Tartanaccie
Off down south next weekend for a wedding, so going to Redcar Races on Friday on the way down. I enjoy a day at the races, but don't really know one end of a horse from the other, so,if any of you guys on here who are keen race goers could send any tips my way before Friday, I'd be much obliged! Charlie Endell
Will have a butcher's - my best tips though are to visit the Lobster (Sam Smith's pub opposite the cricket ground) and the working men's club in the town centre. Great town - possibly the friendliest people you'll meet anywhere.

Tartanaccie
Sorry to take so long to get back, but phone packed in at Redcar, and I've been at a wedding in Yorkshire since. Don't know what happened to Merhoob, but that's racing. I managed one other winner through the technical selecting of the rider with the saltire race jacket, romped home at 9-1! TBF I had had a bit of success backing him (David Allan) before. All in all a pleasant day out at a nice wee course. Thanks Charlie Endell for your efforts! Charlie Endell
Good work - I'd be well chuffed to get a 9/1 winner these days. It was a bloody tough card - must've been a good day for the bookies! It is a nice wee course - I'd definitely like a return visit. Tartanaccie
The bloke on Racing UK remarked at lunchtime that it was going to be a very difficult day to find a winner at Redcar, and as you rightly point out, he wasn't wrong! "You never see a poor bookie" etc etc!
