exactly how they come up with an acceptable fee, but I suppose the value of his existing contract would be a factor, hence why bigger clubs command bigger fees for players that are not necessarily any better. (Provides they have 18 months plus on their contract).

Hopefully make it 3 next Sunday! Motherwell been knocking the door, but struggling to break teams down. Dominating possession etc. Theoretically Celtic should play to our strengths as they’ll play their own game rather than trying to stop us... 😂 -
I think Big English clubs are willing to let a player go to Southampton or Hull to prove themselves and then pay the associated premium if they do. They can afford that luxury. Southampton (for example) probably operate in a similar way to Celtic but with the greater resources of EPL. They take the gamble on van dijk and the likes, and will win some lose some. Van Dijk strolled it up here, but I’ll happily admit I didn’t think his rise would be quite so dramatic, to probably being considered one of the best centre halves in the world currently.
