  1. If Sevco lose, then I'm going to predict carnage, however, should Sevco win, then I'm going to predict carnage.
  2. Anyway, has to be said... TREMENDOUS achievement by Sevco to get to their first European Final after only 10 years of existence.
  3. If it's a new club (and it is) then wouldn't it be their first European trophy?
  4. In what way are paper mâché and plastic models in a museum proof that said creatures ever existed?
  5. 'Dinosaur fossils' are presented only as evidence (and not proof of what they actually are).
  6. Like... hmmm... The Big Bang? Evolution? Dinosaurs? Gravity? The curvature of the earth? The spinning 'globe'? Satellites? Men landing on the moon? Please show me the 'tests'. 😊 You see, Ally, this is EXACTLY what I'm talking about. You believe and accept these things although zero proof exists. You believe what you do by 'faith' (and won't admit it) while I, on the other hand, start off by admitting I believe everything by faith.
  7. Deid. So, in Toronto, at a concert in 2008, the Foo Fighters leave the stage so that Taylor Hawkins can do a drum solo. You'd expect them to return when he's done, but another 'band' shows up instead.
  8. If it has the word 'science' pertaining to it, then atheists/sheeple will believe it and accept it, and not question it, because that's the stance that so-called 'intelligent' folk take. Yeah, me too. 03 30 2022 (22, 11/11, 32, 33, 66, 322)
  9. "Hibs have also reacted, reiterating their disappointment and belief that despite trying to break both of Ross McCrorie's legs, Porteous had a chance to play the ball (if he actually had any idea where it was at the time)."
  10. Porteous given 4 games instead of 3 (for wasting the panel's time).
  11. "Hibs are still deciding whether to appeal against Porteous' red card for his challenge on Ross McCrorie." Aye, the lad was hard done by. 🤣
  12. Scottish Premiership: Which club will claim the final European places? By Nick McPheat & Andrew PetrieBBC Scotland With just two games left until the split, the race for the top six - and, perhaps more importantly, Europe - is more closely contested than ever. The title battle has been an Old Firm power struggle for some time now, while St Johnstone struck a significant blow in the race to avoid the drop between themselves and Dundee by winning on Saturday. As for the 'best-of-the-rest' third spot? Hearts, a healthy 14 points clear, look to have boxed that off already. But who will finish a place below the Tynecastle side in the league's final guaranteed European place - and how likely is fifth spot to be rewarded with qualification too? From Dundee United in fourth to Aberdeen in 10th, just four points separate seven sides. Here, BBC Scotland looks at why the league is so congested and who is best placed to pull away. Inconsistency key to seven-team cluster In the last 20 years, the narrowest margin between fourth and 10th at this stage has been eight points - in 2010-11. On average, the gap between those seven sides has been 16 points - this campaign's tally cuts that total by 12. A serious lack of consistency is a key factor. The competitive nature of this season's top flight, which Premiership managers have been keen to frequently point out, also plays a significant role. Teams that had struggled before Christmas suddenly found form, while those above them floundered. St Mirren went from 11 games without a victory to winning four out of five. Ross County, bottom the weekend before Christmas, have picked up 18 points since Boxing Day. David Martindale lost his first four games of the season and made the, considered bold, proclamation that he knew "for a fact" his Livingston side would not be relegated. They now sit two points from fourth place. Meanwhile, Hibernian and Aberdeen have recorded one league win each this calendar year, with Motherwell yet to find a league victory in 2022, with no wins in 11 attempts. And what of United, who currently lead the race in fourth? Their potentially pivotal late win at St Mirren on Saturday was their first away from Tannadice since October. Who has the toughest run-in? To have a chance of finishing fourth, you first need to make the top six. The last round of fixtures before the league splits come on 9 April, meaning that - barring an almighty collapse from Hearts - the race for fourth will be whittled down to three teams. Every club has two fixtures remaining before then, but trying to plot who might take what from those matches is a fraught business given the unpredictability of this season. So make your own mind up... Dundee Utd: Hibernian (A); Dundee (H) 2 POINTS Hibernian: Dundee Utd (H); Hearts (A) 1 POINT Livingston: St Johnstone (A); Motherwell (H) 3 POINTS Ross County: Hearts (H); Aberdeen (A) 0 POINTS (MAYBE 1 POINT V HEARTS) Motherwell: St Mirren (H); Livingston (A) 3 POINTS St Mirren: Motherwell (A); Rangers (H) 3 POINTS Aberdeen: Dundee (A); Ross County (H) 6 POINTS Potential prize for fifth place? The fight may well go down to the last kick of the campaign. But the way the Scottish Cup has unfolded means there is a greater chance fifth place in the Premiership will be rewarded with continental competition. Celtic and Rangers will be in the Champions League next season, so should the winner of their semi-final go on to claim the cup, Scotland's sole Europa League spot - in the play-off round - would be awarded to the team finishing third in the league. As a consequence, the teams in fourth and fifth would earn Europa Conference League football, at the third and second round of qualifying respectively. That would also come to pass if Hearts win the cup. In fact, the only way the fifth-placed finishers would not be in Europe is if Hibs beat Hearts in the other semi-final, win the cup and finish outside the top four. All clear? Good. Let the drama continue... ------------------------------------------------------------- Aberdeen (41), Dundee United (41), and Livingston (40) for top six. Then... St. Mirren 39 points Motherwell 39 points Hibernian 38 points Ross County 37/38 points
  13. Scott Brown's diving header v Sevco at Ayebrokes is our goal of the season (and holds the wee bonus of potentially costing them the League).

  15. To all the supporters of Aberdeen F.C, It would be remiss of me to not acknowledge the amazing reception you afforded me and my wife last weekend. To be honest it was quite humbling, and I really found it difficult to take it all in. But now, on reflection, I can say it was a fantastic occasion that brought back some wonderful memories of a golden period in all our lives. I loved my time at Aberdeen, a fantastic club from the Chairman Dick Donald, the directors Chris Anderson and Ian Donald along with a great staff in my wonderful P.A. Barbara Cook and our secretary Ian Taggart, through to the chefs Bella and Peggy and the pensioners who kept Pittodrie immaculate. On the football side, Teddy Scott was an amazing man who sacrificed his whole life to the club. My assistant manager when I first arrived was Pat Stanton, a brilliant right-hand man when we won my first league title in 1980. Pat was followed by the irrepressible Archie Knox, a man driven to succeed in everything I could possibly ask of him. The position was also held by Willie Garner, who did a fine job, and it was a pleasure to work with two fine professionals in Doctor Catto and our physiotherapist Roland Arnott. Our two youth coaches, Bobby Clark and Lenny Taylor, whose contribution ensured that Aberdeen developed a list of local players that will probably never be matched. A group of exceptional young men that included Cooper, Simpson, Hewitt, Black, Gunn, Watson, Mitchell, Falconer and Robertson. I must pay special praise to Bobby who is one of the finest men I have come across and a massive figure in the history of the football club. We also had two excellent scouts in Bobby Calder and Jim Carswell who gave long service to the club and delivered a lot of fine players to the club. Lastly, the players! It was great to see my captain Willie Miller, one of the best penalty box defenders of all time, to hear Gordon Strachan and Neil Simpson speak, and seeing Stuart Kennedy holding court with the players was something to behold! I loved meeting up with them all again. Everything I spoke about on the day gave us a foundation which made it easy for me to do my job. But, at the end of the day, that platform needed a support, and it would have been impossible for us to achieve what we did without your support. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you. Well done! Sir Alex Ferguson
  16. Gang Of Four show just got cancelled with less than 5 hours notice. ☹️ "Unforeseen emergency."
  17. Why don't they just publicly hang, draw and quarter him, and get it over with?
  18. Yes, I had referenced that earlier... (Just wasn't as thorough this time. Apologies.)
  19. Aye, those teams are now in a 4 game mini-league to make top six. Results are going to be huge.
  20. No , Aberdeen's 'stars' are for winning European trophies. A quick look at the records show Aberdeen with 2, Rangers 1872 with 1, and Sevco with none. It was actually Rangers 1872 that started the practice of putting stars on their jersey for lesser achievements. (Celtic, to your embarrassment, have it right.)
