Was there as an eighteen year old who was just starting to go to Scotland games. I remember thinking the win was nothing special as it was only 1-0 and that I'd see plenty more victories over the old enemy, including a few times when we would absolutely gub them... Oh the naivete of youth.

If they do, and it was spotted in Hampden during the game, then surely a quick word with the nearest polis would be enough to get it back. What a GIRFUY to the little barstewards that would be.

Bear in mind that when calculating the best third place team, points gained against the bottom side are deducted if you're playing in a six-team group. So we could finish third, with more points than any other team in third, but still not qualify automatically. ie if we finish a point higher than Ukraine, but "lose" six points for beating Gibraltar twice, whereas they only lose four points because they had a victory and a draw against Luxembourg. There's so many variables that I think it's going to be almost impossible to work out the best third-placed side in advance.

No, it depends on how good the Russkie missile-operators are. I think a lot of us are going via Kiev so we're screwed if the war heats up. I wonder if we'd get a refund if the flights were cancelled because of the war?

Would they? At my age I could live the rest of my life off 500K, never mind getting it for ten years in succession. Getting five million would only mean I had more fancy cars in the garage. And you can only drive one at a time. Besides which, players make most of their living from their club contracts, not international appearances. If I had the choice I'd rather play IN England, but no amount of money would make me give up my Scottish nationality.

Staying in a hotel 100 yards from the ground. Went wandering round the main square last night.

The rumour on here was for us to be playing in Copenhagen. I know that because the hotel I reserved - and cancelled in March - phoned me up last night to ask where I was! Just as well I kept the cancellation email.
