Georgia was an absolute killer of Scotland and that`s beyond doubt. But also both teams that was fighting for automatic qualification and finished below 2nd place- Ireland and Scotland lost games to the teams from the bottom 3 of the table, vs. Scotland and Georgia respectively. Top two teams managed not to lose to the teams from bottom 3 and that was the key to success also.

Lets be honest. NI, Wales, Iceland, Poland, Ireland or Ireland (if they qualify) will be the teams that everyone will want to have in the group. All of those teams most probably will finish at the group stage asking for new managers and "fresh blood" and all that crap you will have to go through now. Strachan is the guy that changed the mentality of Scotttish football team. You don`t look like teams from "isles" used to look for years and years. Such drasting change require time and maybe a bit easier group to encourage such turnovers in tactics and approach to games at the beginning. In my opinion it would be a bad decision to let him go instead of letting him finish his work. But disapointing campaign might be last for wee man i feel.
