  1. I don't see a 23/24 player watch, but Robbo is getting shoulder surgery. Not sure how long his recovery will be.
  2. Let's put some players in a time capsule and see when we open this in 4 years who makes it. I am thinking players younger than 24, they can be as young as 16 but names some names who look like they will make a future squad between now and then. Let's be having your predictions, stick your neck out.
  3. A few years back, we almost lost this site because of funding. I am not sure if the site is covering its operating expenses with ad revenue, I love this site and have been a member for 18 years and I was a lurker for maybe even two years pervious. I visit this site almost daily, so Admin's whoever you are, let us know how we are getting by and is there any way we can donate any cash for the sites upkeep? Thank-you
  4. The neat thing is, we *could* finish* third in our group and still make it to the second round. I want to totally relish the build up, last EURO's I was unemployed for 6 months prior due to Covid cutbacks and I was very distracted with life. Sticker album, EURO 2024 replica Fitba, yes please
  5. Thanks for the link, super helpful. I think Spain will go up to Pot 1 and swap with Turkey as they have two easy matches remaining, and I am convinced Italy will land above Ukraine. I may be basing it on reputation rather than form, but I think Pot 3 is far harder than 2. Back of the napkin , Pot 1 I'd like Germany, Pot 2 - Romania, Pot 3 - Us and Pot 4 - Luxembourg, Georgia, Greece or Israel even (hard to determine who will make it)
  6. If I did this right, here are what the current pots looks like, let get this out the way - we really want to be a pot 3 team instead of pot 2 which will become clearer shortly. Pot 1 - Germany, Portugal, France, Belgium, England and Spain Pot 2 - Turkey, Albania, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania and Austria Pot 3 - Scotland, Denmark, Netherlands, Czech Rep, Ukraine and Serbia Pot 4 - Slovakia, Wales, Switzerland plus One of Croatia, Poland, Finland, Bosnia One of Israel, Italy, Iceland, Greece One of Georgia, Kazakstan, Luxembourg, Estonia I fully expect Ukraine and Italy to swop places. If we had needed the playoff, we would have be in the first playoff group with Croatia, Poland and Bosnia. I want to be pot 3 for the sake of the Euro draw, I want to be Pot 2 and have two extra wins under our belt for the sake of FIFA rankings to help our World Cup qualification group.
  7. Regarding Tournament pot seedings, let's suppose we finish on the same points as Austria - does anyone know how we will be separated? My assumption is it would be Points then Goal Difference then Goals scored?
  8. So if Brown doesn't get any minutes tonight, can we please use his spot for someone else?
  9. Austria won today against Azerbaijan, but only by 1 goal. They have Estonia yet to play, and are one point ahead of us, but we have superior goal difference so far. I can't see this being the mindset, but as others have pointed out pot 2 may end up weaker than pot 3. Ending up in pot 3 may be advantagous
  10. FYI - If England lose to Italy, then the most they could get is 19 but with a very healthy GD.
  11. I looked it over, Austria are in the strongest position to end on 19 points playing the bottom two seeds. Italy have England away and Ukraine away - both hard games, and then North Macedonia. We want England to beat Italy at home and then the most that group can get is 16 points. So, Austria will/should help their goal differential big time playing Estonia away, and then it's a somewhat of a tricky fixture in Azerbaijan. Now onto us - 4 points, it's going to be close, but 6 points and we have that all important 12th place to get us into pot 2 guaranteed.
  12. Nice one. We will be at Georgia then it's back to Hampden for a party where I trust we will also take care of Norway, especially at home. I think spring friendlies are when I would look to bring in some fresh players but Ferguson deserves some minutes, start him against Georgia.
  13. I'm watching Georgia play Cyprus right now. Georgia are playing at home. We need not be worried about this Georgia team if this is anything to go on. Cyprus having the ball plenty in the final third. Kvaratskhelia isn't the type of player who can carry this team on his own and not having such a good year as last.
  14. Norway draw Spain we qualify, they need maximum points- to beat Spain at home and beat us at Hampden.
  15. Excellent point, I was listening to Paul Lambert this morning and he said it would be difficult to get anything today but he was sure we would make it hard for them. The scoreline, expected if I am honest, the stats don't tell the story of the match but the manner it came about hurts right now. We defended well. Porteous is an asset all things considered. I sure hope Robbo isn't crocked long term. The second goal was a bit of Scotland of old so I don't want to see much more of that.
  16. I think the horse has left the stable for us to finish 1st. Spain's goal difference is far too large for us to overcome IMO. If Norway beat Spain, then it's still do-able but I don't want to pressure of needing to beat Georgia away. I want qualification a certainty, that's all that matter for me
  17. I hate to say it but Dykes would have put that away
