Speakers include - David Hayman, Isobel Lindsay (vice chair of CND), Johnny McNeil (veterans for Independence), Robin McAlpine (Director of common Weal), Roza Salih (VP diversity and advocacy at USAS & NUS Scotland International Students Officer), Chunky Mark (the gobby Taxi Driver). Denis curran (chairperson of Charity Loaves and Fishes). From their Facebook Page - The Hope Over Fear campaign will not shirk its responsibilities. On May 7th 2015 we have a unique opportunity in Scotland to wipe out the blue, yellow and red Tories in one fell swoop. We can electorally punish those who lined up with the billionaires and millionaires to lie, deceive and bully our nation into submission. We are not too small, too poor or too scared to move forward into a new and better world and by uniting the pro-Scotland and anti-Establishment vote in May 2015 we can realise our dreams. Bring the family and enjoy another great day out while listening to the speakers from all political backgrounds and on the importance of using your vote wisely at the general election. There will also be many amazingly talented artists and musicians for you to enjoy on the day. In the words of Gerry Cinnamon's inspiring anthem of our movement, "Hope Over Fear, Carpe Diem". Let’s seize the day in 2015.

Antidote, when has there ever been a whiff of trouble at any of these things? (rhetorical question, theres been none, heehaw). Im not worried about what the unionist press will try to do with this tbh. they are a law unto themselves and will do what they want anyway. Im not going to let my fear of what the unionist press say stop me from going to a pro Indy rally. Ill never give up on my dreams you see. Incidentally, whats to stop these mythical agent provocateurs from kidding on theyre SNP leafletters and causing bother on folks doorsteps, should we stop leafletting? etc, etc....

Im not sure I think its "great" Parklife, but I do think its apt and aspirational whilst being hugely tongue in cheek I would sincerely doubt that anyone but anyone who thought about coming would be put off by it in any way shape or form by this. I think people getting their knickers in a twist about it are far more deserving of your term.

Theyre a stuck record. -
Folks, being a one trick pony again but here are the details for the rally planned for Saturday 25th April in George Sq if ye want to come along and give it your support. The last one was amazing and very well attended and looks like its going to be no different this time around. Theres a couple of other things going on on the side like a march from Glasgow Green early on to Freedom Sq or a Bikers for Indy rally that will ride to the Sq. Plenty going on during the day and plenty of nearby pubs for refreshments during the rally. Hope you can make it. https://www.facebook.com/events/401561463337441/

Sure, and im well used to my heroes in the Lisbon lions being wheeled out to support the onion and Labour (Billy McNeill has consistent form in this). But you're right about not buying into it. -

I dont think it helped when the media had the ex Scotland rugby Internationals plastered in the papers and tv campaigning for a no vote outside Murrayfield so you'd have thought there may well have been some collusion with SRU on that. That was disappointing to say the least given that they ignored the YES voting Internationals. I just canny really get into it at the moment and I do want tae spew when I hear FOS being sung at Murrayfield but maybe its partly also because we are so gash at the moment,
