  1. What part of Scotland are Russell Martin, James Morrison, Jordan Rhodes, Matt Ritchie, Phil Bardsley, Matt Gilks, George Boyd and Chris Martin from?
  2. I do love reading Scots discuss the Irish. You'd swear you never had a non Scot play for you and you'd swear you've made every major championship in the last 30 years.
  3. Biggest game in Irish domestic football this is. There'll be huge garda (Irish police) at this as there's usually a few handbags at it. There'll be a great atmosphere at it and the Bohs faithful will take care of you lot. Don't forget to hit Leo Burdocks for fish and chips beforehand!
  4. I think you'll be surprised. No doubt there'll be some blocks of Scots with Abbey Travel tickets but I don't think there'll be anywhere near 8,000 inside the ground.
  5. There will more than likely be a general sale but it won't be online
  6. Given that there will be no general sale I reckon we're probably looking at 5,500 Scots being inside Lansdowne Rd. We've around 250,000 Poles living in Ireland and tickets were on general sale and there was in region of 15,000 there on the night. All the talk in Ireland is about the Scottish fixture. The fans are turning up for their team.
  7. To the chap who said we're taking a greater focus on the England. You couldn't be further from truth. All the focus and talk among casual fans and regular match goers have been about the Scottish fixture. Very little interest in the England game.
  8. Tickets will not be going on general sale on ticketmaster.ie. Approx 47,000 tickets were put on sale for the home end via numerous channels and roughly 45,000 tickets have been sold so far. Season ticket holders, previous away trip travellers and domestic clubs will be given another option to buy. If any tickets remain unsold they'll be put on general sale in Spar (one of the FAI's sponsors). Those tickets will only be able to be bought in person. To reiterate. No tickets will be put on general sale online.
  9. Very odd statement. Dublin, Galway, Kerry and Cork are all totally different.
  10. Nice spot. Loads of good bars around the place and come match day the atmosphere will be electric in that area.
  11. Howth and Malahide are towns about 30 mins on the DART (our coastal commuter service) from the city centre and are cracking spots to head out and stay. You'll go from being in a city to this in less than 30 mins. Great nightlife in both spots.
  12. Welcome to Ireland. There's a jewellers down the road from me with a sign "Get your ears pierced while you wait"
  13. Let me buy you a beer. Just not some bar on Capel St ;-)
  14. Drunk or not your comments were inexcusable. If you're in Dublin next June i want to bring you around the place as the last three visits have been three too many. I'll show you why Dublin is a major tourist destination.
  15. An awful lot on ybig.ie encountered this. Thanfully I didn't
  16. Because I like Scotland and most Scottish people i've encountered have been quality with the exact same humour and outlook on life as us. That's why.
  17. Get yourself to Galway city mate. Best town in Ireland by a country mile. For me it's the real Ireland. 10 mins drive outside the city and you're in Connemara which has some unreal scenery and largely a Gaelic speaking region.
  18. Galway is a 2 hour drive or train from Dublin city centre. I fully recommend going there and perhaps renting a car and driving the Wild Atlantic Way route down to Kerry. Killarney and Dingle would be the towns to go to in Kerry. It's then around a 4 hour train journey back to Dublin
