  1. I might be talking cack but the vibes are that this is really close and Leave has a chance There has been a slight drift for remain on Betfair and the early cockyness that Remain has won has left the TV studios Also Dr Paul Monaghan MP ‏@_PaulMonaghan 2m2 minutes ago Latest indication of #EURef result in Highland: 53% IN - 47% OUT. Very close. Turnout appears reasonably high. #EUReferendum
  2. Several Tory MPs including Boris have signed a letter addressed to Cameron saying that he must stay on regardless of the result suggesting that the Boris as PM scarefest was just that
  3. Tony Calvin - betfair and horsey guru has said that 1.08 on Betfair means that it is no done deal He would also not be surprised if a very small amount of traders are responsible for 50% of traded volume on the referendum betting market
  4. Apart from my twitter feed which is full of SNP drones following Nicola most people i have talked to are voting Leave. I was really surprised at work with the amount that said they were voting leave My cousin who is in the fire brigade texted to say that most folk from his work were voting leave as was his wife and people she knew For it being odds on that Remain wins it would seem clear that the English are not voting how everyone expected It will be really interesting to see how Scotland votes as again i dont think that will go how everyone expected either Wonder what odds you would have got on Scotland voting Leave and England Remain ............
  5. Libby Brooks ‏@libby_brooks 13m13 minutes ago Scotland's chief returning officer Mary Pitkeithley just interviewed on BBC estimates turnout at 70-80% #EUref
  6. They have probably underestimated the "shite factor" in England as seen during the Scottish referendum for those odds to be drifting Either that or its fixed
  7. Judging by the comments to Nicola's Facebook and Twitter posts there are a lot of unhappy SNP members There was absolutely no need for the SNP to take such a prominent role in this referendum They could have simply said that they favoured a remain vote without letting their narcissism encourage them going on national debates By doing so they have most likely knived the chances of our own Independence in the back I too have been taken aback by the numbers of people i have spoke to that are saying they are voting Leave
  8. Nope As i said before it would need Cameron to resign and i dont think he will If he does then Boris has to stand in a Tory leadership contest with the party divided and no guarantee of victory. There are more Tory MPs voting remain than there are leave If however he did win that contest then imo there would most likely be a vote of no confidence in the Government which would have a good chance of passing and then a general election The Tories with Boris at the helm would then need to be elected by the people and have a majority I dont think he will for the reasons above. The Tories although divided will want to remain in power until the end of this term. Cameron has already said he wont be running for a third term If there is a brexit the same scenario that would have happened if Scotland became Independent would occur. The negotiating team will be the top politicians of which Cameron would be the head
  9. You are right If you have taken a flyer on any of those teams as outsiders to win it you would be feeling quite pleased
  10. Had a fiver double on Iceland and Ireland Ireland did what they had to do Doesnt matter a jot which line up Italy selected - they were no mugs Have to agree that we would not have replicated that imo
  11. We have http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/12607337.SCOTTISH_FOOTBALL_IN_CRISIS__Rinus_Michels_and_the_SFA_think_tank_have_made_recommendations_before/ The majority of the Scottish clubs are only interested in self preservation Everybody knows what needs to change Recommendations have been made in the past and simply put to the side
  12. Salivating when the bell rings ? I think you and Rossy should do a bit of research of how Greece got into such a mess. It wasnt all down to generations of political mismanagement http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/greek-debt-crisis-goldman-sachs-could-be-sued-for-helping-country-hide-debts-when-it-joined-euro-10381926.html Two years ago almost everyone on here was disgusted with the EU treatment of Greece but two days before the EU referendum it seems it can all be rewritten or justified ? It isnt the ordinary greek people who are responsible for the state their country is in but is they who must be punished and suffer by forcing decades of horrendous austerity on them so the EU project doesnt fail ? If thats not right wing i dont know what is http://www.thecommentator.com/article/6323/greece_continues_to_be_punished_by_the_eu
  13. Anything worthwhile to contribute or is personal abuse your only attribute ? And yes His post could have been taken from an extreme right wing handbook but maybe you cant see it ?
  14. A complete waste of money How much more research is required ? How many more reports, dossiers, think tanks ? Everyone knows what is wrong with the game in Scotland Lack of investment Mismanagement Self preservation Too many clubs Multiple organisations and dozens of committees on the gravy train Scottish culture Rewarding failure Extortionate prices No foresight Living in the past I could go on
  15. Greece was humiliated It's public assets were sold and the people impoverished The EU disregarded the wishes of the Greek people in not one but two general elections and then a referendum
  16. The best argument yet for leaving the EU ? http://www.vox.com/2016/6/21/11974600/brexit-eu-euro-disaster
  17. BBC Breaking News ‏@BBCBreaking 4m4 minutes ago Man arrested at Donald Trump rally trying to take policeman's gun says he wanted to kill candidate - court papers
  18. This is classic Remain scaremongering Cameron would have to resign Johnson would then have to stand in a Tory leadership contest with the party split down the middle Farage isnt even an MP There would probably be a vote of no confidence in the Government regardless of who gets the tory leadership which would have a good chance of passing Another General Election Would a Boris led Conservative party get elected never mind win a majority ? If he does its almost certain Scotland would have a second referendum and vote Yes
  19. Looks like the Russians have chucked it
  20. Russia has a population of 144 million and they are worse than us I convinced myself that in a must win game added to Russian physical superiority they would turn Wales over Dick
  21. Is it racist to not want the German banks to control Europe ? Is it racist to object to the way EU treated the Greeks ? Is it racist to object to the misery the EU project is bringing down on the people of Spain, Portugal and Italy etc ? Britain has very little manufacturing left and everything is tendered out abroad Is it racist to want your railways and energy companies to be owned by this country ?
  22. Negative Davey Cameron is a Europhile of the highest order He has no intention of leaving the EU and only offered a referendum because he thought they would be in a minority government again and not have to go through with it You will be able to tell by the campaigning this week of how they think it's going to go What surprised me is that Sturgeon is still putting herself at the forefront when she has already done her bit That suggests that there is no guarantee Remain has won - although i think it will and by quite a bit Davey Cameron on QT last night was an eye opener though - The Neville Chamberlain comparison was quality
