  1. I called THG a while ago and they are aware its mostly scotland fans bung their tickets and confirmed kilts etc are fine.
  2. I see there is a young Scottish lad doing well in the MLS for Montreal and in the semis of the CONCACAF Champions League. SFA just published an interview with him. Have to be honest, ive never headd of him. Anyone know anything about him?
  3. The hospitality isn't an overestimate though as it has been confirmed by both companies.
  4. Thats what you said about the Gibraltar attendance whjen people were quoting 30k+ and you were wrong. I think washboarder will be about right except for the amount he has estmated for SFA sponsors. I have spoken to THG and Abbey and they have said its 99% Scotland fans in both. 501 and 502 are virtually all Scotland fans plus our official allocation. Plus I am running two buses and I know plenty who are travelling on that have had to buy tickets elsewhere in the ground so 10k+ is more than realistic.
  5. Ive got mine and wristbands already but bought them last tear. Dont panic. Plenty time.
  6. One look at how poor the team was that started against Brazil at France 98 was in terms of quality tells you all you need to know about how much Craig Brown overachieved when he was in charge. Unfortunately his comments backing Ricky Spragia in the Harper - Good enough for Real madrid but not good enough for Scotland debacle put him down in my estimation. GK 1 Jim Leighton RB 3 Tom Boyd CB 4 Colin Calderwood CB 5 Colin Hendry (c) LB 22 Christian Dailly 84' RM 14 Paul Lambert CM 8 Craig Burley LM 11 John Collins RF 7 Kevin Gallacher CF 9 Gordon Durie LF 10 Darren Jackson 25' 78' Substitutions: MF 17 Billy McKinlay 78' DF 6 Tosh McKinlay 84'
  7. I would imagine the Abbey tickets will have been predominantly purchased by Scotland fans.
  8. It was basically the Sevco songbook tonight. The Jimmy Saville song was just bizarre.
  9. 100 of us booked on the 11.30am Cairnryan to Belfast on the friday. Asked yesterday if there was any space for a few more foot passengers who were not travelling on our coaches and they said no chance as its rammed due to the football and pipe band championships.
  10. I remember when Jordan Rhodes was called up for the first time and he said the opposite. "I was born in England but I was brought up in Scotland and my siblings were born in Scotland so I have always felt Scottish."
  11. yes. and even in a season where he hasn't been as prolific he has still scored twice as many as any of our other strikers. you still haven't explained your reasons for your initial bizarre response?
  12. Care to elaborate on that or are you content just to come across as a bellend?
  13. The boy bags another two goals today. In Gord I Trust but he is so wrong in keeping this boy out of the squad. He is a pure goal machine and particularly against Gibraltar we could do with his eye for goal.
  14. I cant believe this nonsense thread has attracted over 40 replies.
  15. The obvious game to boycott was the England game. £50/£60 a ticket on a Tuesday night, 4 days after we had already shelled out a small fortune for the Ireland game. Our group didnt touch that game and its shame thousands of others did. If that attendance had been low the the SFA would have had to take notice as it would have been headline news across the whole of the UK. As it is, folk went anyway and if there is a low attendance against Gibraltar and Northern Ireland nobody will give a monkeys. I agree the pricing is waaaaaaaaaaaaay out of sync with fairness and value but I'll not miss a qualifier in a campaign where we have a genuine chance of qualifying. We had our chance to make a point and we knackered it. First game back at Hampden, 100% chance we will win and a very good chance we will see a cricket score of goals. I'll not miss that. Neither should you. Hoping for 45,000+, expecting somewhere between 30,000 and 35,000.
  16. Not that I'm bothered about the scran, as long as plenty time for pints I'm happy.
  17. When I spoke to them on Friday they said it wasn't a sit down meal but a finger buffet.
  18. We are getting a megabus from Glasgow at Midnight after the Poland game. Bus goes straight to Manchester Airport and we fly from there at 7am. No sure exactly how much these flights are but the price of 3 nights all inclusive in 4* hotel, return bus from Glasgow to Manchester, and the flights, come to £330 all in so they cant be bad.
  19. They are for a limited area controlled by a hospitality company called THG. Tickets are in the South Stand and give access to the Havelock Suite. When i called on friday to ask whether we could wear kilts (which as ive already stated in an earlier post, we ARE 100% allowed to wear kilts in this area),they said their were 22 tickets left. I know a few people who have bought since then. They said ut is almost all Tartan Army so its going to be like a second TA section.
  20. Our thoughts exactly so we bought 10. Staying in the biggest fleapit in dublin, all together in 1 dorm, then off to enjoy hospitality at the game
  21. I'm just off the phone to THG directly and they confirmed kilts are fine and majority of that area are going to be Scotland fans. She also said as well as free drink before the game and at half time we get an hour free bar after full time as well which I wasn't expecting.
