  1. They aren't fine sides though are they? They were good results for Aberdeen because by comparison they are around or above Aberdeen's usual level, it doesn't make them world beaters though.
  2. What was the point of the SPFL forming again? Because since they started it feels like nothing has changed at all either.
  3. I'm guessing the SFA don't have a law in place or did back then to punish this properly, this is how much of a joke they are. Title stripping seems appropriate, for that period definitely seems proportionate. Maybe if their fans showed a bit more humility and didn't try to laud the most successful team and most titles etc, people wouldn't find this solution so fitting.
  4. Come on man, the results you mentioned are hardly great, if anything it undermines your argument that you hold decent results against such meagre opposition in high regard. The standard of the game here in the last 15 or so years are deteriorated rapidly, and suggesting this isn't taking the piss out of the game here, its stating a fact. The game here is a mess.
  5. It's no surprise the irony of your original post was probably lost on you.
  6. Posting something like that makes you as big a twat as the people singing the song
  7. There are actually people that think the red on Rangers' socks symbolises Feinian blood so this type of bedwetting over posters and colours of boots is hardly surprising.
  8. See Linfield won 1-0 last night, slightly increasing the chance of facing Celtic in the next round, thought it would've been more of a formality.
  9. Dumfries to Inverness and Elgin to Berwick are longer surely, off the top of my head.
  10. I was looking for more the detail on the specific deal to be honest, like it seems fair game to say Rangers new deal is shite but I'm not sure it's compared to anything
  11. How does it compare to others? I've never seen info of others out on here so would be interesting to make comparison.
  12. The straw clutching on here by Parklife is absolutely pathetic mind, although not entirely unexpected. Its hard to paint vastly better terms and the ability to get out of the deal in year as anything other than positive, but fair play for trying.
  13. You described Sunderland as a yoyo club, they were 10 years in the Premier League prior to relegation. As for doing nothing, they are one of England's more successful clubs, granted that came mostly in the 1890's and 1900's, I do accept that most Sky fan boys that believe football was invented in 1992 won't see that as terribly relevant.
  14. As previously stated the reason he turned Sunderland down as they are in the middle of a takeover and they may want their own man in eventually. Even in their current financial state Sunderland would be able to offer him more money and more of a transfer budget, but it's all relative. Having said that, he will have worked this situation to get assurances and more cash at Aberdeen.
  15. The wage and transfer kitty was hearsay, I'd imagine it wouldn't be too far from the truth, a wage increase at least. Sunderland are over £150m in debt and apparently in the middle of a potential takeover, (the potential party, offered to buy an English club last year and couldn't provide proof of funds.) Sunderland will sell all of their assets this summer and reinsvest little back in the squad so I can see the point of it not being too appealing.
  16. I heard that Mcinnes has doubled his wage at Aberdeen and verbally agreed a transfer kitty too, not too shabby. Not too surprised he's seemingly turned Sunderland as they are a basket case and have no money.
  17. With Scotland choosing further to the right and the rest of the UK going further left, I hope we get a referendum before we are dragged into a socialist state against our will.
  18. I still think there's a good chance that might happen. Livingston away on July 12th too.
  19. When was the last time a player joined Rangers and improved as a player?
  20. The odds have shortened significantly on Ryan Giggs taking the Sunderland job. Not a forgone conclusion that Mcinnes would go there like I earlier thought.
