  1. I would agree. I was very impressed with him vs. Slovakia and he now edges it over Robertson for me. He is a more complete LB than Robertson and with the advantage of being younger I think he will be the one playing most often for the foreseeable future.
  2. THIS Anyone who goes near Trafalgar Square on the Friday other than to pay their respects and leave is a complete idiot and is letting our nation down. This is simply not the day for hanging around, making a mess, putting fairy liquid in the fountains etc.
  3. Agreed! Tierney should start as he was excellent vs Slovakia
  4. word on the grapevine is Robbie McDermott is starting a firm to take on the English Hooligans. If all goes well vs. England he will continue it for the rest of the campaign and lead the firm to Russia 2018.
  5. My mate stayed in there after the Nigeria game and we ended up in the nightclub in the basement. Seems like a great spot if your only looking for the basics...
  6. you tried phoning the SSC? Some still left I believe...
  7. ah well I might be on the tele then
  8. 6 x £35.00 tickets purchased. I guess that will be the top tier which will be handy as I cant see the game being worth watching anyway!
  9. I left my Glengarry on the Flixbus from Bratislava Most SNP to Vienna Airport on Wednesday. I spoke to the bus company who say it wasn't handed over to the driver. If this somehow has made/makes it into the hands of a Scotsman still in Bratislava give me a shout. Don't worry I ain't holding out any hope of finding it. Some Austrian person is now kicking about with it on I bet
  10. I booed the ref at half time after waiting for the players to go down the tunnel. At full time I was giving all manner of hand signals and abusive language over towards Gordon Strachan who was sheepishly standing beside his dugout waiting for the players to go down the tunnel. I did spare a small clap for Griffiths, Tierney & Patterson when they came over towards our support, I thought that 3 gave 100%. No idea what I was thinking as clearly Strachan wouldn't of seen nor heard me from the technical area but seemed like a good idea at the time
  11. They've probably got a cheap deal to fly out over the weekend and went for it. Given the choice I would rather spend the weekend in Bratislava/Vienna than Scotland. Missing the home game is a small price to pay for that luxury I guess... (it is not something I would do but each to their own. I wouldn't knock anyone for it) I am sure they will find somewhere to watch it. Or I hope they do
  12. Yet your giving the fans who cant make the game tomorrow but can on Tuesday a hard time? They are going 1 out of 2 games the same as you are...
  13. Its definitely the refs fault If only his mistake was blowing the whistle with 5 mins to go then I would have been quids in and Scotland would have won 2-1
  14. I've watched it back now were debating and it looks like there is slight contact but I agree he does go down very easily. There is a player cutting off the angle to goal and Czechs have a few other players back defending. I wouldn't bet on Berra scoring from that angle or finding a successful pass if he stays on his feet. We would more chance scoring from from a penalty IMO
  15. The Czech player tries to nick the ball and you can see why Berra went down.. many strikers would do the same. Your asking a lot of Berra to either score from that angle or pick out a pass before he is tackled
  16. Those on less than 5 points who called up, got on the waiting list and were lucky enough to get a ticket I say fair play to them because it was the SSC who has allowed this to happen, the people benefiting are only taking advantage of the situation presented to them. Whether the ticket & point is 100% deserved or not depends on what side of the fence your on.... the person receiving the ticket will say deserved because they put their name forward and were given one from the SSC... those on 5 points who are still on the waiting list (or not allowed on the waiting list) will likely disagree. The only thing we can agree on here is it is the SSC who have caused this situation.
  17. I remember this game well. We were 2-1 up through goals from Kenny Miller and Darren Fletcher then Danny Wilson gave away a late penalty. Then in the dying seconds we should of had a penalty when Berra was fouled in the box! I had 2-1 Kenny Miller on at the bookies and was bouncing about the West Stand thinking I was quids in only for Wilson to spoil the party.
  18. No it doesn't but I never said it did. I'm just being honest... You see on here the amount of squabbling that goes on regarding the points system so not many would turn down the chance of an extra point whether it is deserved or not
  19. Agreed. He shouldn't of got the ticket in the first place but it is SSC who are at fault, not him. Allocations will be small for Lithuania and Slovenia next year so every point is of value right now if your around the middle mark. Let's be honest how many of the TA would be honest enough to hand back the ticket and refuse the point.....
  20. 46 EUR to see Right said Fred... I'll pass
  21. Completely unfair if 1 pointers are getting tickets from the waiting list before 5 pointers. How can the SSC justify that? I have a lot time for the SSC and they work they do as the majority of the time they do a good job. A lot of the stick they get can be harsh but when they pop up with things you can see why they get a hard time from the fans... they are doing themselves no favours if they are handing out tickets to 1 pointers before 5 pointers simply because a 1 pointer phoned up and got on the waiting list a few hours (I think the waiting list was only open for 1 day?) before a 5 pointer.
  22. Robertson has to play before Tierney for me as he has more experience and has played with the other defenders more often. I don't think Strachan would put in 2 "rookie" full backs as that would be a risk defensively. Patterson is in and needs to grab his chance with both hands. Tierney's time will come and I am sure it will be a battle for years to come between him and Robertson. Up front I would like to see Griffiths, especially with us playing at home, but resigned to the fact that Strachan will play Steven Fletcher.
