  1. I admit I got this one wrong. He might not play the full 90 but I was fully expecting them to play Kolasanic this match and Tierney at the weekend v Leicester. I thought Tierney would play one from two as Arsenal continued to "manage" him back to fitness but if he plays both then they are definitely at it. I really did think the league game was the more important and thats what he would start. And I was one who defended the decision in October as didn't think that was the right time to call him back up.
  2. I made same arguments as you for the last set of fixtures as he had hardly played back in early October. I felt it was right to leave him out. Not now though, he is playing for Arsenal, he should be in the squad. no excuses. If likes of Naismith are called up and deemed ready then should so KT.
  3. I think the general idea is that the person with the stamp licks it but ....well.....each to their own , it’s the 21st century.
  4. Plan D....from my 18 year old son. If one person can get a stamp you then lick it and press your stamped hand against someone else which "transfers" some of the stamp to the other persons hand. Gets underage mates into clubs apparently.
  5. Gave it 2.5 episodes. Grim as. Its like Sin City x Roger Rabbit. I laughed at one bit when he was in an ambulance. The rest of it was just pish.
  6. I was at Kasabian there in Nov 17 but can't remember them doing that. Not to say it didn't happen as had been out for a fair bit of the day.
  7. Saw them on 10th Anni of the album gig they did a few months back, in fact night of Scottish Cup final, in Dunfermline. Great gig. The bass player, who we have always called Bill Sergeant, is in a new band called Sunstinger. They played before the main gig, very good but not the jingly jangly pop of Sergeant. Would recommend The Space Between Us and Even When. Seen them a month ago in festival in Dunfermline too. A good listen.
  8. Cheers. I am ok as have standing tickets for Chemical Bros in November but others now wanting to go and can only get tickets. We do have the option of 3 of us with standing tickets going in and then 1 coming out with the 3 stubs and getting others in that way. Or do they do anything different like wristbands?
  9. I don't doubt Tiemey could play in a back 3 but its the lack of familiarity with the position which would worry me.
  10. Tierney hasn't played back 3 for Celtic. Hanley never played back 3 for Newcastle who only started playing that again the previous season to this one, after he had left. He also hardly played for Newcastle. Norwich don't play back 3.
  11. Thanks. I can't remember any at the gig I was at but I had had a few so not to say there wasn't. I think with a full crowd and folk nipping in and out for the toilet or drinks then it must be a little bit hard to control.
  12. Quick question for those who have been to the Hydro a few times. What checks do they have in place to stop someone with a seating ticket going in the standing area? I have been to one gig there and can't remember any checks on entrance to the standing area.
  13. A decent percentage of the EPL played a back 3 at that point. Matteo played as part of a back 3 at Liverpool alongside Babb, Carragher and Staunton. Bjornebye and Heggem tended to be wing backs. Matteo sometimes played wing back. Boyd was in a back 3 at Celtic alongside likes of Stubbs, Mjallby and Rieper. Mahe and McNamara were the wing backs. He played wing back for Scotland due to Hendry, Weir, Calderwood, Dailly and Elliot all being more natural centre backs. Hendry still played in a 4 at Blackburn alongside Henchoz I believe. But Calderwood was in a 3 at Spurs.
  14. Liverpool went 442 against Man Utd second half. Sky commented on it during the game and it was also discussed on last nights MNF.
  15. Sure it was said that he was having a small op to clear up an issue. That's going to become more and more the norm when players get the chance to have 10 day breaks mid-season.
  16. I would start Christie every game for Celtic and Scotland. He a player, much like Armstong who unfortunately hasn't been playing much of late, who runs at defences and breaks the lines teams set up. Opponents don't like that sort of player. As for the "not disciplined enough"......30 league games for Celtic, 2 yellows, 1 red. The red obviously stuck in someone's head a bit too much.
  17. It’s been so long since we have had some of that sort that we wouldn’t know how to react with a top class player in our side! Cant even think who our last stand out player that we missed when they weren’t in the side was?
  18. I would say Messi and Ronaldo obviously. I am sure Wales are a far different side when Bale is in it. Robbie Keane was a huge influence and threat for ROI, the amount of games he popped up in with a vital goal. Zlatan with Sweden was also very important for them. I am sure there are plenty more.
  19. Neither am I. I maybe expect a bit more in terms of his actual performance but LB is probably not the easiest position to grab the game by the scruff of the neck.
  20. Maybe its due to the general malaise around the team but I can't think of one genuine inspirational leader in our squad.
  21. Robertson won't replicate his Liverpool form for Scotland. With them he plays for a high quality team who dominate games and who attack a lot. He has the freedom to get forward as often as he can. A lot of their game is based on getting their full backs forward. He also has VVD inside him to cover when he goes forward. Scotland is almost the opposite to Liverpool, we don't dominate, we don't attack a lot, we don't have the cover for him and he has to defend a lot more himself, something which isn't the best part of his game. The captaincy is a different issue. He probably got it like Fletcher did, due to no other obvious candidates and playing for the highest profile club. Given how hard a time we are having, and despite what I say above, its still a very hard ask to drop him from the starting line up. Do we think he could play as a holding midfield player??
  22. I agree, the loss of a goal destroys this team as a unit nowadays. I just think most of our available defenders are much of a muchness, no better or worse than each other by any notable degree. I also think bar Ryan Jack, who hasn't even been properly tested at this level, that we have a real defensive ball winning midfield player. When you have a below average defence and no one in front of them to try and shield or protect them you are always going to lose goals. And thats back to your point, when we lose goals we fall to bits.
