  1. Eh! Small countries like Latvia, Ireland have clout in the eu. Scotland has no clout whatsoever in the eu or even the UK. How much power does the UK retain being in the eu? I believe it’s around 95%. How much retained power does Scotland have in the UK? Around 6%. I’ll let you do the maths. Btw the UK leaving the eu would then open them up to world wide countries abusing them. I vaguely remember before the eec came about the USA imposing huge tariffs on UK goods overnight if the UK didn’t tow America’s line. Why do you think trump is so keen on brexit. Divide and conquer is his thinking.
  2. Yes, but what I said is that it is not the political union that’s creating the problem, it is the trading union, single market. The uk can easily walk away from the political union, it’s the single market they can’t walk away from.
  3. It’s not the political union that’s the problem, more the trading union. Westminter wants, needs access to the single market, but out of the eu. Can’t have it both ways Ever heard of the velvet divorce? if there’s a will there’s a way.
  4. As I said he’ll fall into line under a new tory leader.
  5. I’ve never heard the tories in Scotland saying Scotland taking back control of of waters. it’s always been just ‘taking back control of our waters.’ in reality they’re saying Westminster taking control of Scotland’s fishing waters.
  6. Ross Thompson is playing to the [fishermen’s] gallery. His seat is up in fishing communities is it not? He’ll fall into line after the next tory leader is chosen.
  7. Maybe some people like the smell of farts? I’m mainly thinking of sparks here. 😂
  8. Call centre employees with degrees should have used their brains before venturing on their particular choice of degrees. Maybe they wouldn’t have been stuck in a call centre.
  9. You forgot getting the noisiest rooms on the platform and [sometimes] crap monotonous food. Then there’s all the courses you have to pay for and the continuous testing. Apart from that you’re spot on. 👍🏻 Posted from offshore.
  10. I’ve always said that the brexit vote was for England to take back control. https://mobile.twitter.com/Dr_PhilippaW/status/1034408905252765696/video/1
  11. You could walk the 500 miles there and back. 😂 I’ll get my coat again 🙄
  12. You can bus it there, if you want, and Taxi it back. Bridge of don is not that far by taxi, but too far to walk.
  13. Ah I see. 😡 Going with what you say maybe he’s aggrieved because his march was cancelled due to rerouting, or maybe he’s just bored.
  14. I’m surprised that you didn’t already know that is how Scotland is perceived by the UK establishment, plus most of the south of England. Mundell said exactly that in 2014. Google it. The establishment only let you think Scotland is a separate country.
  15. Is it free? Is it an App, if so which one? Is all about sports?
  16. Boris does not want to take the blame for this mess, he’s waiting.
  17. Boris is waiting in the wings for all the mess, a mess he helped create, to be finalised. May will get the blame, be booted out, get a peerage for being the fall person. Then Boris will pounce and say it wasn’t his fault. Job done. They need to get rid of Corbyn now, he’s now a liability. If they did they’d be soaring in the OPs.
  18. Probably add more pressure for a second referendum. http://www.thenational.scot/news/16414257.more-than-100-leave-backing-constituencies-now-support-remain/
  19. Or just about to buy a house that’s desperately needed 😩
  20. It seems to be working now, but I had to clear all cookies in settings before it worked. Thanks.
