  1. As I said on the match thread I felt it was a difficult day for the front 2. Any striker will find it difficult when the opposition has 2 banks of 4 playing no more than 40 yards from their own goal for the majority of a game. It's also worth noting that neither Naismith or Fletcher will play against a team that packs their defences like that at club level. The Georgians tried to stifle the game but credit to the front two, they never gave up and worked their socks off. My only real complaint of them both is that their finishing should have been better. they were always looking for the ball though and both worked the channels very well. I also wouldn't have minded seeing Fletcher being replaced with 20 minutes to go. A bit of freshness up there, especially with a more direct striker may have seen us get a second. I really do feel that we are over critical sometimes. Even the very best players in the world struggle against teams like that. Think back to in infamous Rangers 'anti football' team under Smith. Against Barcelona at Ibrox Messi, Ronaldinho and Henry were virtually anonymous. Does that make them pish all of a sudden? Both should start tomorrow, in the same positions IMO
  2. Yup that's the real dilemma mate, check with the boss.........and don't worry we have all feckin got them
  3. Whilst I totally agree the guy is a fud and has no place at any fitba' ground is shouting at the top of your voice 'you can stick your fvcking Union up your @rse' any better? I'm also wondering what your were hoping to achieve with your roll of stickers? What I mean is how would you have reacted had a No voter tried to put a No sticker on you? Not very well going by the tone of some of your posts. Glad to say there was no such nonsense to put up with where we were sitting and everyone sung FoS with gusto despite some of the BS spouted on here. I appreciate the referendum result runs very deep for some, regardless of what side you are on, but the game on Saturday isn't/wasn't the platform to voice that IMO. Thankfully the vast majority seemed to agree.
  4. You couldn't go because you were working. Now you can go go because you won't be working. Anyone else struggling to see the dilemma?
  5. Agreed but I would just like to hear their take on it and how they will justify it. They sent out detailed replies using examples such as David Guetta concerts and the like. Now don't get me wrong you couldn't pay me to see David Guetta but his shows sell out in seconds so whoever sets the prices clearly knows their market very well. For the record I totally agree with you, this isn't a product but they don't see it that way. Basically at the moment they are treating it like a business and a poorly run one at that. Surely your product is only as valuable as what people are willing to pay for it, they need to take that seriously. Who did everyone contact last time and I'll drop them an email? Would also be handy to get a copy of their last standard reply regarding the prices if anyone has that. I'll copy it in to Clyde Super Scoreboard. Of course it won't do any good, but will at least pass 10 minutes of my day.
  6. Does anyone have contact details for broadfoot? Would be interesting to hear their stance in the poor crowd. They felt it was value for money and yet their customers clearly didn't think so. They surely need to take that seriously?
  7. Cheers for posting. We were in MFF because that was the only section we could get 8 together according to the supporters club. Your pictures make a bit of a mockery of that. To OP had a very good day. Couple of cans in the car on way up and enjoyed our win. The nick some folk get in going to the fitba never ceases to amaze me My only disappointment was the crowd. Sadly poland and Gibralter will be the same. I think many are picking and choosing this campaign myself included. Fair play to those taking a stand and not going at all by way of protest
  8. Spot on with this mate. Hutton certainly wasn't terrible but definitely needs to work in his decision making in the final 3rd. Would also like us to utilise other options up front. What's the point in bringing May and Martin in if they don't get a chance. I'm not suggesting either should have started btw but it was a tough day for Fletcher. One of them would have been worth 20 minutes IMO
  9. We were back in alloa for 7.50 parked up Broomloan end and went through clyde tunnel. Ibrox is usually a pain to get away from. The lower crowd undoubtedly helped I reckon. Hampden is always a nightmare unless you park over a mile from the ground
  10. Controlled the match from start to finish barring one glaring chance for them. Should have won by more but I'm happy that we are at least creating chances. Had we won 1-0 with our only attempt I would be worried. Hutton needs to work in his final ball no question but him and the other 3 defenders cruised it. Thought it was s difficult day for the front two. 8 players camped 40 yards from goal is never easy to play against. That said the two of them worked their socks off and with better finishing both should have got a goal. Overall We need to stop being so fickle. The team are still improving and the long humps up the park have all but disappeared. A very comfortable victory and it's very much job done and into Poland. Huge game now with them winning yesterday. We can't worry about that though, it's all about what we do.

    Crowd?

I will judge. They are sad b@stards if that's their reason. Just about everyone on here despises the SFA but they still go to Hampden. Come on Scotland!!!
  12. Good god, opposition fans at the fitba singing songs and laughing at us. How on earth will we cope?
  13. I was amazed that he started Bannan in Germany as he really needs to get on the ball to be effective. He proved me wrong though. This is the sort of game that Bannan should relish. Definitely deserves his chance and like you say we have a good few options if it doesn't happen for him.
  14. Can't say I rate Forest mate. Granted I don't watch him often but my Celtic supporting mates certainly don't rate him that highly and he has done little in a Scotland shirt to date. Strachan likes him though so he will make squads and I'll be delighted to see him prove me wrong. A fully fit Snodgrass would be in there, no question. Out of interest who would you drop for him? Bannan would be the obvious choice but it then means shunting someone out wide. Morrison for me. Good to have these sort of headaches for a change. haha aye fair one mate. as you say lets get wired in
  15. This would be my team but with Morrison in for Darren Fletcher. Don't agree with Davied14. Naismith played his best football Rangers when in behind Jelavic. I agree he can be effective from wide right but Bannan deserves to play after Germany, as does S. Fletcher. Either way this team is just about as strong as we have got at the moment. Come on!!!!!
  16. Personally I'm not convinced fitba message boards are ever that representative of a supports attitude. This board's definitely isn't representative of the Scotland fans I know, and have met personally over the years. The bitterness that some folk on this board apparently live their lives by is hilarious to the point I just don't believe it. The fact is people are invisible when they post online so I tend to take the more ridiculous opinions with a pinch of salt. Pricing is definitely a thorn for a few guys I know, including myself. I'm picking and choosing my games this term as a result. Had this one not been the first home game I might not have attended. That said all of us that usually travel together are all going. I don't know one person that isn't going due to the referendum result or because the game is at Ibrox. They will all sing Flower of Scotland regardless of what they voted. The only real complaints I've heard about venues is the ROI game being at CP due to their management team and players maybe feeling a 'bit more at home there'. Personally I couldn't care less and neither is anyone I go to the games with. So in short I'm looking forward to it mate, sorry to hear you aren't though. Hopefully a 2nd minute goal tomorrow will lift your spirits
  17. Anyone have any experience of coming in from Broomloan side? Thinking junction 25 off the M8 then one of the streets off Shieldhall Road?
  18. Charles Paterson on Sky Sports 2 minutes ago saying 'we understand the game is heading for close to a sell out'
  19. Excellent post. Completely agree with you.
  20. You are spot on with this chum. I've said before that the SFA could quite easily have got away with £35-40 for Germany, Ireland and England if they had made Gilbralter, Georgia and Poland £25. We can debate all day as to whether that's value for money for 90 minutes of football but I think the majority would have accepted those prices.
  21. Correct. It's a bit like the dafties that refer to themselves as 'Footsoldiers' in that respect.
  22. Mind Tom Boyd scoring. I thought ground was full that day? What is the record attendance out of interest? Celtic 2003 or Rangers 2011 can't be far away? Am I right in saying you played Blackburn just after the won the EPL to open it? i was at school with a lad that loved them and he went through that day.
  23. 21 pages to get a bit of sense! A lot of these views, and the abuse being dished out to No voters come from the same folks that regularly get ripped into Rangers and Celtic fans for bringing Bigotry and Politics to a football match. Clearly the irony is lost on them.
  24. I've only been once but you may struggle mate. There are loads of bars down at the harbour but they were a bit more pricey as it's a popular spot for the golfers and rich swines with yaughts you will have the pick of about 30 places in Albufeira though. 25 mins on the bus
