    sorry - i only got round to asking on Friday - told me the same - saying not much chance of tickets being handed back - although i still think its possible some trave agencies have tickets in hand for like say a day package (last december we picked up a returned ticket for my friend but was around 17th december i think ) yeh - we were looking to book restaurant for couple hours as well and they all wanted to sell you a 5 course type meal etc etc Would I guess thats Baltezars you have booked ?

I always bring up the time, my mother tried to hit me with sweeping brush - again didnt help at time i was laughing - she is only about 5 foot 2 - reminds of the time she took the sulk and drove off to her mothers (circa 78) cos us kids and my dad wouldnt let her watch the Sound of Music on TV - cant remember what we wanted to watch
  11. 1 of my friends taught english in japan for 1 years - told the Japanese the scots drink theri pints in a oner - had all these guys being sick/pissed oot heads due to drinking their beers in a single gulp :-)
  12. South Africa is like Uk of 60/70's - folk all still drink drive here - some raging i must have been breath tested 5-6 times in UK - always considered 1st beer had worn off by driving time - ie had 2 beers over course of 9pm-1am never registered amber (well once i think)

As a kid I used to have to listen on radio to european games, and sometimes wait on the news to see the scores (sometimes the feckers didnt give you the scores so had to wait on newspapers ) there was a sense of excitement waiting for the draws to come out and see who you were playing TV has screwed all this now

  19. dont feel my age - 44 living in Cape Town and girl friend has yet to hit 30 - she complains about me wanting to go out as much only thing about getting older is you obviously get more senior and have more responsibility in your job so end up working longer hours etc

    I dont think its easy enough - but some of the local travel companies block book i think , plus there is also returns my friend was here with work last December and we rocked up and got a return ticket at the reception at departrue point - all though at that poimnt the big ferry was out of action - why not just book online now ? weather is nice today
