  1. I think anyone who wants a home end ticket should get one if they are on the ball. It looks like the Cameroon tickets have been on sale for a while and not sold out so I would expect it to be the same. Only problem is if they will accept payment from non French credit cards.
  2. Yeah you are probably right.
  3. Doubt we will have many more than 500 travelling for this one.
  4. No. I was lucky enough to go to both strip launches.
  5. The last time the membership was available to the public for at least 6 months before it sold out. I imagine it is probably roughly the same stage as the same time two years ago. Everyone's circumstances are different and the membership is worth more to some people that others. For me it pays for itself. Season ticket discount, loads of u21 free tickets, 2 free home tops, women international tickets, free NI ticket, invites to Q&As, quiz and stip launches. I accept that a lot of people aren't bothered with U21 or women games or the SSC events but I am so for me it is good value.
  6. The friendly date is definately after the England game (for us)- qualifiers Friday, Sat and Sun with friendlies Thu, Mon Tue. As we are playing on the Friday we wouldnt play a friendly the day before. I think it is very unlikely we will play a friendly after the England game, however, I am expecting a game before the Malta game in September (or last day in August).
  7. I don't have a problem with Scottish immigrants buying tickets that are left. Although doubt it will be possible until quite close to kick off.
  8. If it is 1400 sold then that's good for an away friendly in March. I would think it's highly likely that it will go to zero points as we very rarely sell out away allocations.
  9. The problem you might have is the sales period will be over by the time you are able to buy new memberships.
  10. It is not relevant for Euro draws just WC draws. The next time it will be used is for the WC play offs.
  11. I imagine the main reason for these games is the money we make from them will more than pay for the training camp in Malta. We were in high demand for games and would have been able to demand a decent fee. There is no income coming from qualifying for the finals so you might find it was the SFA board who had more of a say in this than the manager.
  12. I asked the same question earlier and no one could provide any links. I don't believe he has ever said anything like that. I would be very surprised if we played 3 end of season games.
  13. Can you point me to where Strachan said that?
  14. I think we will sell more than 1500 tickets.
  15. For all friendly games there will be fees paid, whether it be flights/hotels/tv deals or even a match fee. Scotland are probably the team most in demand out of all the non qualified teams due to us being the only non qualified British team and other teams wanting to prepare for a British team by playing us. Also with the rule about only being able to play 1 non qualified team (now changed to 2) in the months of May and June then the 24 qualified teams are very limited in picking friendly opponents of decent standard. As such we are able to ask for more than we normally would.
  16. Did they? When did they say they will play 3 games?
  17. I guess it's a bit of both. There was a rule that only allowed qualified teams to play a maximum of one other quailified team in May/June (this was changed to 2 games v qualified teams last week). With most teams wanting to play at least 2 or 3 pre tournament games then the better of the non qualified teams Norway (now have 3 games confirmed for May/June v Iceland, Belgium and Portugal), Bosnia and Herzegovina (playing Spain and in the Kirin Cup), Denmark (in the Kirin Cup, Bulgaria (in the Kirin Cup), the Netherlands (playing Ireland and Poland), Serbia and Scotland were always going to be popular friendly opponents.
  18. I am sure everyone who wants one will get one. The Czech's won't get a big crowd for a March friendly. Scotland away games are very rarely over subscribed.
  19. I agree with this. Of course it is frustrating when we hear rumours and want to book flights etc. But as you say I get the impression they want to announce both games together.Compared to previous years we have announced friendlies with a bit more notice than normal. A lot of countries announce games as and when they are confirmed but it isn't good for fans. Iceland for example before Christmas confirmed they are playing Greece away on the 2nd March date then yesterday (a month later) announced they are playing Denmark away in the first March date. For a fan wanting to go to both games that would be a nightmare.
  20. The format isn't confirmed yet but it will be two matches for each team. I imagine it will be the winners v each other and the losers v each other.
  21. The Dutch already have 2 confirmed games (v Ireland and Poland, there is Norway too (again have 2 confirmed games v Iceland and Belgium), you could add Greece (rumored to be playing Germany) and Serbia as the top teams who never qualified.
  22. Yes both those statements are correct. Qualified teams can only play a maximum of 1 other qualified team. With most teams looking to play at least 2 or 3 games it means the better of the teams who never qualified like the Netherlands, Norway, Serbia, BiH, Denmark and Scotland will be highly sought after. As you say we are the only country from the UK and Ireland not to qualify so that adds even more to the appeal to play us. The Belgium manager was desperate to play is but the Belgium FA were not prepared to pay our asking fee. It was the Belgium manager who first said that Scotland was one of the most sought after counties to play.
  23. They don't. There is no minimum requirement for away fans for WC qualifiers any more.
