  1. These are the occasions that ball players should be tested against physical sides, to prepare them for senior level football.
  2. It frustrates me, but horses for courses. Anya, Forrest and GMS should be played on the side that allows them to put a cross in from the bye line on account of their pace. Away from home, it's less important. The fact that we have such quick full backs helps with the inverted approach, but I do wonder if it's the old trap of coaches over complicating things.
  3. He picked a team to win u19 level and they duely did and fair play to those lads who will be good players. That doesn't mean to say those players with the ability to really kick on in a few years to come got a game. The u16 World Cup finalist squad was a team of cart horses and Sbragia's patter is a bit reminiscent of those times.
  4. Anya was wasted on the left with NI so deep. He always has to check back onto his right. Play him on the right and he's more likely to put a decent cross in.
  5. Ritchie was Ok, but zero pace. I'm not sure how Forsyth defends, but going forward he offered nothing.
  6. Couldn't agree more. Fletcher did very well last night.
  7. Someone should drop that on Sbragia's desk. That said, it's not about Haroer, it's the whole ethos.
  8. I hope Strachan doesn't try to back up Sbragia and in the process alienate Harper. This is like a horror movie from the 90s.
  9. ridiculous comments about a young player.
  10. Nothing, I just don't blow a gasket thinking about it unlike you plums.
  11. Now relax and have a wee lie down.
  12. Snodgrass, GMS and Gauld are good candidates.
  13. Not impressed with Steven Fletcher's super car and not impressed with Tony Watt applauding the referee for sending off an opponent. I look forward to the emergence of Jack Harper, who seems like a decent lad.
  14. I'm not a Rangers supporter - which helps when it comes to objectivity.
  15. It probably is more entertaining, but to not give the ball away at today's tempo of football requires great technique and a high level of fitness. Hollywood passes are a doddle, having the touch and balance to receive an ackward ball and pass to a team mate (just like Bannan can ;-)) is not so easy.
  16. the game is much faster now, yet 50 years ago players constantly gave the ball away. There were great players then but I don't think you can right off today's.
  17. Close call between Messi and Maradona. Messi more of a team player and a joy to watch but if you needed a goal with a minute to go, Maradona. He had power, acceleration and balance that was beyond belief - he couldn't be hacked because he barely touched the ground.
  18. Perhaps he's due some credit for honouring his contract when his employers were in a difficult situation? I seem to remember Islam Feruz was somewhat unpopular on here for showing a lack of loyalty to his employers and heading to the promised land. Double standards because of blind hatred.
