Last time we played in Prague the NHL opened there. Saw Boston Bruins v Phoenix Coyotes. Was decent, but would prefer to see a local game. Been lucky enough to see Milan Vipers and Olympic Ljubjana in big play off games when over for Scotland games. Two of the best atmospheres I've experienced.

New knock out format. I hope there's a 3rd place play off. Can just imagine us going and getting pumped in a semi and only getting one game instead of two Good to see the tournament back though. I'd love to go back. Bosnia also play Spain in Switzerland the same weekend as rumoured Italy game.

Sorry that aspect is right. They can play as many games as they want though. Not limited to 3.

Neutral venue was my worry given previous chat of a camp. Think they generally play in Olomouc if not in Prague which is a couple of hours away.

100%. It's the only way you can get tickets for an away game.

Do you have a list of March/May games so far?

I don't think Windsor will be ready in March and NI might even have two games lined up for then. Perhaps May, but might depend on any other good offers that come in, especially given teams can only play one other qualified team.

I thought England had said they weren't keen. Certainly wouldn't be surprised if we played in NI at some point over next year.

I don't see the competition any different to last campaign, albeit 2nd place this time would only get a play off. We're certainly capable of bettering them all, England aside. Consistency will be the key, not blowing it in games v Lithuania/Malta as well as obviously winning home games v Slovakia/Slovenia. Of note we start with Malta (a) and Lithuania (h). Slovakia (who I'd say are our biggest challenge for 2nd) start England (h) Slovenia (a). If they came out of those game with less than 3 points, anything for us in Slovakia would have them in a tough position right from the start.

Scandinavian teams always play in Jan and often in that region. Not sure a game against a small nation in Spain would help cover any costs of a weeks training camp, which is why I wouldn't be surprised if we played elsewhere.

There's always the possibility the game won't be where the camp is. Financially it may be better to have a week in Spain and then play a game in London where they'll get more in gate money. That's what happened with Brazil game, which was at the end of a week at La Manga.
