  1. I don’t know where they are in establishing a link between heading a football in that era and dementia but it seems an obvious correlation to make? Anyway very sad to lose a legend like that at just 70, no age at all these days 😣
  2. Aah, didn’t spot it 👍
  3. Sadly passed today. RIP. I’ll always remember him for that towering header vs England in the old home internationals. To be honest I was a bit surprised no one else had mentioned his passing given the career he had.
  4. When he has had proper money to spend he did just fine. There was undoubted interference later on from Lawwell but that shouldn’t be a factor this time, in fact, I’d imagine that formed part of the discussion. You are right to be cautious about the signings, I’ve known little of any of ours lately but most of them haven’t done too badly. 👍
  5. His chances of a top level EPL job have probably gone forever, so maybe the European stage Celtic will provide is preferable to scrapping it out in the bottom half of the EPL or the Championship. As I said in an earlier post who knows how his mind works. Let’s be honest though, most Rangers fans will be dreading his return.
  6. Haha! I offered to meet him last Thursday or Friday but he patched me as well the wee fecker lol. 😂
  7. For sure I would have preferred a more progressive appointment. With the budget available domestic dominance should be assured so Europe is definitely where he will be judged for me. Even if he can’t break through this imaginary glass ceiling though I don’t get where you are seeing potential disaster for the club or the manager.
  8. Barring some late hitch or other, it looks like the perma tanned, Turkey teethed snake charmer is on the way back. Can’t say I’m too thrilled. Oh well, at least with a reputed £30m transfer kitty he should be able to blow the huns into orbit for however long he decides to stick around this time. What’s more doubtful is if he can make us any more competitive on the European stage.
  9. He’s on record as far back as 2019 saying he would ‘absolutely return to Celtic if the opportunity came.’ Maybe he sees it as unfinished business or something, I dunno. Fuck knows how his mind works.
  10. I’m not keen. Stand by for lots of toe curling interviews if he gets it. I’d prefer someone who would continue the path we’ve been on like Knutsen or Marsh who would work well with the players we have. There’s no doubt BR did a good job for us last time and could do again, he’ll certainly have a big budget to work with. A lot of fans won’t be happy but they would soon get over it after a few wins. In many ways him or Moyes are the lazy appointments but the board won’t give a fuck about the optics. I’d be surprised if Moyes was in the frame though. He was the preferred candidate before Rodgers until he pissed off Dermot by making too many demands and I doubt that’s been forgotten. Anyway, I’m not convinced he’ll be leaving West Ham just yet. If it is Brendan he’ll have to win a lot of the fans over but I’m sure the smarmy fecker will manage it and as I have said all of the ‘itk’ people are convinced it’s a done deal.
  11. Literally all the alleged ‘in the know’ people are saying the same. Ange is off and Brendan will replace him.
  12. Word is he’s hiding in the Hampden showers as we speak 😂 I guess we’ll all find out next week 🤞🏻
  13. That’s not as wild a suggestion as you might think. Rodgers left on good terms with the board if not the fans. He had a couple of big fall outs with Lawwell, not least over the botched pursuit of Castagne and the signing of Shved, but as far as I hear they had smoothed things over before he left. Whether they would want to work together again is another matter and as DS points out Rodgers still has some standing in epl circles. He’d definitely be in the frame I think. I’m not convinced Ange will go but he’ll definitely want to talk to Spurs and the club will have no choice but to let him. Hopefully Levy’s track record will be enough to put him off. If he goes, he’ll go with everyone’s best wishes as he has conducted himself properly as Ronny Deila did before him. Whoever is the Celtic manager in the summer will likely have the biggest budget any Celtic manager has ever had so I hope the board have their ducks in a row. If I was guessing, if Ange did go, I’d reckon we’d be going for another CGN recommendation rather than Brendan but you never know.
  14. Looks increasingly like the interest in Ange from Spurs is genuine. Could be one to watch next week after the Cup final. I hope there’s been some succession planning done in the boardroom for a change, it’s not like they haven’t had any warning. 🤔
  15. Ffs! 😂 Another rambling monologue! I can’t even be bothered reading it. You should get out and get some vitamin D in your face, lovely day out there 😎
  16. I think that about covers it other than to say I’m not that bothered what you are.
  17. Desperate stuff! 😂 I was at Hamilton v Airdrie 2nd leg as an interested fan. Were you there? I gave up my Celtic ticket to go. Clearly I’m a 17 year old with championship manager ideas 😂 The question remains if the Airdrie fan is more interested in hun finances or his own club? I think we all know the answer.
  18. Fair enough, I haven’t seen that before. Full blown insanity from the huns 🙈
  19. Sorry to see United go down but they can’t have any complaints, not good for the league though. The balance could be partially redressed if Thistle can see off the teuchters next week, so fingers crossed for that 🤞🏻 Jags fans must be reasonably confident the form they have been in. The funniest thing to happen this weekend was they Hibby cunts bawsing it again after being handed a golden opportunity. Absolutely hilarious! 😂
  20. It’s all done ‘behind closed doors’ but you know there were bids! 😂 You really are an oddball. Not a single post on Airdrie’s play off dramas and subsequent promotion. Instead you want to have an in depth discussion on the huns transfer policy, you’re fooling no one…. except maybe yourself!
  21. There’s never been a coin on the table for either Kent or Morelos! The huns sold the only saleable assets they had and now they are where they are.
  22. Yet again disgraceful scenes on and off the pitch in the Embra derby. i wonder when the Scottish Government will announce a summit to discuss the shocking behaviour that surrounds this fixture 🤔
  23. He deserved to get sent off m8. No idea what was up with him tonight, Hibby pen was fair as well. Bernabei is fuckin hopeless and we need a new goalkeeper in the summer were the biggest takes out of that. I think the manager will be as ruthless as he needs to be 👍
