Nope, they haven’t taken out the backstop, the withdrawal is being voted on tomorrow. It’s the political statement that’s being delayed. Confused.com -

Yes, but it looks as though they’ve taken out the backstop part for the time being to get the other part through. Some are calling it Theresa May withdrawal bill part 2.5. -

May is only putting half of her bill through tomorrow, the withdrawal part. The backstop part will come at a later date. Confused? I’m very much so. -

The SNP have been trying to get special status for Scotland, like Northern Ireland is basically being offered, since the brexit vote was announced. -

See above. I’m sure you’ll agree that I am entitled to my opinion too. 😀 -

Believe it or not the Westminster government is in a panic too. It’s all of Westminster’s making, they initially insisted on the backstop, now they want to change it once the eu agreed to it. Maybe the Buchans can help your friends out hampden. -

It kind of doesn’t sound right when you get the feeling that Corbyn has been forced into this decision. -
The wife told me to go out and get some of those pills that’ll get me an erection. I come back and gave her a packet of slimming pills. She’s still no speaking. 😂

Jeremy Corbyn - fecked?

Of course you’re entitled to your opinion, but the perceived judgement is that it was. Ukip took about 4,000.000 votes at the last GE and you can bet your bottom dollar that most of those votes would have been natural tory votes. -

I think you know, as well as everyone else, that it is the extreme right wing, ukip in disguise, that’s driving a no deal brexit. Its okay for the multi millionaires in the tory party to shuffle their cash overseas. What about us plebs! to answer your question: yes and we are talking about within the tory right wing government. -

Hence where we are today. We had a discussion a good few months back on both parties splitting and a new middle ground party emerging. Exactly what is happening now. -

By not facing down the extreme right wing of the tory party. There’s estimated around 70 no deal brexiteers, you could say the ukip wing, in the tory party and without getting into what the voters voted for, Im of the opinion that a lot of leave voters didn’t exactly know what they were letting themselves into with the eu. David Cameron caved into the extreme right wing in his party just to try and save his party, effectively stopping ukip splitting the tory vote. -

I don’t think the UK government is ‘extreme right wing’ what they’re doing is pandering to the extreme right wing. Agree that Corbyn will never unite the Labour Party. -

Alan’s fear is increasing. So much wrong with his post about this scaremongering poster, but what struck me is “giving powers away including farming and fishing.” Alan’s quiet happy for Westminster to control over 90% of our powers, but not the eu having less than 10%. Of course he voted for a political party that gave away control of our fishing and farming over 50 years ago. I wonder how many times he voted to maintain this? immigration? Most immigrants want to stay in England and even with brexit England can’t stop immigration. I could go on about his and the posters blazing hypocrisy. -

Don’t get the ones that record your speed as the police have a record of your speed if you’re ever stopped. Halfords have a good selection and they fit it for about £30 front and rear. Go speak to them. -

My problem is that there is more of them coming now and we’ll never be able to persuade enough of them to vote YES. I remember about 20 years ago, while I was working offshore, I was having a conversation with a scouser on this very subject and he was aghast at my statement that people from other parts of the UK shouldn’t get a vote on a Scottish referendum for at least 5 years of actually staying in Scotland. Seems I was correct in my fears. Its something akin to Russians moving into the satellite states of the ussr and upsetting the ethnicity of that particular country, thus never giving them full independence. -

I fear we are getting that now with English people moving up to Scotland to get away from all the bad things down south, like high crime rates, influx of immigrants, NHS, as well as coming here for the more social friendly policies we have. I’m hearing a lot of English accents nowadays. I was speaking to an English lady yesterday who moved up here from bury st Edmund area and she said that she loves it here the people are so much friendlier, etc. etc. Without getting into a long winded comment, from the conversation we had, I got the feeling that she voted no in our referendum. Now that’s what I fear.
