  1. 3 of us staying in Ealing which is 7 miles from both Wembley and Heathrow. Not the biggest fan of London so will be spending our time in Ealing or surrounding areas rather than travelling into the centre. Probably means a saving of £2.00 per pint as well so that's an added bonus
  2. my mate (ByronLoon1986 on here) stayed at the Clink78 hostel for the Nigeria game which isn't far from Kings Cross station. The rooms seemed nice and there was a nightclub in the basement which was open until 3-4am. This gave the rest of us (who were on the 1st flight back to Aberdeen the next morning) the chance to get a few beers somewhere until we had to go to the airport.
  3. You can only buy up to 04/06 at the moment so you cant book the return until tomorrow (providing you are using SCNF website?) No idea regarding how strict they are with delays etc.. I have given myself 3 hours to get from CDG --> GDN --> Paris Est for my train to Metz to be sure.
  4. today is 03/03 and you can book trains up to and including 03/06 so nice and easy... 04/03 - 04/06 05/03 - 05/06 06/03 - 06/06
  5. Dragonara Court, St Juliens Bay Friday - Monday
  6. 1740 from Paris Est to Metz Ville on the Friday for Byron TA
  7. ...this coming from the guy who hasn't bought a round since Archie Gemmill scored against Holland in 1978
  8. I remember the queue for the beer stand at HT being about 10 times the length of the queue for food & soft drinks We left 5 mins before HT to beat the queues and missed their equalizer. We then decided we would squeeze in a 2nd beer and ended up missing Scotland's 2nd goal!
  9. cheers for the info wanderer! Might get a slightly earlier train that I had planned and at least give the city a chance. If theres nothing that takes my fancy I will just head to the airport early doors
  10. There on the Monday before the 1510 flight to LCY. Am I best going direct from train station to airport and getting lunch & beers there? Or is it worth getting an earlier train, sampling a bit of Luxembourg then heading to airport in time for my flight?
  11. the half time rendition of Sweet Caroline from both sets of fans was magic. Dortmund is the best stadium I have visited so far as well. Zagreb was special for the result and Warsaw was very impressive (decent 1-0 win in the friendly, still gutted we didn't hold on for the win in the group game)
  12. ABZ - AMS (3h15) - MALTA 27/05 MALTA - AMS (5h20) - ABZ 30/05 Air France Racking up the Flying Blue Air Miles with Prague / Malta & Metz all booked with Air France/KLM
  13. I lasted about 3 days on the FB group and unfriended! I joined it just before the Ireland game in Dublin and the amount of drivel that was posted about travelling, tickets etc. was too much to handle so I had to delete it. Things are bad enough on here but that FB page is on another level!!!
  14. Haha! I was certain this was a bite so didnt reply... thanks for stepping in and confirming my thoughts DeeRus
  15. sick of what??? Not getting the chance to get a ticket for away games??? 8 out of the last 10 games have been open to all members...
  16. I am looking into the possibility of hiring a mini bus to take my group of 9 from Hampden after the Lithuania game to Manchester Airport in time for our Sunday morning flight to Bratislava. The best quote I have so far is £350.00 for a 16 seater luxury Mercedes Sprinter mini bus (with leather recliners might I add!!!!), the details are: 2300 leaving Asda (to allow traffic to clear and that way we can get a few beers at a nearby pub) 45 min driver break TBC 0415 (roughly) arrival Manchester Airport Divided by the 9 of us is just under £40.00 each but as there is plenty room we would be interested in selling the remaining seats. The price would be divided evenly between all passengers and I am happy to provide proof of payment should anyone require it. Let me know on here or PM me if interested. Cheers, Clarky
  17. seen this done before on occasion also. They tell you to come back just before the collection period ends and if there is any spare tickets they will sell them. That being said if your not an SSC member they have every right to refuse the sale so its no guarantee
  18. The same happened to someone I was travelling with in Belgium 2012. Tickets in the Scotland end were going for silly money outside the ground (100+ euros!!) and my mate was approached by a local who offered him a home end ticket for face value. He bought it and walked into the away end. Wasn't worth it in the end. 2-0 defeat where we didn't record a shot on target!
  19. train tickets go on sale around 90 days before. If you are quick you should get a decent deal for direct trains from Paris to Metz and back. I am Friday to Monday and thats my plan anyway! (although Friday is Paris to Metz and Monday is Metz to Luxembourg)
  20. Your best options are: 1) wait until tickets go on sale to 1 pointers and buy all 3 tickets together then you will be sat together (this should be safe enough as plenty tickets left) 2) buy 2 tickets tomorrow and then the 3rd ticket when they go on sale to 1 pointers. Once all 3 purchased contact the SSC and ask if they can put these 2 bookings together so the 3 of you are sat together. Generally they adhere to this as long as you give them plenty notice.
  21. They might send them out in 2 batches - 1st batch any day now for all members who renewed before "early bird" ended on 8th Feb and 2nd batch next month for all new members and late renewals. Failing that as said above it will likely be done in a winner next month...hopefully in time for Prague.
  22. We arrive at 1745 and staying in old town - any idea what time K.O will be and is the venue central? I go to watch the Aberdeen Lynx ice hockey team on occasion and it is always a good night.
  23. 3 purchased without any issues
  24. many people will only be doing 1 out of the Italy/France double header so as said above I can see this being open to all members. With it being early summer as well people will already have booked family holidays etc. around this time so may not manage the friendlies. I wouldn't have any worries about not getting a ticket for Czech/Italy/France games
