  1. Yeah, seems a very low number, but I suppose better to set a small target, to emphasise the seriousness of the situation.
  2. As an example, Austria have banned gatherings of more than 5 people. Within a couple of weeks, the whole UK will be on lockdown. Nearly every sport decided to stop, not just football. I don’t really know the exact reasons behind that, but I’d imagine that in the grand scheme of things, football isn’t that important. Unfortunately, the season being finished off was not a priority, in terms of what is happening just now.
  3. The virus was already spreading rapidly through football I think though? ‘50 people meeting in a stadium twice a week’ is a totally inaccurate description of how football operates. I think that very few people wanted football to continue behind closed doors. You are in a very small minority there.
  4. I don’t understand your point. You know that football isn’t just 22 people turning up on a Saturday and having a kick about outdoors? Full teams would have been wiped out within weeks. There’s no reason to put people’s families and other people at risk.
  5. The whole country is going to be in lockdown in a week or so. The fact that football took the decision to get there a bit earlier is really irrelevant. I think that some people in this thread are misunderstanding how quickly entire squads of players would have been ruled out. The whole thing would have been a farce. No way they could have continued playing, I can’t believe that there are people on here who don’t accept that. Cancelling it all was the only sensible/viable/possible decision.
  6. I’d be happy eating stuff bought from a supermarket, because there isn’t much alternative, and because a lot of it would have been produced before the outbreak, but I wouldn’t be going to a restaurant.
  7. You have to be on the wind up.
  8. I’m well aware of those (false) accusations. I was referring to this thread, where Farcity accused me of having conversations with myself. I’m wondering which account(s) they’re accusing me of being linked to. It’s a really strange accusation to make. Is that a common issue on here? Out of all the posts/conversations/debates/arguments/slanging matches that take place on here every day, what part of what I and someone else said made Farcity think ‘Hang on, that’s the same person logging out and in again, and having a ‘discussion’ with themself.’ A really odd conclusion to jump to, before we even get to how untrue it is!
  9. Yeah, given how thoroughly I’m washing my own hands before going near any food, I wouldn’t want to be eating food prepared by anyone I don’t know, for the foreseeable future.
  10. Answer me please. I promise you that I have had this one account for fifteen years on here, and no other accounts. I have no reason to have any other accounts. If you could explain why you think that, then I could maybe try and defend myself, but I promise you that you have got the wrong end of the stick. There are people debating on here every day, I’m really confused as to which account(s) you think I am aligned with, and why out of all the debates going on on this forum, something in one of my debates made you think ‘that’s one person ‘debating’ with themself, and pretending to be two different people.’ What on Earth made you come to that conclusion?
  11. Conversations with myself? Which other forum member are you accusing me of being? Based on what evidence? That’s a really strange thing to accuse someone of, unless you have some reasoning behind what you’re saying?
  12. Tiernwy ia exepnaive. I believe it’s Gaelic.
  13. That’s more to do with McBurnie being a striker, and we haven’t had a decent striker at a young age like that for a lot of years.
  14. You’re a bit obsessed about this old Coronavirus, phart.
  15. I’m always amazed at what people will post on Facebook/Twitter.
  16. And contestant number three. Where are you flying to and why are you still going?
  17. I’m not sure how easy/realistic that would be to achieve. There are plenty of people in society who only work with physical money, we are still several years away from a completely cashless society.
  18. And the same question to contestant number two...... Why are you still planning on traveling? Surely ‘at home’ is the only place to be at the moment?
  19. Why were they still thinking of traveling? That’s crazy.
  20. Who are you referring to, and how are we ‘strangely similar?’
  21. The country isn’t on lockdown - yet. There have been people in close proximity to each other all over the country today. Why are you choosing that one example to criticize? Like I said, that is one of the more meaningful gatherings of people.
  22. I’d assume that out of all the gatherings of people this evening, this one that is part of raising tens of millions for charity would probably be one of the more meaningful gatherings. Surely there are plenty more meaningless gatherings of people that you could have a go at? I’m sure they’re just following government advice in terms of public gatherings, in terms of numbers etc.
  23. Yeah, everything is the BBC’s fault, as usual. I don’t know the size of the live audience, but I wouldn’t have thought that it’s that big. I’m not sure why Coronavirus would lead to Sport Relief being cancelled?
